This food processor is in a tie with my KitchenAid stand mixer for all-time favorite appliance. One time I thought it broke and I literally started crying, so you could say I have an unhealthy attachment to it. But it’s that freaking good! It can handle basically any task provided that you don’t go over the liquid fill line. I’ve owned mine for 7 years now and it still works like an absolute dream. It comes with tons of attachment to make quick work of tedious kitchen tasks like grating cheese. I really can’t say enough good things about this appliance!

I've had my Pro Custom 11 cup food processor for a month now and I am loving it! I've never had a food processor before so I don't have anything to compare it to but I'm glad I picked this model. I researched and watched a zillion videos and reviews, comparing models and brands before I finally picked this one. One reason I like this model is because of the extra flat lid that I use when it's sitting out on my counter and when you are using the chopping blade inside the bowl. Also, because I am only cooking for 2, I almost purchased the 9 cup because I thought this 11 cup might be too big. Now that I've used it, I wouldn't want it any smaller - or bigger. It's just right. I've shredded cabbage to make coleslaw and grated carrots and I'm giddy that it made quick work ... MoreI've had my Pro Custom 11 cup food processor for a month now and I am loving it! Also, because I am only cooking for 2, I almost purchased the 9 cup because I thought this 11 cup might be too big. Now that I've used it, I wouldn't want it any smaller - or bigger. It's just right. I've shredded cabbage to make coleslaw and grated carrots and I'm giddy that it made quick work of those - and no scraped knuckles! I used it to shred cheese and mix the ingredients for a cheese ball and even kneaded dough for a small-batch bread recipe. As others have mentioned, I was concerned about being able to put a whole piece of food in the large chute. It looks like you have to cut it up skinny and small and put in into the smaller chute, even though the description said you could use the large portion. When it arrived, I couldn't figure out how to get the small portion out to use the larger chute. None of the YouTube videos show that and I even wrote to Cuisinart to ask about it and I've still never received a reply. (I'm not too impressed with their customer service). I kept playing around with it and finally realized that there is a place on the back of the large chute that you press in and voila! it comes out!! (The small chute is still permanently attached inside but the large piece is removable. I'm sure that's a safety feature). There is actually wording, in very faint print on the back of that large chute, that says "press here". Who knew!! I wish they would have put that in the instruction manual. My only other concern is how thin the plastic part is on the "press here" part of the chute. It seems like it could easily break if you aren't careful with it.But overall, I'm very pleased and plan to hand wash it and be a bit gentle with it since it is doing a great job for what I purchased it for.One more thing - I almost purchased the Cuisinart container to store the blades and stem attachment in but I found that putting them in a Rubbermaid container with a snap on lid and storing it in my cabinet worked just fine and cost me very little.

My 3rd and it is great!

I have had a Cuisinart since 1977- they seem to last a good 20+ years for me. My latest had just died and I cannot live without one. Ordered this Pro Custom 11 cup and it is just like my older model. In fact the blades are the same, and this one came with 2 sizes of slicers. Yeah! The only thing is the new bowl is a little different. It is a pain, "as others say" that the pusher doesn't dismantle for cleaning. I had ordered a smaller 7 cup from a store but it was too small and too light and it is really only a 2 cup (of flour) but the 7 is for cups of cut veggies. if you are making bread or cakes & cookies you need a larger capacity, like this. It really is like 4-5cups of flour. LOVE MY NEW CUISINART - I had not seen an 11 cup elsewhere, I am so glad QVC had this!

I bought the pro custom food processor because of its excellent rating in Consumer Reports. I like that it has a separate top for only chopping and puréed foods, which gives it a neater appearance on my counter. It takes more effort than my old Kitchenaid, however, to click the different parts into place, such as the grater and slicer attachments. For me, it was a learning curve that took a lot of time to figure out how it worked. That said, it is powerful food processor and performs well. I am a vegan, and depend on it for making hummus and other purées. In retrospect, I might have purchased one more user friendly. After 15+ years of ownership my old 11-cup Cuisinart processor bowl’s safety interlock failed. The part was still available but while searching for the part I decided that due to the fact that I had purchased the processor used I really didn’t know what the future held for the rest of the unit. It could have easily been 25-30 years old. I purchased a new complete processor and remarkably, there was little difference in the new and old. That lack of change says much for the level of excellence of the original model and the lack of a need to correct deficiencies or update a very functional machine. Since the base and accessories are the same I now possess a nearly complete parts warehouse if needed after another 15+ years of trouble-free food prep. This is the contemporary version of the original Cuisinart food processor. It's fairly heavy, yes, which means that you're getting a quality, powerful motor that is strong enough to process food ingredients with ease and gusto. No unnecessary bells and whistles; just a simple and easy to use kitchen tool. I use my processor to make pesto, hummus and other dips, falafel mix and myriad other prep tasks. The 11-cup capacity is more than ample for most jobs. No home kitchen is complete without this processor sitting on its counter.

I miss my old Cuisinart food processor - which I had to give up because parts weren't available to replace because all had been changed to BPA free. Couldn't my old style just be made BPA free? It easily and quickly snapped together, ran instantly without issues. This new model is so aggravating and tricky to get all the pieces together quickly, making me feel like it would be faster to just hand chop and grate everything instead of trying to connect all the parts. No instructions are even in the manual - you have to watch a YouTube video. If you need a quick reference, good luck. Often, when I think I have pieces together, the machine won't start because of some flooky little glitch in how the parts did or did not get together precisely. No instructions are even in the manual - you have to watch a YouTube video. If you need a quick reference, good luck. Often, when I think I have pieces together, the machine won't start because of some flooky little glitch in how the parts did or did not get together precisely. Such a waste of time - not only aggravating, but frustrating. All the parts are rather bulky - not sure why it needs to have two lids to store. I think it's been over-designed, perhaps too many designers and they couldn't agree on which parts to create, so used everyone's ideas. It's heavy, so if you have to keep it on a shelf, you need to be strong enough to support the weight as you slide it off the shelf. The S/Curved blade is about the only original-design attachment. I bought this model because it was the highest CR-rated model we could afford, and because it had a good rating for making puree. Yes, indeed, it's great at pureeing, such as making hummus. But, I had to resort back to my little 4-cup model to chop onions because my first attempt came out onion puree. Knowing what I know, I'd think twice about buying this model again - but being without being able to get the part to mine, we finally bit the bullet and bought a new one. At least it is high powered, which is MUCH better than the first one we bought to try to replace our old one - another Cuisinart, with many of the same issues of over-designed parts, which we returned because of the massive numbers of parts to assemble and store and tricky to use, too. Was hoping this one would be better. Finally giving up and hoping that someday Cuisinart will get the idea that simplicity is superior.

Needed to replace our 25 year old Cuisinart food processor. This looked like best option. Prior model performed beautifully and was very simple to use and clean. This model was designed by engineers who never set foot in a kitchen.Issues:1, came with no actual instructions for use. And there are none on line and no videos at Cuisinart, which phone agent had to acknowledge when she could not locate any.2. Various discs have to be attached manually to a universal stem: but as above, no info on how to do it. And just adds yet more steps to set up and clean up3. Good luck figuring out how various tubs and tops connect and lock with no instructions. Again, way too complicated. We returned it.
