Corsair HS50 PRO Stereo Gaming Headset Blue

The speakers are fine, I think the headset as a whole is a good price for it too. My biggest problem was the fit, it did not fit me at all. I do not have a large head, and I think this headset can only fit on children or people with smaller heads. I found that it pushed so hard, it gave me a headache if I wore it for too long. The ear cuffs get hot, and its a heavy headset. The mic also apparently makes me sound nasally and higher pitched. I will use these headphones since I have them, but I'm currently going to stretch them out on a chair or something first because I cannot wear them as of now.

Best value for money headset

This is a very comfortable headset and the reason for this is the fact that the arms at the side that hold the speakers are made of aluminium and can be gently bent to make them sit perfectly against you head. They are big enough to fit completely over your ears so are comfortable for hours at a time. The sound quality is as good as Sennheiser or Bose but you wouldn't expect that from a headset at this price. Having said that they have good clear sound and I have no complaints about the sound quality. The fact that the mic just plugs in is great so it doesn't get in the way when not needed. I love the scroll wheel volume control as it is so much easier to adjust than a 2 button setup. I have a bluetooth headset but several times it has gone flat while in use and this can be a major inconvenience if you don't have another headset because it can't be charged and used at the same time. Both times the audio started failing.

This is the second pair of these headphones I have purchased. The first pair lasted about six months, but I assumed it was a fluke. The second pair I purchased also only lasted about 7 months. I know they are cheaper than some of the other models out there but they should last longer than a few months. Both times the audio started failing. It is clear why the protection on these only lasted three months. I would give this product zero stars if that was an option.

Great budget headset.

Pros: -The sound quality is amazing and it can actually be very loud, when at full volume. - The fit is great and very comfortable, great cushioning. - The microphone is removable so you can use it if you go outside. - It has a really good build so it should not break - It has a good noise cancellation (mic and sound) so you can hear much outside your headset. Cons: - The mic quality is a bit low so you might want to boost the volume, however it picks up your voice very well so sounds are not muffled. - The size is small even when you extend it so if you have a bigger sized head watch out (but should be able to fit as I do have a big head). Good Points: Headphones came at a good price and were well built and sturdy from the looks of it.Improvement Points: The audio is really muddy and it becomes hard to use them for any other purpose than gaming. Unfortunately it just wasn't easy to use them for general PC use and it had a lot of difficulty trying to distort voices from a lot of muddy unnecessary bass that it added. Unfortunately the Pro version is a lot worse than the regular HS50 but I wouldn't recommend either.

Good Points: I use this for PS4 gaming, primarily for Apex Legends and similar games. The additional features of higher headphone models cannot be used on console.It has good sound quality and definitely focuses on things like footstep audio, gun fire etc from which it is easy to detect direction and distance.The first time I had these on and fired a gun I nearly dropped the pad as I am not used to playing with headphones.Good price, good sound, no unnecessary flashy, useless features. Just a good functional headset.Improvement Points: Whilst the foam padding fits nicely around my ears the headset can feel quite tight compressing down on my head. Not sure of this is specific to this headset or all headsets but after some getting used to it it's not so much of a problem now.

Surprisingly good.

PC gamers on a budget... this is a good one! While I'm sure the build quality might not last for several years, it's pretty solid and will last quite a while unless you throw it around. The sound quality isn't audiophile quality... but it's way better than most headphones at this price range. The microphone isn't going to be good for recording music or anything of high quality, but who needs that in a gaming headset. The mic works just fine. No crackle or hiss. And they are actually quite comfortable. I expect the padding to wear out over time, but you have that with any headphones.In short... this is way better than I expected for this price point.

Worst head phones I've had

This headset sucks. I bought it about a year ago, instore and it worked fine, although the plug came semi-broken, I had to have it in a certain spot to hear anything, but It worked so I didn't return them, but about 3 months later the left ear muff started to disintegrate, so a week ago I bought replacements, and today, the already temperamental plug just stoped outputting the the right ear, and the left barely gets any thing. 0 out of 10 would NOT buy again.
