I tried these strings because the one's I had used previously felt like I was play a cheese grater. These coated strings were an improvement -- but were a bit too slick for me. My hands would slide past the chords I was attempting to play -- and it felt a bit like I was playing rubber bands. If I had a friend who did not mind the slickness, I would recommend this with that warning.They sounded pretty good though. . .

All i can say is if they are like they are suppose to be, They are excellent strings. The only issue I have had with these other than I got them cheaper from somewhere and was likely defected in the first place, was that the high E came unwrapped from the ball before I got it tuned.

Killer!Prior to trying these, I'd been using the D'addario prosteels which are stainless steel. They are bright, literally last forever, but they have a rough feel which grabs, especially when new. Supposedly they wear out frets faster, though I haven't noticed that.Had these on for about a month- they sound great, bright, very similar to the stainless steels. However, the coating makes them smooth, so they feel great, fingers glide. So far i haven't noticed any of the coating wearing off, even with heavy down picking, and still sound bright!

I play multiple times a week between home enjoyment, rehearsals, gigs, and studio sessions. These strings are sturdy. I have easily gotten 4x plus the use out of these strings compared to the standard nickel wound. Adds the right amount of brightness and clarity to every guitar.
I bought them for my semi hollow and I finally found the warmth I was looking for, especially for my neck pickup, with a very smooth attack and the top end with just the right amount of brightness and clarity without being harsh. Absolutely amazing.
I have played pretty much every string you can think of since I started playing guitar. New strings always sound better but it never seems to last very long. Except these. They cost a little more but they feel and sound like new strings for much longer. I won't go back to the others.
I have a been playing the guitar for decades and have always played flat-wound strings. I have never used aset with a naked G-string. I specifically requested a wrapped G-string when I had Guitar Center do the set-up. When I got the guitar back it had a naked G-string. It has had a negative impact on my futurerelationship with Guitar Center. Incidentally, I have been using D-Addario Chromes for a long time and likethem.
As title suggests, always a quick delivery. I had mentioned another coated string that I had used for a long time but found that they sometimes felt tighter than standard strings. Kenny’s suggested the D’Addario coated strings. I could see that they had a narrower diameter, just a tiny bit, but very noticeable when playing and I like them. Thanks for the recommendation.
I prefer the coated strings from a brand that rhymes with ring-toy. But... these aren't at all bad and they may be your preferred string if your preference is for smooth and slippery strings that reduce noise. They're very good quality and they have not even started to go dead.
