I easily disassembled all the panels to construct my build and loved the removable panel for the front fans and top radiator assembled with tool-less thumbscrews. Great job Corsair!

This is my favorite case. Hands down. I've always had an amazing experience, personally, with Corsair products, and this case is the icing on the cake. Don't get more wrong, slim and sleek cases are cool and what not, but they aren't my cup of tea. This case is! Tons of space make it super easy for when using larger hardware like E-ATX motherboards, tri fan GPUs and 280-360mm radiators, especially if you choose to go down the road of a push pull configuration on a radiator, this case has the space! Overall, this case is an easy 10/10 for me personally. *Review is subjective and is my own personal experience and opinion*

High quality case from Corsair that needs improvement
26 December 2020

I had this case for exactly a year. Initially I was pleased with the build quality. Corsair is always high quality especially when it comes to their cases. The case looks nice but in this case its more form over function. The lack of meaningful airflow lead to higher system temperatures across the board. While the glass panels remove easily enough, taking them off to improve airflow kind of negates the point of having them in the first place. The case is decent to build in but lacks the nice little touches in the back cable management area that you see from so many other manufacturers. Cleaning the filters was a nightmare because you have to dismantle half the case to get front panel off to get to the dust filter. It's a mid ATX case, so if you're looking for something that will support longer GPU's this case simply isn't it. The included corsair LL120 fans are nice looking, but having the plug them all into the node pro makes for a mess in the back. Corsair needs to refresh their ecosystem because the cable management is simply a nightmare. Corsair like I said is high quality but their pricing is crazy. For the less money you can get a much nicer case with better airflow and room for more.

I think this is a great case and I'm totally happy with it. HOWEVER I have put together a lot of PC's over the years. If you are new to building PC's then be aware that it is tricky to fit if you have an mATX size motherboard. If you have a lot of patience then go ahead but if you are an impatient person you may want to consider a different model case or use an ITX size motherboard. Some common confusion about this case: 1) Yes, mATX fits but it blocks cable holes and prevents some liquid cooling radiator choices. If you use this size it will go right down to the bottom of the case. So while Corsair's info says a 280mm water cooling radiator can fit in the bottom, that is ITX size motherboards only! A 240mm will fit but it will be super tight against an mATX at the bottom edge where most motherboards have the USB, etc, headers. So those are a tight fit and even might not fit at all. Depending on your graphics card's thickness a bottom radiator may be a really bad idea. Be warned! 2) Top radiator: This is where to put a radiator either 240mm or 280mm but be aware the top slots to run cables will be totally blocked if you use a 280mm. This applies no matter what size motherboard. 3) Front radiator: Here is where there is plenty of space for either a 240 or 280 radiator without blocking any important holes. BUT if you put a radiator in the front, the top and bottom positions will not have enough room for a full length radiator. 4) An mATX covers up two of the rubber-grommet cable holes, leaving only one usable. Only ITX lets all 3 be used. 5) Some people complain about the glass not allowing enough air flow. I have a 5600X Ryzen 5 and it is perfectly fine. If you are cranking a Ryzen 9 or Intel i9 then you will probably find yourself in the 'not enough airflow' group but with a 5 or even I bet a 7 then you will be OK. Even if you find air flow insufficient there are two very simple changes to make. First, Corsair sells the 680X case feet on their website in the 'replacement parts' section and swapping those feet make airflow in from the bottom much greater. Second, the top glass comes with fairly long screws already and there is plenty of space to add more washers to make the air gap larger. 6) The little holes in the back grille are NOT big enough to put the screws that come with case fans. So, no, you cannot put a 80mm fan there unless you have a drill and are willing to use it. 7) The curved cutouts in the front of the case I got are large enough to fit 140mm fans, so older reviews that complain the cutouts only properly fit 120mm fans may no longer apply.

