Love the strap that is very comfortable, easy to adjust and removable to wash or replace.I don't see much improvement for running as Coros Pace 3 watch is already pretty accurate, but it is a much better option for strength training where the watch can be inaccurate and restricts some movement. One star off because it doesn't work as standalone.I read that there's no hardware limitation so hope Coros add this feature with future update and that would make this perfect 5 stars product.

I purchased the Coros HRM Armband to give me HR info on my Bosch Nyon bike computer. Pairing it with the Nyon was very easy, and I find it is very accurate and responsive. Very happy with this purchase from REI. Shipping was very fast as a bonus. The bad - it seems finding a magnetic charging cable as a spare to the one included, is very difficult. The only place I could find one is from Coros directly. One star off for this! The included charging cable does work flawlessly and charges very fast.

I was hoping to use the heart monitor for climbing as wearing a watch is super cumbersome. But came to realize after downloading the app and attempting to use the band, that it wouldn’t work?! I also read some reviews claiming that the band could pair with a Garmin watch. But it won’t pair with mine. So I guess I’ll just cut my losses and perhaps get a Coros watch in the future.

So much better than the GARMIN HRM. I had the Garmin for a while and frequently had trouble getting it to connect to the GARMIN EDGE computer, come one it's in the same family! You'd think it be seamless but it was not. The COROS always connects having a rechargeable unit is important to me. It charges well and lasts long. My GARMIN ate batteries and finally died when water somehow got inside the unit and killed it. The only complaint is I wished the light would indicate when battery is low. I'm sure you can do it in the Coros app but I didn't see any indicator and I deleted the app because it was the only Coros unit I owned. I recommend this as it's comfortable (way better than a chest strap) and the battery lasts.
This is a great piece of kit. I love the fact that I can wear it on my upper arm It feels secure on my long runs and it's not noticeable at all. It also means I can wear long sleeves and put my Garmin over the top of my jacket as the HRM in the watch is deactivated by the COROS and so doesn't need to be next to my skin! My arms and hands can stay warm and dry. I also feel that the stats are more accurate, although I would need to wear if for longer to see more numbers over time to be able to say this for sure. I'm actually enjoying my low HR training now as I have something to focus on rather than the monotony of running for a long time, very slowly!
Great heart rate monitor. I started low heart rate training and wanted something more accurate than my apple watch SE.Its a bit difficult to tell if its working with the apple watch so I reached out to Coros support and here's the response:"You can connect COROS HRM with your Apple Watch via Bluetooth directly. After establishing the connection between the HRM and your Apple Watch, the HRM will automatically connect with your Apple Watch when entering HR broadcasting and workout mode. So even though it shows disconnected in the Bluetooth list, when you put the HRM on your arm and start HR broadcasting or enter workout mode on your Apple watch, you will see the green lights on the HRM start flashing and monitor the HR data on your Apple watch."After putting on ... I use HR monitors for my work and both watches and chest strap HR monitors have a problem when the devices shift a little and make contact with bones either in the wrist or the rib cage. When that happens, they produce terrible data. This arm mounted monitor addresses the problem. Even elite level athletes have soft tissue in the back of their arms which can be used to the benefit of the monitor. Along with the strap, that soft tissue helps keep the monitor in place. It feels secure and there’s no longer a risk of making contact with bones. This enables much better data capture. I would highly recommend this product.
I've been looking for an external HR monitor and thankfully my search is over! Full transparency, I still love my Garmin watch but the HR data was starting to get spotty. I looked into the Garmin HR chest straps, including the one specifically for women which hooks onto a sports bra. However, the reviews were mixed and it was $150 dollars. After seeing many pro runners speak highly of their Coros monitors, I decided to give it a try. It's an absolute game changer! From a data side, it's very accurate and is compatible with my Garmin watch & smart trainer. From a practical side, it was cheaper than the other options and I find the armband design much more comfortable than the chest strap. I've worn it on some very sweaty long runs and it hasn't slide down or chaffed. ... MoreI've been looking for an external HR monitor and thankfully my search is over! Wholly unimpressed with this things performance. Wanted to like it. The HR though better than the two Coros watches I've used in the past year (Pace2 and Pace3, both which I abandoned/returned for erratic and unreliable tracking) but the pattern is the same. Has remarkable difficulty locking early in the workouts until it finally finds its groove later on. HR changes are registered much more slowly. That issue was small enough to forgive for the sheer simplicity and comfort of the HRM, but it would NOT pair with one of my wife's main Garmin's no matter what I tried (couple of hours of troubleshooting). That same watch sees other BT (as well as ANT+) devices and pairs just fine... Just not this Coros. Given our reasonably lengthy experience with both Garmin and Coros ... Given our reasonably lengthy experience with both Garmin and Coros devices in the past I place the blame on the new Coros HRM, not the Garmin watch... e.g. I trust the Garmin, I do not trust Coros. Firmware was up-to-date it just would not be seen by that watch. It would also not be detected by the Strava app whilst paired to an iPhone. Returning this since it can't be used.
Seems more accurate than my Coros Apex2 and Wahoo TICKRFIT. Was getting high HR spikes on those devices when I ran faster or downhill (not that I am a FKT crusher), I dont see those high HR spikes with this armband. Ran a 50K and was able to keep the HR in zone 2 mostly. The wrist monitors would have been way off, hopefully it's not just wishful thinking.
