I cannot get the DAP-1720 Wifi extender to connect to my existing D-Link router. I have tried two devices. I returned to first one to the store because I thought it was faulty. I was given a replacement extender to try, but it also failed to connect to my router. I am very disappointed in this D-Link product.

Took a few goes to set up even though it says just to press button on your modem then press in the extender. Took about 5 goes doing this before it connected. But after that all has been good. Does the job. Good product.

Simple plug and play. Set up was easy and it is performing very well to extend my Wi-Fi range outside my home.
It took me only about 5 minutes to set up the D-Link Extender and it works perfectly. Very happy with the product. It has solved one of my internet black spots. Im about to buy another to solve another internet black spot.
Wife used to wave her tablet in the air after constant disconnections. Lighning fast now. tried about 3 power points and only got 2 green lights. The one behind the TV shows 3 green lights and is out of the way. NBN modem is installed in the garage and house is brick. Very pleased.

So far I havent noticed a difference with my internet connection. I got the device to help boost my connection as I was having a lot of trouble with my connection when trying to use Netflix. I am still having the same problem with Netflix buffering all the time. I am looking at returning this device.
The extender is plugged in about 6 metres from the Telstra smart modem/router. The speed check taken on my iPhone next to the extender from the Telstra unit registers around 40 mps. However when connected to the extender I just get around 30 mps. Not good.
The d link is working well giving me better wifi at the other end of my house. Goody Guys were great to deal with and were happy to negotiate the best deal.
