The connection ports are on the monitor are in awkward places. Virtually everything is behind the monitor. The ports are upside down and some are between the monitor and the neck of the stand there’s no easy way to see these unless you pull the monitor away and tip it to see the needed port(s) each time you want to add a new device. This is inconvenient I dread doing this because it’s a big and heavy monitor and it isn’t like it can be easily grabbed without accidentally touching the screen and risking potentially damaging it. I have tried leaving it where it is and using a small mirror to view the ports from where I am but this ia also different to do. Honestly it’s almost as if Dell doesn’t really want the ports to be used. Someone did not take this into ... MoreThe connection ports are on the monitor are in awkward places. I love this screen! I did increase the blue saturation or hue (cant remember which) and increased the contrast a bit so I'm not one of those people who calibrate their screen to look like real life. Real life is boring which is why I game with vibrant screens and this screen fits it for me! The colors don't look distorted or anything like some cheap monitors but between the deep Blacks and vibrant colors this monitor looks great!I followed the recommendations of reviews on Youtube to leave it on very fast instead of extreme and I can't recognize any ghosting. The picture looks very crisp like it's popping off the screen to me. I love the high refresh rate. Makes for super smooth gaming. The freesync does work well with my rtx4090 gsync. Some people say below 60 fps will cause flickering or tearing but I can dip a little below that when my oc is off with maxed out native cyberpunk with psycho ray tracing at wqhd and be in the 50s with no tearing, flickering, or stuttering.I thought about upgrading to the Alienware wqhd but I have one of the best OLED 4k large screen TVs and I think any good high res high refresh screen with low to no backlight bleed and vibrant colors can get the job done which is what this screen does for a lot cheaper! I usually pick this screen over my 4k for gaming so...I also use this screen for work. I previously had 3 FHD minitors and this has comfortably replaced them all. I thought I would just drop 2 but the wider screen and better resolutions allows me to easily fit everything on the screen. I have external audio and video peripheral hardware for video conferencing plugged into the screen usb ports which works great only running a single usb cable to my computer.

This monitor is the best purchase I have made in the last couple of years. It's not perfect, but for the price, I cannot believe how much I got from it.I work as a developer, and with the 2009 1080p 23" monitor I had for my home setup, I was in dire need of a monitor upgrade. I have been running this as my main monitor for a month now, and I absolutely could not go back to less screen space.I am using a laptop with a thunderbolt adapter that connects USB devices, internet, and HDMI. I had read in other reviews that the provided HDMI cable did not allow to reach full resolution, but in my case it's been able to run the full 1440p@100Hz for the past month, as advertised. I did run the display calibration tool, and it helped a lot. This change monitor changed the ... MoreThis monitor is the best purchase I have made in the last couple of years. All the daily frustration of having to spread my windows over multiple desktops is now gone. My work station can now fully display all the visual information that I need to offload all the unnecessary cognitive charge. Feels good :)Pros:- Competitive price, even at full price.- Refresh rate is a nice small bump from 60Hz.- Decent pixel density for text. Still not as good as a my laptoop screen, but that pixel density is just unattainable for an actual monitor.- Display brightness is more than enough for me. I always work in a pretty bright room, and I still usually put the brightness at 60-70% during the day, and around 35-40% at night.- Curvature is necessary at this screen size, and the gentle curve of this one is fine for its size.- Color gamut is surprisingly good for the price. Colors are not quite as vibrant as the laptop display, but it's not a far cry, especially if you up the brightness.Cons:- Brightness: there are no customizable brightness presets, or any way to control it from the computer. It all needs to be adjusted manually through the physical interface, for which the navigation is done through a joystick. It feel decently sturdy for a small piece of plastic, but it's still a small piece of plastic, and requires me to manipulate my fragile screen on a daily basis. So not great.- Stand quality: while the stand feels pretty good, the monitor tends to be quite wobbly (at least at its highest position, which is where I always have it). Unless your desk is a mahogany colossus, even the small vibration from typing will make the monitor shimmy.Neutral:- Connectivity: it takes on average 8 seconds for the image to display from the moment I connect my computer. The picture in picture works well, and switching between devices is pretty seamless.- Screen space: In some situations, I wish I had a little more vertical screen space. If I had an unlimited budget, I wouldn't be opposed to trying out a 38" WQHD+ or 40" WUHD, but honestly these sizes might come with downsides as well, as the vertical height of the monitor is bordering on too for comfort. I fear that a taller screen would make looking at the bottom somewhat unpleasant.Overall, the screen size is spot on for my productivity needs as a developer. Would warmly recommend.

This is a decent monitor. Not extraordinary, but good value for money panel. Overall, I am happy so far with the quality. But be warned, the default calibration and settings are stupendously bad; almost as if an effort went into specially making those the worst. It took me nearly 3 days to play with brightness, calibration, colors, contrast, refresh rates, and other settings to get it finally to the point where I wanted it to be. Yes, I understand that some of those settings depends on personal perspective about usage, but still, the baseline could have been much better by Dell.Use rtings calibration, and some really good recommendations from reddit users to have this monitor set up to its potential. Also, slight tweaks from GPU settings about picture quality worked perfectly for me.There were complaints about abysmal VRR and black smearing in online reviews. With latest firmware and tweaks mentioned afore, I noticed almost none of that. I tested it with a game with lots of dark areas without any issues. nVidia G-sync is officially not supported but tested and worked fine in my case.Overall, if you have patience to tweak and setup the monitor, its good one at discounted rates. If you like to avoid too much deeper digging into custom settings, maybe look elsewhere.
