Love this stuff. After cleaning your face, pat a tissue to dry your face and apply a generous amount of tonic on a cotton pad and wipe your face. Do it in a upward motion (anti-gravity). This will leave your skin prepared for the rest of your La Mer beauty regimen. Always good to have a second bottle. A year or 2 ago, La Mer ran out of this stuff for a while. Since then, I don't take any chances. The toner is refreshing and makes sure your skin PH is in balance!

This product is a miracle! The fragrance is how I imagine that heaven would smell like. Lol! I can't say enough about how much I love the tonic. Luxurious, skin-transforming, fresh and light, I love sweeping it across my face

Not for sensitive dry skin. Got my face and neck turning bright red just after use. Also small pimples all over the face. I really wanted to like this, but it's a complete waste of money.
I've used other toners in the past and have reacted on both my forehead and chin. With this one, I only react on my forehead so I've given it 4 stars as I'm not completely satisfied! This is my second bottle and I've bought it again because I notice a difference when I use it and don't. When I use it I need less moisturiser as it allows the moisturiser to glide on smoothly. Whereas with no tonic I use more moisturiser. Although I acknowledge that I'm prone to a reaction from the tonic more than from overuse of moisturiser on my forehead so it must be the tonic. I apply it after washing my face with the cleansing foam. Instead of using a cotton ball I just splash a few drops on my palm and dab it on my face and neck with both hands. I've been using Lamer for a year. I wanted to incorporate a toner into my skincare regimenand researched The Tonic. I have dry skin with redness and really wanted something that would help with that. Within a week of adding The Tonic to my regimen, I noticed my skin seemed brighter and smoother, and my coloring seemed more even. I LOVE it. I cleanse my face with the Cleansing Gel and then use the Tonic. I follow that with the Treatment Lotion. And now that it's summer, I don't even need much, if any, moisturizer (I use Creme de la Mer, Soft Cream, or Cool Gel Cream, depending on what my skin needs). I just started using my second bottle and highly recommend this product.
I purchased this product after receiving a sample. The sample smelled delicious! It has an almond aroma. When I received the full size product a few days ago, the product has zero smell. First time a La Mer product is 100% unscented? Why send samples then that are totally different than the product? I have been a long time customer and after getting the runaround on email and then the phone with no reason behind this. I'm a bit nervous about the quality of La Mer Products. If there has been a formula change, shouldn't it state that somewhere? The kind woman on the phone says that there was a formula change in 2009. Is my sample from then? Hope not :(
I was so excited to buy this product and try it. Unfortunately it made my face break out so bad. I mean breakout like on every surface of my face. As I teenager I never had breakouts or bad acne. Even on my time of the month I dont break out. Yet, in a matter of days of trying out this product I look like a pmsing teenager. I order the creme de la mer shortly after I ordered this tonic and now I'm a bit wary of what it's going to do to my face. I'm in my 30s and I've tried a few products throughout my life. I've never had something affect me this badly before. So bummed.