I will also make the disclaimer here that as a newbie, I am not 100% versed in computer part lingo, so forgive me if I do not describe something accurately. I’m going to break this up into great and could be better sections in that order.GREATThis is an exceptionally attractive case that will look good on any desktop. It has a wonderful side panel that is glass, not tempered plastic and actually swings out on a hinge. For building purposes the glass panel can be removed and reattached when you’re done with the build. Furthermore the opposite side panel is attached with thumb screws that make access to the compartment behind the motherboard panel a breezeThere are many cut outs near the headers when your motherboard is installed that facilitate discrete cable routing. There’s certainly plenty of room to operate, especially those of us with big meat hooks for hands and I don’t feel that any of my cables are under stress or strain. It allows you to attach your motherboard connectors without having jumbles of wires running in front of it, particularly those marvelous audio, USB and front panel connector headers on your motherboard. And depending on the motherboard you get, you may need a USB 3.2 gen two adapter for this case’s 3.2 gen one front panel connector cableBoth the top and front vents have these detachable gratings that allow you to attach your fans and AIO and then easily place them back into the case with thumb screws again. I currently have a 360 radiator AIO on the front panel. Again thanks to numerous cut outs, it becomes beyond easy to route your fan’s power and LED wires behind the mobo panel. These cut outs are just the right size in my opinion. The case also gives you multiple rubber pass throughs allowing you to determine how much tension you want put on your motherboard power supply cableBehind the motherboard is a sizable compartment that easily facilitates cable management. This separate compartment easily frees up main compartment for components and fans (or figurines!) as well. I prefer M.2 solid-state drives so I do not use SATA drives, but there’s certainly a secure drive cage in the back for them as well. There are plenty of loops on the motherboard panel for zip ties to secure and route your cables cleanlyCOULD BE BETTERThe first thing that I noticed is that there’s a significant cut out in the motherboard panel right behind the CPU. I do find it limiting when it comes to placing things like RGB hubs. It does force some creativity with the placement of components like that. The case forces you to mount your power supply on its side. Again not the worst issue but I had to re-orient the Corsair power supply so that the fan on it vented out the grating in the side panel instead of onto the motherboard panel. The way Corsair put their product sticker on this it looks like my power supply is upside down, but again not a major issue.Lastly I am using a Capelllix 360 AIO Radiator mounted to the front fans for CPU cooling. I wish the overall case length from back to front had been extended just a bit. This case forces this radiator (if front mounted) to intrude into the case just a little more than I am comfortable with. It looks like the 360 radiator encroaches on the attachment mounts for the case top and/or bottom fans depending on whether your AIO tubes are coming into the radiator at the top or the bottom. I am questioning whether or not I should’ve just used a 280 radiator on the top. I also still have yet to buy a graphics card due to supply chain issues and current pricing and I’m concerned about the radiator encroaching and/or limiting The graphics card size that I can place.Overall I think this is a great case to build in. I as a beginner, had very little difficulty operating in it and you should check it out!

No fan controller, weird description. Great case
2 February 2023

Very solid, appreciate the Corsair quality as a longtime fan of the brand. Don't be fooled, there is no fan controller, only an RGB controller so you'll need to ensure that you do purchase a fan controller if you don't already have one, or if your motherboard lacks headers or ampage on the headers for multiple fans. Recommend buying a Corsair commander pro icue with 3 ll140s for the base and rear. We also picked up an H115i for the roof of the case. Temps are pretty good, ambient temps and noise are pretty good, just the usual pump noise from AIO's. Will eventually do a custom loop, Corsair have given you all the tools, radiator mounts and space to do some great work with this. Cable management couldn't be easier with the dual chamber and I/O leads are plenty long.