After reading tons of reviews and comparing price for features, this monitor was one of my top choices. Once I saw a great deal on it, I made the leap. I am super happy I did! The extra screen space over my 27 in monitor has made production easier. That was my goal, but what I didn't expect was the improvement in media consumption. The 21:9 aspect ratio is amazing while watching movies as a large majority of them take up the whole screen and the lack of black bars makes the experience more enjoyable. It has also increased my immersion in games, which I was hopeful for, but dubious of.Colors are awesome (darks could be better, but for the price it's still great.)Brightness is more than enough for use indoors.Response times has been much better, switching from my ... MoreAfter reading tons of reviews and comparing price for features, this monitor was one of my top choices. I will say that I had to use extra spacers because the depth of the mount recess prevented me from attaching it without adding a few millimeters of additional spacing.I like the slight curve, I wasn't sure if I would since this is my first curved monitor.
Have been using my 34" Curved Dell Gaming Monitor for over 1 week now, and I love it! Haven't had any problems. Easy setup. After toggling through different display profiles on my computer (Mac Studio), the picture looks great. Sharp vivid colors. Haven't fully tested the high frame rate, as my computer only allows 60hz. I mostly use this display for graphic design work, but the games I've played on it look and feel smooth. Text gets a little fuzzy at small sizes but zooming in a notch helped a lot. TONS of desktop space allows me to multitask like never before. The curve is nice and subtle, allowing for an immersive and tidy workspace. Cons: It's a bit heavy and I wish it had more than 2 USB hookups (since my Mac Studio only has 2 USB hookups).
I was a bit skeptical getting a monitor with a VA panel. I've seen so many instances of poor viewing angles, poor color representation and black smear. I'm quite pleased to say the S3422DWG really is a wonderfully performing monitor and it deserves all the hype around it. The viewing angles are excellent, as you would be hard pressed in actual use while in front of the monitor to notice any color fade. Speaking of colors, they are also great. I'm coming from an IPS Predator which had great colors and I have a hard time telling a difference (after a few menu adjustments). And as for black smear, out of the box it is present, though not nearly as bad as some other panels. Set the response time in the monitor menu to Super Fast and it is almost a non-issue. I've been searching for a good monitor for a while and had my hoped on a curved one, if possible. Dell knocked it out of the park once again. The monitor is stable with just enough adjustment to fit the desk. It's beautifully bright but also easy to adjust. The joystick and shortcut buttons you can configure on the back take care of everything you might need in terms of adjustment. It's actually deceptively easy - you may run the risk of overthinking things. What made my day upon delivery was the fact that Dell have really taken into consideration the purchaser's experience. What I mean by that is that you can assemble everything you need with the monitor still safe in the box. What I mean by that is that you can assemble everything you need with the monitor still safe in the box. It' takes a little bit of maneuvering and ideally a second person to assist when it comes to putting the monitor on the desk, but realistically, it's all very simple. What is of note is that the monitor is CHONKY. It weighs a decent amount so be aware of that when you go to pick it up. However, it has a wide stand which means that the monitor is super stable even on a wobbly desk like mine. All in all after a good month or more of using it, I have nothing bad to say about this monitor. It's a well thought-out design and comes with both reliable hardware and software.Important note: You can access the user manual for it online! Just search it up.
I purchased three S3422DWGs as an upgrade from aging S2817Qs. These lack the 4K resolution of the S2817Qs but the AMD RX 6700 XT GPU in my XPS 8950 allows for a 5k2k virtualresolution on all 3 monitors when needed. The S3422DWG serves my needs for work, school, casual gaming and everything in between. Windows 11 natively recognizes the HDR feature and has a toggle switch to turn it on and off. HDR increases the brightness to 518 nits showing vivid details in gaming. The monitors are built to last and the monitor stands a more sturdy than than what I've seen on other 34 inch monitors. The only downside is that these do not have internal speakers like the S2817Qs but the picture quality and VESA mount ability (the 28s lacked this) more than make up for it.
Keep in mind that the HDR support is only 10 bit, not 12, which is what I would recommend for professional photographers or other creative artists. If you're a gamer, and or you dabble in the occasional multimedia creation, it's more than good enough. The monitor has only very slight backlight bleed (definitely less than what I was expecting), and even though there seem to be reviewers who have had issues with black smearing and ghosting in games, I personally haven't observed anything detrimental. One caveat, I seem to have trouble getting color profiles and HDR calibration to work correctly. The default "Smart HDR" colors don't actually require calibration in my opinion, but if you're a purist it is something to keep in mind. I don't rule out that the issues could very well be just my lack of expertise in this area, so I'm not going to subtract any points from the review because of it.All in all, this monitor is a great choice and it's unlikely you'll be disappointed, especially when you can get it on sale. If you are willing to settle for a lower refresh rate or slightly smaller monitor size however, then there are cheaper options available from other manufacturers you should look into before deciding.
