I bought one of these for a particular purpose. I am into locksport (recreational lock picking), and bought this as a "third hand" to securely hold locks while I'm working at them.The only issues I found were the edges of the jaws are bare metal, so they're a little abrasive and rough. I solved this by gluing felt along the edges of the jaws. The other issue is the bottom clamp for securing the vice to a bench could be a bit wider, to accommodate a thicker desk or bench top. Still, it does the job very nicely, in that regard it's excellent value for money!

I may have misread the size measurement in that if you want to have a vice that opens to 50mm then do not buy this vice it has a small opening. It is stiff to use and is of poor construction. In short it is a piece of junk.

Good strong little vice. I bought it to hold the ceramic/stone rings i have that are too small. Ill gring the middle out of them to make the whole bigger.

I purchased this vice 12 months ago and absolutely love it. I have used it at least 5 times a week. I use it for my hobby of building wooden ships and I cannot fault this vice for this purpose.
It looks cheap, feels cheap, but it is cheap. And it does its job, namely holding tiny object with a reasonable amount of force. Just don't act like a 200 pound gorilla when working on it, and you'll be fine. Honestly for 12 bucks, you can't complain.

Purchased this vice as I had a similar version when I was a teenager. Unfortunately, this vice is really poor. It is NOT a 50 mm (2inch) vice. Only opens to 35 mm. Beyond that the threaded opening bolt falls out of the jaws. Must be a different 'metric' system where this was made.
This item has already broken from simply tightening the screw. Cheap enough but not worth it when it breaks so easily
I recently got this product and when I received it it was coated with oil which got on my bench and hands and as if that wasn't enough, the vice jaws aren't alined and the clamp is too small to clamp it on too most benches. Knew it would be cheap but not this cheap.
Very poor quality tool, crudely made and snaps in two on slight tightening pressure.
