D-Link DAP-1530 AC750 Mesh Wi-Fi Range Extender

Purchased this product in the hope of extending the WiFi in my house but after installing it(which was very easy l have to say) l found that the signal was not very strong even though it didnt need to travel very far and also that the signal kept dropping out for no apparent reason. I was not very happy with the performance of this product so l returned to the store and they very kindly replaced it with a different extender that worked through the mains power sockets. The new extender works a treat and l am more than happy with it.

A game changer for me

Extremely happy! This gadget has made it possible to do meetings and watch online content where I could not before. Suddenly I have 30-50 Mbps download speeds - awesome! Download the installation app on your phone and follow the steps - to be fair it took me three goes, but the first two times my phone asked if I wanted to connect to the “new” network before the app had set it up (don’t do this). Also, it helps to set it up near your router and then move the unit later to where you want it (which needs to be a place that has at least some wifi signal, otherwise there is nothing for it to amplify). A lot of complex operations are going on behind the simple setup interface, so be patient and wait for it all to play out (it did for me). Then, enjoy!

Awesome Price - Very nice wifi extender

Good to see Bunnings stock such products. Initially I was sceptical about the product but to my surprise the setup was easy and the performance was great. It can be configured in many ways and setup is straight forward.Since I have many IOT devices and wireless cameras, I configured it as second access point using the 5G back end connecting back to my wireless router. With this configuration I am able to group my IOT devices to specific access points and acheive higher througput. One can even daisy chain with this device.

Excellent WiFi extender

If you follow the instructions you cant go wrong. This works like a boss!!! I had such a bad signal toward the back of my house and not its not an issue with this. I saw allot of bad reviews and have to wonder if the issues are from not following the instructions because it works fabulously!! Take your time and do what they say and I think youll be happy.

Good coverage, not stable.

We needed to extend our range which it did found it has some issues. 1. Not all devices would register with it. so doesn't really identify devices on different radio bands very well. Drops out quite frequently. Doesn't 'switch' between the router and the extender easily so we had to turn the wifi on and off to connect to the bettter signal when moving around.

It sucked

As person that’s up to date with technology it’s Not easy to use will probably require a technician for setup, QR code is useless and won’t get you anywhere, once set up correctly it will probably still suck.

Modem expander

Canceled our existing modem power to nil. I hope I have got it all wrong, but it is a complete fail as far as we can work out.

Very happy with this product, would highly recommended it if you need a boost with your wi fi..especially with a 2 story house for the upstairs internet. 😀.

This was awful to set up

This "extender" was an absolute pain to set up. I pride myself in being extremely tech savvy, but this stupid extender took many hours to set up to the point where i just gave up after trying for well over 4 hours. Maybe it is just my slightly unique network set up but but this would not play nicely with it.

Very poor quality do not buy.

I realized these are reconditioned but I expected them to work. One fell apart while plugging it in and was a hazard to anyone trying to use it. There was a good possibility that someone could receive an electrical shock. The other unit would not program nor connect to the router even after repeated attempts. Therefore I do not recommend anyone purchasing them.
