My WASD, and shift keys are all cutting out after 2 years of use.One in every 10-20 clicks I can hold down a WASD or shift key and receive zero input until the key is repressed. As you can imagine this is infuriating while gaming. 2 years is a decent amount of time, but not for a 240$ keyboard. Moreover, the W key not only cuts out at times, but it also inputs repeatedly (3-6 times) with one press, almost like the switch is being spammed. This is noticeable when typing as words with W often look like this: "wwwwwhere". For being two years old the keyboard is not as worn or used as it may seem. Was looking everywhere for this keyboard for a good price, as nowadays it’s upwards of £200+. Found it here for around £70 and even though it is second hand and B graded I took the risk. Keyboard works perfectly fine so far after almost a month of use, the only issue I noticed was that one of the keys under light is broken. It doesn’t show a true colour as one of the RGB’s are broken and so shows the wrong colour (for example, when I set it to all white lights, that key is instead lit up blue, or when I set it to all green it’s more of an orange). But for over half off of the standard price, I can live with that. Perfectly fine for me but depending on if you’re picky it might be an issue, so just beware that there could be problems.

Started double typing. The 2 year warranty is false. The moment you have a problem with the keyboard corsair will ONLY SEND you a REFURBISHED model if it is damaged after 60 days. This is not explained on best buy product description and is deceiptful of corsair. Logitech gives new replacement items when theirs are defective. Needless to say i should have bought a lofitech keyboard instead. This k70 stsrted double typing in under a year.

I bought this keyboard (but with cherry mx red switches) at a discount for $160 to replace my logitech g910 with romer g switches. Thr logite h keyboard was purchased to replace my logitech waves wireless keyboard. The waves keyboard lasted close to 7 years but i decided to go with a cabled keyboard as the key clicks on the wave would sometimes not work (only to discover this was because the battery was low). So alas i switch to cabled skeyboard. The g910 romer switches started ghosting and double double key pressing after 2ish years through normal wear and the warranty period had expired. So alas i switch to cabled skeyboard. The g910 romer switches started ghosting and double double key pressing after 2ish years through normal wear and the warranty period had expired. So i decided to be a (never again buy a logitech keyboard guy as thevkeyboard was expensive and failed even when the waves keyboard was still working fine - wtf quality?) I upgrade to the k70 that had good reviews and sounded like a solid build. Whe it arrived via online order about 20% of the keys were off the keyboard sitting at the bottom of the box. I didn't gile a complaint as they went back in the jeyboard no problem with no visible damage. For the first week of ownership all my keys would click twice as if the keys were never firmly seated from manufacturing. I had to press hard on every key for them to finally sit firmly without popping out or being raised more than other keys. This made me parinoid i made a bad purchase but after a week the keys stopped being an issue once they were actually seated properly.1 year into ownership i thought my online games were lagging as directional arrows 'wasd' would sometimes stop my character. Using the e key in battlebit to drag and heal would constsntly deactivate and i would have to press it 2 or 3 times and it would sometimes and sometimea not work. At that point i opened a pdf and began typing. A single press of the a key would computer 2 to 5 a's. Essentially this meant my key was activating and deactivating 5 times with every press in game. So my keyboard is basixally unusable within warranty period. This keyboard that was more expensive than the g910 actually failed earlier by almost 2 years. Conaidering this keyboard when not on sale retails for the mid $200 range i can honestly say mechanical keyboards (and those by corsair in particular) are overpriced (overmarketed junk). If you bought a $60 keyboard it would still have a warranty and if it broke after warranty you could replace the keyboard 3 more times and still get better value and longevity than the k70. I should note that the wasd keys come with angled grey keys... if i had a hunch i would say that the angled keys put a different kind of pressure on the switches. If my finder is not dead center on the angled keys than i find i get more compuations of the letter in one click than i do on their other keys. Something tells me that if that much side play caused by the design of those angled keys causes multiple keypresses than the tolerance/side play of the cherry mx switches is garbage or possible this lack of tolerance allows dust to get in the switch?Corsair product warranry support is trash. I put in my warranty ticket a week and a half ago and i have gotten no reply. As a result i went to their online help chat room and their customer service rep said it can take 2 to 4 days to reply to my warranty request and that someone has not addressed my ticket yet. Well i am still waiting...As a result of corsairs failure to reply to my ticket i contacted bestbuy and they said i have to return the keyboard to their store in person to fill out a warranty claim. The nearest bestbuy is 3 hrs away or 6 hrs the other direction. Round trip thats 6 or 12 hrs. With the price of gas im better off buying a new keyboard but i still have 6 months of warranty on this one. I have read online that corsair may warranty it but then you have to pay the shipping fee which is probably half the price of a new keyboard under 80$. I give corsair and this product a failing grade. If you google k70 double typing (and not on the reviews on bestbuy) you will see failures on this keyboard anywhere between 2 to 12 months. This keyboard is terrible value for your money.
