Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400 SODIMM CT8G4SFS824A
Increased speed. Increased battery life. High memory capacity. For your next-generation laptop. In a world of constant technological change, components that are more than five years old always need to be modernised. And at the age of seven, DDR3 memory is quite old. Laptops have much greater potential. Since the introduction of DDR3 memory technology in 2007, processor capacity has doubled and SSD throughput and graphics card frame rates have increased dramatically. The only limiting factor so far has been memory. Crucial DDR4 SODIMMs also overcome this bottleneck, so that nothing stands in the way of a new standard in performance. More energy efficiency Increased battery life thanks to lower power consumption. Crucial DDR4 SODIMMs operate at 1.2 V, whereas standard DDR3 memory components use 1.5 V. This corresponds to a reduction of about 20%. Crucial DDR4 SODIMMs, however, have even more efficiency features that enable an overall reduction in power consumption of up to 40%.

When checked in the system using the command prompt, the product appears to be not an original Crucial SODIMM. The name of the manufacturer listed is \"059B,\" not Crucial. But the capacity (16 GB), speed (2666 MHz), and form factor (SODIMM) are correct. Only the brand name is the problem.

I just purchased a new HP all-in-one computer with a 4GB memory. It worked well but rather slow because of the limited memory. I was advised to add an additional 4GB and purchased the DDR4 - 4 GB - SO-DIMM 260-pin. It was a relatively easy install and has made quite the difference in the speed and optimized use of my computer! The difference is outstanding!!! I'm so glad that I purchased this product. CDW website is user-friendly, the shipping was super fast and I'll be back:)

As per the manufacturer's website, CT8G4SFD824A is a SODIMM chip. I cannot confirm whether this is an issue of manufacturer defect by mislabeling chips or if this is actually a counterfeit chip but the specs are not as they are advertised by the maker so I feel that a 1 egg rating is in order.

Greatly improved older CPU, also got new Hard Drive....so PC starts RIGHT up, and allows me to work at my usual speed. No swearing, no threatening to toss out a window. Saves on new PC.
Product was as described, east to install. The computer responds rapidly instead of waiting for memory to clear out before moving to the next thing to do. Back to multifunction instead of single track preformance.
Significantly Increased my laptop's resources as expected. Playing videos has shown a marked improvement. The price is very competative. Istallation was simple and there are instructions found easily onlibe.
This is the 3rd bath of DIMMs that I have purchased for a laptop upgrade - first 2 were from the big online retailer and I hade to return them both as they were NOT what was advertised. B&H has come thru again this RAM has worked flawlessly and I am up and running!!!!
My HP desktop has been running slowly, and with a total of 12GB RAM, one 8GB, and one 4GB module I found that almost all of the RAM was being used. I would also end up with Registry errors and problems waking the machine from sleep or not going to sleep. At the price offered for a 16GB module, I found it worthwhile to purchase two to upgrade my system. What a difference! The computer is much faster, the screens don't hang up and problems like I've had are no longer there. The Crucial memory modules made all the difference in the world.
I bought this because Crucial has info on their web sight which explicitly states which of their products is compatible with many new computers. I found the page for my new Acer laptop, and bought this part to upgrade the memory from 8 -> 16. It snapped right in and worked like a charm! I've previously user Crucial SDDs, and they provide useful software for migrating your OS to the new disk. Other SSDs (Toshiba) I've used just tell you to go use some freeware, which half the time doesn't even work. So far I"m impressed with this company.
Ordered this to upgrade my work laptop from 8GB to 20... has 4 gigabytes pre-installed on motherboard and a 4 GB chip currently installed in the expansion slot. Replaced the 4 GB chip with this 16 GB piece, laptop works perfectly and is much more responsive when multiple programs are opened at the same time. Note that I previously looked up this part number as compatible with this laptop, but for some reason the Crucial website is not currently showing this part as a compatible upgrade for this laptop. I can definitely confirm that it works perfectly in this model laptop.
