Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation, Cappuccino | Makeup

L40 Trublend gives me just the right amount of coverage. Not too heavy for these warm days but enough. I apply with a bouki brush for a smooth finish, a blender sponge tends to streak. Moisturizer, oil free formula that lasts all day and cleans off easily at the end of my day! Finish using very comparable to the high end brands for much less. Give it a try and find your perfect color.

This is by far the best foundation I've come across. I have alot of scarring on my face so I'm always looking for great coverage. I also have oily skin so always looking for a matte look that will outlast the day. This is a buildable foundation to achieve your wanted coverage, it's lasted all day through even the busiest days at my Jon, and the color matches me perfectly. Been using it daily for 10 yrs almost. It'll be hard to convince me to change brands.

I would like to talk about my favorite foundation for the daily basis and even night look! I have a mixed skin and had really good experiences with it. l personally prefer foundation with low coverage for every day look and this foundation it's just perfect. It lasts all day and it keep the oiliness away, and I don't feel like applying powder to settle it. It's also a good option for all skin types. I would highly recommend this foundation for all ages, young or old. Worth the try.

THIS IS MY HOLY GRAIL! I use this every single day that I use foundation. Which is usually maybe 1-2xs a week. This foundation leaves your skin looking so fresh and CLEAN! Hydrated and dewy. Didn’t even know that was a mix. I absolutely LOVE this foundation, and they have a great shade selection to choose from. I love the inclusivity. I have tried so many brands of foundations but this one is my girl. I’m sticking by her. I’ve even had people ask me there’s no way you are wearing foundation. Depending how you set it you can’t tell the difference. It truly blends with your skin so perfectly. The name suits it perfectly. I will be sticking with Covergirl for years to come! Amazing!

This was my go to foundation for so long! it's the only shade that will truly match my skin tone and doesn't feel too heavy and covers really well. One day I couldn't find it at any shops anymore and I was devastated for so long, so you could imagine the excitement and pure joy that came over me when I found it on Bella Scoop! Happy to be a Cover Girl customer again

I used Cover Girl products in the 1980's when I was a teenager, but then stopped as I avoid any cosmetics/ beauty supplies that are tested on animals. Hadn't bought anything Cover Girl for decades for that reason.However, things change, times change, and now Cover Girl is Leaping Bunny certified. I thought I'd try it again. I purchased the TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation in L40 (Classic Ivory). The color was perfect !Although I'm almost 57 years old, any kind of anti-aging foundation meant for 'mature skin' is always too greasy/ shiny for my skin. I have some red scars on my face, so I need pretty decent coverage to hide them. I've tried so many brands and formulas of various kinds of foundation over the decades (inexpensive to mid-priced) and found it difficult to find the right color, the right texture, and the right coverage. Plus, I like to apply foundation with my fingers, and really just want to even out my skin tone and not look too 'done up'. I add some blush, mascara, and tinted lip balm, and I'm done with my makeup routine for the day. Nothing too complicated or time consuming.This Cover Girl foundation does a pretty good job of doing what it was supposed to do. I could put a light coat on my face, and then lightly layer a bit more over my red scars. The foundation didn't look shiny or greasy at all during a 12-hour day. It didn't have any odd unpleasant scents. It looked like natural skin, and not a heavy face of make-up.I'm old fashioned and dislike anything that (might) break or stop working, so not a fan of the pump applicator. Would rather just have a regular bottle without any pump. That is my only complaint really.For the price I paid, the coverage, and everything.... certainly, I'd buy this foundation again.

Natural matte

Love this for my combo skin. I'm not extremely oily but I needed something that would actually last throughout the day without needing to powder by midday. I actually like it better than the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear. I am shade 090 in Lancome but have not been able to find a good color match as 090 is too light and the next shades are too dark and orange. I have very fair neutral skin. I prefer how the covergirl looks, it is very smooth with slightly better coverage, and L20 is a great shade and a closer match than the Lancome (maybe L20 is a dash too light but it looks perfect after bronzer). It gives a natural matte finish that doesn't cling or look cakey. Works well on my middle-age skin with fine lines. Has great medium-full coverage. Highly recommend!

Not Sure Who This Works For...Not Me!

Terrible. It goes on thick like a paint and takes time to "set" and look like you didn't just coat your face with clown makeup. It left me chalky and ashy looking from the start and didn't wear well throughout the day. Eight hours later I looked like a cadaver with splotchy darkness under my eyes - which I don't have without makeup on! - and pore-forward looking skin elsewhere.I tried. I really did. A full week using various application techniques. It never got better. At best I looked like I was ready for stage lighting, at worst for a hospital bed. I was more embarrassed to be seen in public with foundation on than with my freckly, rosacea natural skin.They recommend this for people who used the Clean Matte, no longer made, which is why I tried it. Smells like wall paint!

I was seeking out a new foundation with staying power, and I saw that the CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation kept showing up in online articles rounding up the best long-wearing, non-transferring foundations. So I went out and bought it. Unfortunately, when I opened it and applied it to my hand (not even my face - my hand!), it had a really toxic odour, very similar to wall paint. It made me feel so sick, there was no way I could handle having such a strong smell of paint all day on my face, so I had to return it. I really wanted to like this one, so I was very disappointed. Now I understand why so many foundations have added fragrance, it must be to cover up such a strong chemical scent.
