Purchased 2 of these kits, since Ive gotten into 3D modelling and Texturing I needed more memory space, after upgrading from 4x Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb sticks. After spending 1-2 weeks teying to diagnose my issue, Ive gotten BSODs daily, and Crashes multiple times a day. Memory Diagnostic Tools state Hardware Problems detected, on the Brand New kits. Cant return them after 3 weeks, instead of a 30 day return period. So now I need to reach out to Corsair to see if they can help, if not Im in the hole for over $270. Also, it wont let me add puctures via mobile.

This memory is coupled in a bundle with the x570 ASUS TUF Gaming Plus MB. If you go to ASUS this specific memory isn't listed as compatible in this version. The memory does work with the build unfortunately the clocking speeds will differ. Again Best Buy is just tossing older technology together in hopes that they can unload it. Buyer beware. their is nothing wrong with the memory modules. it's just how Best Buy bundles the products to get rid of them and duping customers.

Let me preface this by saying I started buying Corsair Vengeance Pro memory DDR3 modules in 2012 and haven't looked back.They're a little more spendy than a lot of the other newer brand options on the market, and Corsair doesnt boast the greatest CAS latency numbers, but their modules are ROCK solid and do what they're advertised to do. I have a theory that most anyone experiencing issues with Corsair modules are likely experiencing compatibility issues. Most CVP models utilize a 1.65v power requirement and some boards may not support that requirement as the baseline for most memory is 1.45v. Check cooler spacing specs and reference module height before purchasing. If running a custom liquid cooling solution, or AIO, it should be a non-issue.The bonus of the large heat spreaders, is that they keep the chips COOL (including when running them in all memory slots) according to OHM. I was concerned about how much heat may be generated by the LEDs being stacked right on top of the heat spreaders as some other SSD manufacturers that have tried adding RGB has caused major heat issues, but that isn't the case here. Kudos to Corsair.Like I mentioned before, I've been buying the CVP model modules for 10 years and I've never had a failure on a module over the course of 4 new builds. I'd recommend CVP modules to anyone looking for a great, reliable memory kit for their new build, or anyone just looking to add a larger memory pool to their current build.note: RGB isnt a big deal to me, but I will say the RGB on the heat spreaders does look great.

Installed 2 kits for 4x8GB DIMMS. Despite not showing on the QVL for the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570 WiFi, other kits from Corsair at the same speed and timings were listed, so I took a punt. Getting DOCP to work properly and run the RAM at the advertised specs was a bit of a faff, but that’s on the mobo. In the end, there does seem to be a noticeable improvement in the performance of certain games that are CPU and/or RAM intensive (I upgraded from Corsair LPX 2x8GB 3000MHz C15), and that’s just using the XMP/DOCP settings (I.e. not any further over clock). The RAM worked great right out the box, however, my MB didnt like the speed they were advertised for. Updated BIOS, updated the RAM through iCue somehow, but no go. I had to run them at 2933mhz which is what the MB can run without OC. had to return though because whats the point of having RAM that doesnt run at advertised speeds. I DID CHECK QVL AND THEY WERE LISTED ON THERE. Might be RAM size dunno. I switched back to my 16GB kit which is not listed on the QVL for the MB, yet it ran at 3200mhz which its what its rated for. so I cant figure this out. Might try a 4x8GB configuration see if that works
I got these two 8gig sticks for a pretty sweet deal compared to online and had no problem installing and clocking them up to 3600mhz. They paired nicely with my AMD build, with a b550-e and 5800x.When the employee helping me actually grabbed these out of the case he noticed that the first box he grabbed was slightly dented/or had been previously opened and and chose to pick another pristine box instead. This care of quality was awesome and greatly appreciated! Given the quality of the store and care of the employees I'm sure the first box would have worked just fine or else not left behind but the consideration was refreshing from experiences with other retailers.

I assumed there was an issue on my end.I have had these moduals one month ago and had my first RAM enduced shutdown yesterday. I "upgraded" to these moduals from non-rgb Corsair memory but have found these ones more prone to issues. If I were building a new system and had time and patience to wait I would probably select a different setup.Ultimately time, budget, availability and access are all considerations you will need to weigh. These are not bad for short-term game sessions or non intensive games but seem to come up a little short when put under more demanding load and conditions. This may be a decent entry level set for someone really looking for a DDR4 rgb setup but I would probably bypass rgb if it meant getting a more stable setup.

Time will tell if that holds.While mixing and matching likely won't cause serious problems for the majority of uses, I just didn't want to risk instability while editing huge video files, and those random game crashes, while infrequent, were irritating. If you just game and browse the web, then a single set of 16GB (2x8GB) or even 32GB (2x16GB) will be fine and won't come with the headache of trying to find matching sets. Also, 32GB of memory is plenty for casual video and even professional photo editing. It would be best to buy a single kit of four sticks if you're looking to fill out four memory slots, though, but Best Buy doesn't seem to carry such sets. So, if you need to order memory online, or if you can't find matching sets in their store(s), you'll need to try another retailer. Through other sellers, you can also find 2-stick kits of 64GB total, which will run even faster than a 4-stick kit while also being even more stable. Or, you can get a 4-stick kit of 128GB total, which will let you run virtual machines, edit 8K HDR video, etc.Finally, are you reading this, Best Buy? If so, perhaps you can start stocking 4-stick kits, since you sell motherboards and pre-builts with four memory slots. It could save you a lot of open-box RAM from returns. ;)
