The body of the Choc Resto Induction series is made of 5 mm thick aluminum. The wall thickness ensures a very high stability and resistance to deformation. With aluminum as the heat conductor, the pans heat up very quickly and evenly. The 5-layer non-stick coating of the Choc Resto Induction pans is, typical of de Buyer, reinforced and can be described as extremely robust. To extend the life of the pans, you should, as with all non-stick coatings, do without metallic or sharp-edged turner and the pans do not empty or overheat. The limit is here at a remarkable 250 degrees Celsius. The riveted handle made of steel strip heats up only near the edges of the pan, but not in the area of the handle. With the magnetic steel plate on the bottom, the pans also work well on induction fields. Through the perforation, the heat is optimally transferred to the pan in all other heat sources.

Such a great little pan! Nothing sticks and the heat is spread evenly. It takes a bit longer to heat up, but holds heat beautiful. This pan is perfect for frying eggs, tiny omelets, a single burger, etc.

Works great, very thick metal, retains heat wonderfully. Inside coating visibly of the greatest quality. I did a lot of sauteeing and cooking in it already. I'm an amateur cook and I also use De Buyer's wonderful steel pans. I have an induction top and wanted to try their non stick pans also, I don't regret it. You never have too many cooking utensils. :+)

A pan for cooking. Heats and holds heat on induction real well, takes a little longer to get up to speed on radiant, on gas its as expected, real responsive. Heat travels out from center to side walls as good or better than any other pan I have used, and I use them all from pricey hestal & mauviers and every other bullet proof "clad" fry pans out there. My go to is always carbon/blued steel but sometimes you want high heat non stick with no skill needed. This pan does this. Burner size is important, don't under size the burner or burner surface area. Handle angle is great for manipulating contents. Its a great thick non stick coating, lets face it all non stick surfaces scratch. Buy some teflon or wooden tools (tongs too) and use paper towels between pans when ... MoreA pan for cooking. So far the bottom hasn't dimpled or curved, which is a problem with even the most expensive pans on radiant cooktops. You need a super flat and thick base on induction and radiant or it wont transfer heat, and you risk deforming the base from heat differential between layers. The Choc pan does this well. Hand wash it, no matter what, never dunk in water when hot. The performance you get is worth the extra care.

Great pan! Very even with heat distribution
I purchased this "all purpose" pan for eggs and crepes. Parfait! (except the handle gets hot after making 2 dozen crepes. Tant pis...)
Being “made for induction” makes a difference in the way it heats compared to my MineralB’s. The non-stick coating actually seems thicker than that on other non-stick skillets so expecting it to last for quite some time. It’s wonderfully non-stick … better than expected. So far, nothing has stuck. Cleanup is very simple. Thank you for a skillet that’s fun to use.
I’ve been using De Buyer's carbon and stainless steel pans for a while and you can’t fault their build quality. I purchased the Choc Resto for those jobs where the carbon steels are too much hassle like frying veggies etc.Easy to use and no warping. Only used on an electric cooker so far but soon will be using it on induction. Yes, it’s more expensive than other non-stick pans but I was happy to pay for a premium product like this.
