Crock Pot Artisan Enameled Cast Iron Braiser w/Lid, 5 Quart, Sapphire

Loving this pot so far. Cooked once with it made some collard greens. No complaints. The pot has some weight on it the lid is a little heavy and gets hot, so be mindful of that. It’s a nice color, too. Great buy.

I love this enameled cast iron braiser, it is the perfect size to make various dishes, from stews to browning and slow cooking a roast. The glaze is a beautiful muted blue with a darker gradient from the firing, it is a really lovely effect. The pot looks and feels like it is good quality and a great value for the money. I recently made chicken paprika and it dispersed and retained the heat well and the dish was cooked perfectly... then the best part was that clean up was a breeze, all that was needed was warm soapy water and a dish sponge. I cannot wait to use this versatile braiser over and over again in my kitchen, it will likely be stored permanently on my stovetop because it will get used so often.

I was looking for a not too shallow, not too deep braising pot. Everything was too small or big. This was the Goldilocks of pots for me. This works for making chunky stew-like /risotto-like recipes that require braising/searing. It also works well for Indian curry dishes or rice based dishes like biriyanis.

I read somewhere not to waste money on Le Creuset braisers or dutch ovens as Crock Pot is a much less expensive alternative that will deliver the same results. I've used it so far to braise short ribs, fry shrimp cakes and cook potstickers. Beautiful results every time with no stick and easy clean up. I will definitely purchase another braiser but in a different color (maybe pink or purple).

Beautiful and just was I was looking for!

Arrive on time and was packaged well. Nothing broken or chipped. Beautiful and heavy. Cooked food with no sticking of the meats but of course the seasoning stuck to the bottom. Easy to deglaze the pan to remove the bits. Washed up nice after letting soak with dawn and hot water. Scrub mommy paste finished up the job but it was over easy to clean and back looking like new. Would recommend!

I was hesitate to purchase this pan at first, not sure if I would actually use it, but I wanted one. When I received it I was surprised how heavy it was, almost sent it back, but so glad I didn't. I waited it seemed forever to use it, but once I did I haven't stopped!! I love this pan ! Although heavy, at least for me, it does a fantastic job of cooking. I use it almost everyday ! It is so versatile and cleaning is a breeze. Very much satisfied with this purchase !!

Good value, beautiful color and energy saver

This is my 4th pot/pan from Crock Pot brand. I think it's a good value and the colors they offer are beautiful. Electricity is expensive in CA and these are designed to use low heat and retain heat so you use less electricity. They clean up beautifully with a non stick scrubber, Dawn and vinegar to get the tough stains out. I have a Lodge 5 qt Dutch oven and you can't cook high acid food or it will damage the finish. I made apricot jam in the Lodge and it stained the exterior, bummer. These pots and pans don't have those restrictions. This 5 qt braiser pan is a good value and I highly recommend it.

Gorgeous and Quality!

Recieved this today and after washing, immediately set to make a traditional jambalaya. Absolutely great quality! Good heat control and the color is beautiful. Easy clean up too. Yes, the pieces are heavy, but it's cast iron, that's to be expected. Bottom is completely flat, hard to find for my flat cooktop. Looking at buying more pieces!

Nice, but the green is not green

Love the pan, hate the color. This color "pistachio" shows up on every one of my computers, as well as 4 of my friends' computers as a bright cheerful green color. Just as pictured in the description, so I know it is not my monitor. However, the real color is a dull, almost dirty looking mint green color. So I docked stars for the color. The pan is way too heavy to bother sending it back and I live too far from Walmart to take it back. I love the pan itself and I'd give it 5 stars, but I hate the color and would give that zero stars.

One of the best purchases I have made

I have used this every day since the day it arrived. Cooks evenly, and I feel like I don't need any of my other frying pans or pots because this works great for everything. If you are on the fence, don't wait. I guarantee you will feel the same way.
