I bought this to replace the original model which lasted 9 years. The kettle has been modernised from the old design and now has a square shaped lid ,knob and spout. It boils well and is fairly quietly. Obviously it isn't cheap but I'm hoping it will last as well as the previous model. I think it looks stylish in black in a grey kitchen with black accessories.

A good sturdy handle that is positioned well, so that when the water is being poured the steam isn’t burning your hand.Cons: No improvements in my opinion is needed for this kettle, but a really good addition to it would be a temperature gauge. For those who drink green tea like myself, it spoils if the water is too hot. 80°C is what it really need to be at, so a dial showing the temperature would be a great add on to this kettle.

An elegant looking kettle - matte finish and easy to wipe down. The removable lid fits perfectly - no messing about. It also fits well on the base and is of sturdy design.It matches my DeLonghi Toaster. Elegant and very efficient.Just need the coffee machine now.

Every detail is well made. My favourite characteristic is the external coating of the kettle. Most kettles have a shiny outer coating and it is very difficult to remove remove fingerprints from the side. Lovely kettle that matches well with my tap and sink. Love the matt colour. Lid is easy to remove for filling. Handle nice to hold and doesn't slip out of hand. The main reason for purchase was I didn't want a plastic kettle and this fits my requirement. All metal kettles are a bit noisy but I don't think it is excessive. I would recommend this kettle to anyone who doesn't want a plastic one.

Really impressed with the construction and the spout is slightly wider at the tip versus my previous kettle which I like. The handle feels a bit more robust also.The lid is easy to remove and another plus versus my previous kettle is that the limescale filter at the spout is easier to remove on this model and so I already feel more inclined to clean it regularly. At the time I was sceptical about paying so much for a kettle but I loved the design and the colour so splashed out and have never regretted it. The stainless steel is high quality and mine has not discoloured or corroded at all despite 3 years use - we live in a hard water area where kettles generally don't survive more than 2 years so this is pretty impressive. The lid still clicks in place satisfyingly. The knob on the lid stays cool even when it's just boiled which is useful for top ups.

After looking at various other makes of kettles and reading the reviews, I finally decided to purchase this De longhi kettle, due to a recommendation from a friend who had the same make and was very pleased with it. The style is lovely and the metal helps keep the water hot, I've normally used a plastic kettle that keeps needing to be boiled more often. The spout pours the water smoothly without any drips. It's not too heavy to lift when full and it makes no more noise when being boiled than other kettles I've had. Though pricey and way more money than I'd usually spend on a kettle Overall I'm really pleased with it and would definitely recommend.
Worth paying a little extra for this well designed kettle. It pours beautifully! Boils quickly although a little noisy. The matte and chrome finish is stylish. Blends in well with my kitchen decor and other appliances.
