Costa Del Mar Saltbreak Polarized Sunglasses Wetlands/gray 580P

These costa sunglasses are the best sunglasses for work. I wear mine everyday. They are very durable and fit great. The lens are glass and have great protection from the sun. I would recommend these sunglasses to anyone!!

Amazing glass, but the rubber delaminated

Had these for several years of very light use. Love the glasses - best lenses ever (glass)... BUT the rubber along the nose bridge and bottom of the frame on the cheeks totally separated. They were not left in a hot car. Got in touch with Costa hoping that they could repair them, but they would only replace them. They offered free replacement of any pair I wanted, which is great, but they no longer carry the ones I really liked. Pretty good service but really disappointed about the delamination problem. Also - wish I could reach their service/warranty group by phone, but the only option offered is chat. Service and response is good, but I prefer to speak with a representative.

Awesome buy

I was worried about which frame to pick and that was the major downfall, besides the price. As soon as I put these on after buying these, there was a world of difference from the old sunglasses I have which are the Under Armour Ignitor 2.0. These fit comfortably on my face and I can't tell that they are there anymore. The clarity of the lenses are amazing!!! I would have gotten the polycarbon lenses but there was a limited selection on a lot of the glasses butI could not be happier with this purchase. The reason I chose these instead of the more popular ones like fantail or others is because these didnt feel like they were smothering my face, these felt like they sat on my nose and wrapped to my ears just right the others seemed to be too much frame. The 580G to me dont seem to heavy and after a while you cannnot tell the weight difference. Im glad I chose the 580g over the 400g because there is a lot of difference in the clarity. I am so happy with these Costas and I will definitely going to get more in the future!!!

Best Sunglasses Ever!

I'm a commercial fisherman so I'm constantly on the water fishing. I've tried many different types of sunglasses but nothing compares to my Costa Saltbreak sunglasses. I custom ordered mine from Costa with the green mirror glass lenses and couldn't be happier. The clarity is amazing being able to actually see the fish in the water amongst a lot of other things you can't see with other glasses. Not to mention they're extremely tough glasses and very scratch resistant. Yes they are expensive glasses but they are worth every penny and I'll never buy any other brand besides Costa.

Great lenses

This is my second pair of Saltbreak Glasses. I left my first pair years back in a restroom and when I returned they were gone. I then received a pair of Maui Jim glasses for 45 years of service where I work and was disappointed. I then bought another pair of Saltbreak blue lense and my eyes are soothed again. I use them for riding a motorcycle and driving a truck. They are unmatched by anything else. I have owned them all!

Nose pad doesn't last

I have two pairs of these, both have had the nose pads fall off, the second pair after just 1 year. The first pair was repaired under warranty. I mailed them in and they replaced the frames. Now costa no longer repairs glasses, just replaces them. My second pair is black frames with green glass lenses. I was only offered three replacement I was options:1. black frame with BLUE PLASTIC lenses2. clear frame with BLUE glass lenses3. some other style I didn't likeSo basically they offered me 3 cheaper options. Very disappointed in their customer service. They sell replacement lenses, so why not replacement frames? Perfect replacement for my favorite sunglasses

I’ve owned a pair of Costa sunglasses for over a decade. I recently decided to hang up my old pair and get a replacement. Costa no longer provided my previous style but these were about as close to them as I could get. I have always been impressed with the clarity, durability, and comfort my old sunglasses provided but the new ones feel lighter than the old style but just as durable. Let’s hope I can get another decade out of these new sunglasses.

Poor Quality

I lost my 5 year old Saltbreaks and after a couple of trips back to the restaurant I left them in I broke down and ordered a new pair. I decided to be a little different this time and got the blackouts. I have to say these are by far the worst sunglasses I have ever had from Costa. They quality of the frames equal that of gas station sun glasses. Every time I put them on they creak and sound like they are about to break. Maybe I made a mistake by not getting the Tortise frames again but these things a just junk. Very sad to see a company that always had such a great product go downhill. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the lenses are still good. Don yourself a favor and don’t waste $300 like I did.

Returned But An Awesome Pair

Although I returned my pair of Saltbreak's, I do want to say that the pair was an great pair. It just did NOT fit my face and was a tad short on my nose to ear distance. Therefore, the earpieces on the arms were shorter than expected and I felt uncomfortable with them on. It would have left a crease on my face by pulling in the glasses too close to my skin when I took them off. Other than that they were a five star pair, nevertheless!

Sidearms too narrow

Loved the look of the glasses. However, I needed to return them because they were to tight and were giving me a headache within an hour of putting them on. I suggest Costa offer this with wider (or foldable) ear pieces. Disappointed they didn't fit because I really liked them.
