I received a pair of Reeftons towards the end of last year. I loved the looks and fit of the glasses, but over time I noticed the hinges started getting loose and floppy. After ~6-8 months, the hinge popped out if the frame and became so loose that it wouldn't stay in at all. I filed an insurance claim and costa was awesome enough to send me a brand new pair free of charge. I have had this second pair for less than 6 months and now have the same problem again. The ear piece and hinge popped out from opening them today and they feel like they're being held together by just a thread of plastic. My previous pair of Costas lasted 8 years and never had any issues with the hinges. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this model.

Best sunnies on the market. Crap on all spotters and tonic and mako on weight alone. Clearest lenses youâll ever look through. My last pair lasted me over 10 years and are still going, and they spent 8 of those years as my work pair on a pro coral trout boat. You will never wear out the polarisation as itâs been layed between two sheets of crystal clear glass.

The lens are second to none and they are comfortable. At the end of the day though I will be selling the pair I purchased. These really need an adjustable nose piece. They sit up high on my face so maybe my nose is too broad but most people I see wearing these something just looks off. I ended up buying a pair of Hurley sunglasses for about 30% of the price as these. The lens aren't as good as these but they are good enough and fit my face alot better.
I typically wear the Brine model which is tiny compared to the Reeftons. What I love is the spring hinges, and the fact they are like a windshield on your face. I can rarely catch a glimpse of frame. What I donât like is the nose bridge area when extremely humid or if you are sweating tend to fog up. Itâs a small issue, but an aggravation when it happens. I suspect they will be best for cooler weather fishing.
My sunglasses arrived in a timely manner. After wearing them just a couple of times, one of the arms fell off. I got on your website to start the replacement process and found it to be rather tedious and difficult. I did finally get through that process successfully. Following that, I got an email that the glasses with the lens color I wanted were no longer available, so I had to choose from other options to receive my replacement. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. I like your sunglasses though.
I had my reeftonâs for 2 years. They were an awesome pair of shades and no complaints. The lenses eventually got scratched and the frame hinge broke all on my own accord. I went through Costaâs repair program expecting to pay something for the repair. I wasnât charged for shipping or anything AND I was given a brand new pair instead of my old repaired glasses. Turnaround was within about 1.5 weeks and I couldnât be more satisfied. Entire experience was fantastic! Kudos to Costa and theyâll definitely have my future business!
1st the bad - Non of the frame selections for Reefton's come in a gloss finish, only matte. The matte finish makes the glasses look cheap, which they are not, especially on the Tortoise style. Their Standard glossy Tortoise is majorly better looking than the Retro Tortoise. The Green Mirror 580G doesn't look anything like the product images they have on their site. Not even close. It's more of a blue to green mixture swishy mixture. Not nearly as attractive as the Blue Mirror 580G's.2nd the good - Exceptionally comfortable thanks to the double hinged frames on my wide noggin. I got the Green Mirror Glass on this pair because I have the blue Mirror glass on my Corbina's and unless it's blazingly bright out it's harder so see things with the Blue. Came broken and the costumer service is horrible. They say if itâs within 30 days to contact costa. I did that and then costa is now saying I have to do a warranty claim which is talking forever. Highly disappointed and wouldnât recommend costa anymore they use to be good but their quality has gone way downhill and their costumer service is awful. We bought a pair off costa website that came broken in the box the ear piece wasnât even connected. We also bought a pair off Amazon and they came with a chip in the glass by the nose piece on the left lens. Not impressed one bit. Weâve bought costa in past and they were good but idk what youâve changed but your quality is definitely not the same. Very dissatisfied costumer