I've been eyeing this case for a while and had it on my backburner wishlist on just about every reliable online store I had bookmarked, However when I finally decided to make a purchase it was not available anywhere and if it was it was marked up triple the price for its original intended price. it was gone! Within this pandemic, I felt even more discouraged that I would have had to settle for another option with none in stock. Within this pandemic, I felt even more discouraged that I would have had to settle for another option with none in stock. After researching and patience I stumbled back upon Micro Center online site where I saw an available option under "OPEN BOX"!!! Then and there no hesitation I made the purchase!!! I was fortunate enough to have two Micro Centers in my radius. With this being my First Curbside Pick-up the team at Micro Center delivered with confidence and brought my dreams come true to my arms.Bless the open box option! I was able to acquire The White variant version that I originally planned on building with because it matches my clean workstation aesthetic. I love compact builds and this fits my profile for the concept I wanted. It comes with 4 fans and a fan hub to start your build for success! This case had all the bells and whistles that a new one would have, no marks, no dents, just pure unicorn. The Corsair Crystal Series 680X is a great case and with the available option of white, you can really enjoy and showcase and be proud to have this on your battle station. In addition, the 680x extended management compartment allows you to keep your wires and storage devices clean. Minimal and Clutter-Free. The compact form factor grants you to get creative in your build especially with other complementary peripherals. Finished off with tempered glass to display the glory of your internal build allows the RGB Frankenstein to shine with life! The case design is well thought out and a great resurrection of the Carbide 540 ATX Cube Case but upgraded! this is more than a case its TIMELESS, TIME MACHINE! and a must-have.Corsair is a great brand and has a quality history of great products, For loyalty and build enthusiast I definitely RECOMMEND it and if you thinking it, DO NOT HESITATE to make the purchase. If it fits your build visions GO FOR IT!!!

Very Good but has it's Drawbacks

The case is very good and roomy. I was able to mount the rad with the tubes at the bottom (which is preferred) because I used a riser cable for the GPU. It would be nice if the case had just a little more length to it for the newer and longer GPU's. If you have a longer GPU make sure you order a PCI-E Riser Cable as well. I also chose to move the LL120 fans to the inside of the case because I installed the H150i Elite LCD that came with ML120 fans. The ML fans have more airflow but the LL fans look better and I also installed additional LL fans. Overall I would buy this case again knowing what I know now and the changes and additional changes and parts I would need to make and order.

Very shiny

Pros:* Looks great, once you get used to the unusual proportions. The glass is so flashy that the spacious matte black side cabinet just kind of blends in* Comes with 3 very fancy fans.* The hinged glass door with magnetic latch is great. So very much more convenient than a sliding thumbscrewed panel.* The second chamber on the right side is pretty huge, housing the PSU and hard disks, with tons of room left for a giant rats nest of wiring. (Or, you know, use the built in zip tie mounts and make it look clean.)* The rubber grommeted holes separating the two chambers are well sized and placed around the edges of the motherboard.* The vertical GPU mount works well is sturdy. It fits an MSI RTX 3090 well and shows it off nicely using a 200mm riser cable ... MorePros:* Looks great, once you get used to the unusual proportions. It fits an MSI RTX 3090 well and shows it off nicely using a 200mm riser cable (because, after all, isn't that the main purpose of a case like this?).* Oh, and the cooling/air flow is pretty good. And it's also quite a bit improved by populating some of the remaining four fan positions on the top and bottom.* The air filter on the bottom can simply slide out the side with the door open. I wish the front filter (and to a lesser extent the top) was as easy to get at; see cons.Cons:* Need to undo the thumbscrews holding the fan/radiator mounts on the front and top to access the front and top dust covers.* With a 280mm radiator in the top and fans in front, the radiator blocks removing the front fan holder so you need to remove the radiator mount first which is a bit of a pain to just clean off the front filter. Though some compressed air from the side works decently to clean it off without taking anything apart.* Why isn't the rear fan an LL series too? Why cheap out here?* Would have liked more than 3 3.5" bays--Oh no, I 'need' to swap out more HDDs for SSDs... But if I really wanted to, there's plenty of room in the side cabinet to creatively mount a couple more drives if it were necessary.* The front piece of glass is really not meant to be taken off, while the top piece is just four easy thumb screws.* Additional fans of the same type (LL Series) are quite pricey and were a bit hard to find in stock.Other:* The PSU vents out the right side of the case, opposite the door, so that side of the case can't be up against a wall like it could be with more traditional style cases.
