D'Addario NYXL0946 Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings - Super Light Top/Regular Bottom - 9-46

Initial experience of these NYXL was with my Strat after years of using Fender Bullets. Wow! Massive improvement in tone and feel / playability with the 10-46 set on that guitar. These 9-46 I bought to try on my Tele. Been using Hybrid Slinky on it for a long time. Initial reaction to the NYXL on the Tele is the change in tone is not as dramatic as with the change from Bullets on the Strat but the feel and playability is way better. I will try NYXL on the Tele again.

You don’t have to ship it in such a large bag, like bruh, tiny ass little strings and it comes in a bag that’s so big you can fit a plane in it, thing could almost not fit In my mail box, but apart from that, me got strings, me happy, me play guitar, me play many pentatonic scales now, wee wee woo woo, that’s the sound of my Tele. Awesome to say the least

Put my first set of these strings on yesterday tune 2 pitch stretch out retune after the third time of stretching and returning a total time of of 15 to 20 minutes cutting off old strings wiping off fretboard & restring 20 minutes I was ready to go. I sit down and play and and didn't let up for 3 hours only had to tune one hi e-string a tad. Pick up my guitar the next morning and was still in tune. So tuning stability the best I've ever used bar none I mean I've never played a set strings that tune so fast and stay in tune for so long and I played them very hard ! Now on to playability and sound you'll have to experience that for yourself I am more than satisfied the tone is astonishing to say the least best playing set of strings I have ever strung up. Fat bottom with a slinky top

These are really interesting. I've played EB Regular Slinky 11's for years and decided to try these for my Gretsch 5420T. I play lead in a pop-punk band and these exceeded my expectations. Good fat chunky tone on the lower strings for power chords, and bright, easily bendable G thru high E. Good response thru my Bigsby tremolo as well.

Got these Strings from Sam Ash a year ago. I am not a experienced player but I do all of my own setups and I know a good tone when I hear it. These Strings were fantastic day one but didn't hold a a tune very well for about a week. This is usually the case with most strings. After they settled in the tone was great for about 4 months then they start to lose that bright new sound. I play a lot of styles from blues to rock. No metal so not sure how they sound with that.My intonation was perfect and I still have these Strings. I rarely change my strings unless they break or rust and these haven't broken or rusted. Like 'em lots

Over the years have used strings by Dean Markley, Ernie Ball, & GHS Boomers. Tried a set of these a year or so ago and use them now almost exclusively. This set went on my Telecaster. I use other gauge sets on various instruments. NYXLs are just superior to anything else I've played. The tone and feel are perfect. If the budget is tight I'll opt for DRs reluctantly- but NYXLs are "my string".

ProAudioStar Overcharges Sales Tax, Refuses to Refund the Difference

In reviewing my order history, I found that ProAudioStar has overcharged me sales tax on all my purchases this year. My county sales tax is 6.75%, but on two of my purchases PAS charged 9.75% sales tax, a full 3 percent more. In between those purchases, PAS charged 8% sales tax on an order, still 1.25% higher than what I should be paying. The three orders this year totaled about $1,000, so the tax difference is rather significant. When I pointed out the error to ProAudioStar, I was told by JoeW that "Unfortunately, Im unable to provide any refunds for tax collected at this time.". This was even after I provided a link to the Avalara web site https://www.avalara.com/taxrates/en/state-rates/ohio.html, demonstrating that I was correct about my tax rate. Review of D'Addario NYXL0946 9-46 Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings

I have been a Daddario XL player for over 30 years. I was given a set of these NYXL strings at a guitar show, as a “free restring” offer, and, when I saw the price, I badly wanted to hate them. They are definitely better though, they somehow feel better and they do last longer. I generally restring once a month anyway, if we are gigging once a week, but I deliberately didn’t with the NYXLs, just to see how they performed. They have been on for over 4 months now, and apart from cleaning after ever gig with a bit of fast fret, they have put up with whammy bar abuse, heavy bends, and feel & sound as good as when they were put on. I absolutely love them, and will be using them on all my guitars from now on. They just lose a star because they are double the price of the XLs

Surprisingly good strings.

My Telecasters usually use Fender 250s, my Strats DR Blues, my Les Pauls and Heritage guitars usually use Curt Mangan or Gibson Vintage 10s.I have been wanting to try the NYXL strings and was quite surprised that they have greater output at the same gauge compared to other nickel-wound strings, seem to stretch farther than most strings I've used, and seems to hold their tension better. I've had a set of NYXL on a Warrior and Epi Muse and have been generally pleased with the strings.