This keyboard populates two (2) USB ports, Corsair thoughtfully extended a port to behind the F10/11 keys. Handily, I used for my Corsair VOID PRO Surround USB Adapter; keyboard volume & on/off controls are adjacent top right. Hint: Use USB 3 port for the keyboard to achieve maximum speed & improve Corsair’s s Utility Engine (CUE) keyboard detection. Rather than suppling game oriented key covers, entire key switch top needs to be substituted; for that purpose, a key top removal tool is included; replacements are easily snapped in place. Envisioned other uses: This keyboard makes a memorable point of sale statement, i.e., Resort front desks; creating an indelible impression generating repeat sales. Therapeutic use: Dyslexia, they say there is no known way to correct the underlying brain abnormality (trouble reading/writing accurately). From my prospective, mesmerizing color shifting left to right light wave enhances hand/eye/brain complex interconnections; look at writing (aided w/ word processing technology) as silent talking. To infinity and beyond, this keyboard, is way more than a gaming device; it has tremendous cross market appeal beyond tap, tap, tap tournament play. Want/need to buy a gift that will absolutely be appreciated, look no further, better yet, gift one to yourself!
I've been using this keyboard for about a year now, and the keyboard itself is quite comfortable to use and the keys are very smooth and highly responsive. ButI have to say, i'll be switching to a different brand in the very near future. The main reason for this is that the iCue software is TERRIBLE. Certain functions don't work, even when you're prompted to use them. It's designed incredibly poorly and I've been struggling with that program the entire time I've had the keyboard. Truly I can't recall the last time I saw such badly designed software. Some of the letters on the keys are wearing out and the paint or whatever is used on them is chipping off or peeling. I know you can get custom key caps to replace them on most keyboards, but this isn't what you'd expect ... MoreI've been using this keyboard for about a year now, and the keyboard itself is quite comfortable to use and the keys are very smooth and highly responsive. I love this keyboard as is, but if I could, I would change a few things. I don't mind the bold font, but this font is stretched out left to right and it's takes some getting used to. I don't know why they would mess with something so important. I don't like how far you have to release the key before it resets and gives you tactile feed back. This is an issue with the MX switches, possibly it is just the Blue switches. I love the idea behind the volume wheel. Who ever came up with that was a genius, but I really wish it had indents so the volume changes would be a little more definitive. I don't use Windows unless I have to. I use it for work and that's it. At this point, Proton is far enough along that if I can't play the game on Linux, I don't play the game. So I don't even have windows running on any of my computers anymore. I only use it because I have to for work. So I would really, really like it if they would support Linux. I try not to knock companies and products for not supporting Linux. I get it, there are not that many of us, but I wouldn't have bought this keyboard if it wasn't for efforts of people like tatokis who maintains a github project called "ckb-next". Without that software to control the basic functions, the keyboard would practically be useless to me. ... These key caps feel so good. I can't get over how nice they feel.
The Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile mechanical keyboard is a really great entry into the mechanical keyboard market. Those who want the beefy strength and responsiveness of a mechanical keyboard but also don’t want it taking up all their desk top real estate will see this model as a great compromise. In the box is the keyboard, a wrist rest, replacement key options for WASD and QWERDF, along with a key puller tool, and a paper user manual and warranty. One of the first things you’ll notice about the K70 RGB MK.2 is it’s absolutely built like a tank. The whole top of the keyboard including the base the keys sit on is very thick brushed aluminum. The weave sleeved cord is roughly 90 inches long and includes a handy secondary USB pass through plug. This seems intent on you plugging your mouse into, as the pass through port is located on the back middle of the keyboard. The problem with this though, is who has a mouse with a short cord? If you don’t plug your mouse into it, it’ll be a really awkward location to plug in USB drives and whatnot. The wrist rest, while fairly comfortable with a rubberized top, seems flimsy and cheap compared to the rest of the keyboard. I’d like to have seen the brushed aluminum continue onto it as well. Rubberized feet mean this keyboard does not slide around in the least. The K70 RGB MK.2’s keys have a great feel with the Cherry MX low profile switches. They’re not as clackety as the full sized switches but still definitely give you the mechanical keyboard feel. The letters are nice and bold, and the LED coloring shows through them well. While most of the keys are smooth topped (with a slight concaveness to them), the space bar and extra bonus keys provided have a pleasant diamond-plate like texture to them and are a convex shape. The number pad, home group keys and arrow keys are all in the appropriate places with expected spacing. The volume control is a metal rolling wheel style and feels very solid and smooth. You get media keys for stop, back, forward, and play/pause. There’s also some buttons for controlling the RGB display via pre-programmed sets of lighting effects. The lighting effects can be customized with the Corsair iCUE software (a hefty 300MB download and 550MB install, why?). It’s intuitive and designed to work with other Corsair RGB devices to give your entire system the same look. Most of the effects worked well, however I could not get the equalizer (the VOID VISUALIZER) to work on my system, not sure why. The iCUE software also allows you to change the polling rate of the keyboard to 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, and 1000 Hz (default). Overall the K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile keyboard from Corsair is an awesome keyboard for a fair price. If desk space is not a big deal to you, you could spend a little more and opt for Corsair’s K95 version which is not low profile and includes six extra programmable keys. A solid five eggs for the K70 though!
I've had the keyboard for 3 years now. I'm a software developer and a light gamer. I was looking for a highly rated keyboard with a nice look and this one fit the bill. Once I got the keyboard it didn't take long for me to notice that something was off. The keys are spaced slightly to far apart and the top of the keys are narrow. My fingers are always hitting the neighboring keys, causing extra key presses. This slows down my typing a lot. I think it also has to do with the travel of the keys, it seems a little too far. I've had several friends/family use computer and without asking for their opinion they all complained about the keyboard. Good Points: Just the right keyboard for me, if you are really used to typing on a laptop this might just be your best choice.-It's not as loud as most mechanical keyboards on the market (also comes with optional O-rings to make the keys even quieter).-It has amazing RGB, I've tested many keyboards and high-ed corsair RGB keyboards seem to have the smoothest, best looking rgb. It's noticeably better than that of high-end Razer keyboards.-Icue is a great software that allows you to pick from many different presets or create your very own effects.-You can Import other peoples profiles (I personally download them from Alex Krastev's Profiles website)-If you do not want icue to run in the background, you can save up to 3 profiles onto the keyboard and switch ... MoreGood Points: Just the right keyboard for me, if you are really used to typing on a laptop this might just be your best choice.-It's not as loud as most mechanical keyboards on the market (also comes with optional O-rings to make the keys even quieter).-It has amazing RGB, I've tested many keyboards and high-ed corsair RGB keyboards seem to have the smoothest, best looking rgb.
