I have very acne prone skin and have found hinokitiol products help. I tested this on a patch of normal skin and no irritation. HOWEVER, when I apply this to an area of skin with acne, the acne gets worse! The redness increases! I tried different amounts but no change. Don't buy this product.

I have been using this product for only a couple of days but I already feel my complexion more even. I use the Cos De Baha Azelaic acid and Hinokitol at night time in clean skin after cleansing and toning my skin. I am using it in conjunction with the Tranexamic acid as I’m looking forward to a more even tone with less dark patches. This is a great product as well as the several others I have tried from this great, reliable, affordable brand and that’s why is often out of stock! I recommend and planning to buy more. I use this in conjunction with the niacinamide and azeleic acid switching up each use before bed. I have not used it frequently/everyday, as I noticed I developed a few bumps when I tried. I have sensitive skin, so I have to gently ease into using it on a more frequent basis. I have not used it long enough to see much of a difference, however, I plan on trying to use it for around 6 mos to see if I receive any benefits from its use. The scent is not bad, the size is small, but it seems to spread nicely. The composition is a liquid consistency that I use on my face, neck and upper shoulders. The packaging is nice and simple. I hope this helps!

My skin type: Combination dry/normal/oily t-zone. Occasional acne but not major.Got this to try because the regular AZ is out of stock - did not think the tea tree in this was that STRONG! If you have sensitive skin, I don't recommend this. My skin isn't super sensitive, but even I felt the minty/tingly/burning feeling was a little too much. Not sure about the long-term effects of the product is yet - noticed I did get some CCs after a few days of use, but that might just be purging.For Cos de Baha's regular AZ acid, I'm able to use it every day as it's quite mild for me. I took it to work with acne and post-acne. I liked this product because it also contains niacinamide, salicylic and hyaluronic acid. Its texture seems to be a little oily, there is a rather strong aroma, but it feels pleasant on the skin. I use it in my nighttime skincare routine - cleansing and toning, then this serum, and finish with a nourishing cream. It leaves your skin very smooth and beautiful, with time you can see that the acne marks and spots do fade.
