One day, I hope to have the best of both worlds. A retina display with excellent color and a high refresh rate that works well with commodity hardware. Until then, this is my favorite monitor on the market.

I purchased 2 Dell U3224KB monitors and use with my amateur photography. The monitors are xcellent. The only reason that I gave the purchase review 4 stars and not 5 is that I had a lot of difficulty getting the monitors to work at 6k. The problem turned out to be a cable issue. My graphics card has 4 MDP ports. Dell supplied an MDP to MDP cable with each monitor but the length of each cable was only 1 meter. I could not connect the second Dell monitor with the supplied cable as it was far too short. I tried various cable options to get the screens to operate together and had a lot of trouble until I eventually found a longer MDP to MDP cable which was quite difficult to find and very time consuming. Dell should supply longer cables or warn purchasers about using ... MoreI purchased 2 Dell U3224KB monitors and use with my amateur photography. The monitors are xcellent. The monitor is very good. Sharp text, 10 bit colour once set up in the NVidia control panel and the colours appear accurate to me. I am using the native or Display P3 colour space. My only real dissapointment is that the Brightness control is an overall brightness setting and not specific to the colour space being used. In other words when working in Photoshop (Display P3) I like to have a brightness setting of 18% but for general work I like to have a setting of 50%. When using Photoshop even though the monitor selects Display P3 I have to reset the brightness each time. However, overall I am very happy. I am using the HDMI input .

I have only owned the Monitor for less than a week, but my first impressions are that the monitor is exceptional. The clarity and ease of setup are impressive. I am not a gamer but for everything else it is the best monitor that I have owned, and I have owned and used a lot of different Monitors. The sharpness of the characters dramatically reduces eye strain. The colors are vivid and accurate. The camera is excellent and works perfectly with windows hello. The speaker a good for built in monitor speaker but not as good a external ones. Overall, this monitor exceeds my expectations and is worth the high price.
I have had this monitor for around 8 months now and up until recently it was fantastic. I am using it with an M2 mac studio, and it is able to drive the monitor natively at 6K resolution, which is excellent for video editing, software development, and photo editing. The webcam, mic, and speakers are perfectly adequate for a monitor and I love the pop down USB ports on the front. However… about 3 weeks ago the backlight started failing and strobing. I have been in contact with Dell support and it has been an absolute nightmare. They initially sent the wrong monitor as a replacement (an Alienware), told me I can use it until they sorted it out, then demanded I send it back, then sent a cracked replacement, and now I am in a “this has been escalated†holding ... MoreI have had this monitor for around 8 months now and up until recently it was fantastic. They initially sent the wrong monitor as a replacement (an Alienware), told me I can use it until they sorted it out, then demanded I send it back, then sent a cracked replacement, and now I am in a “this has been escalated†holding pattern. All the while I am without a rather expensive monitor. The Dell website advertises that they will ship a replacement out next business day if a replacement is deemed necessary.Due to all of these issues with Dell support, I cannot recommend this monitor. If you do purchase one, I highly suggest having a spare monitor around in case you run into any issues, as it could be weeks before you receive a working replacement.
My monitor was delivered damaged in the bottom left corner of the screen. Based on reviews on Amazon, this damage seems to be common and likely due to a defect in the product's packaging design (the one area where they didn't reinforce with protective materials). Since this item drop ships from Dell to you directly (meaning it doesn't get sent to Walmart first), Walmart really isn't at fault here. Until Dell fixes their packaging design, this is a risky buy in my opinion. Walmart offered me a refund or exchange, of course, but not before a trip to Fedex with this very heavy box and nearly 10 days of waiting for the damaged monitor to get back to Walmart before they would process the refund or exchange. Why buy online from Walmart with these backwards policies in place?
I got this monitor for my Macbook Pro 14 M3 Max. Coming from an iMac Pro 27 5K, this Dell monitor is really very good, although it's definitely not as good as the 27 5K display I was used to, especially black levels are not nearly as black as on the Apple display. But the screen estate is amazing, with a pixel density that matches Apple's 5K and 6K displays. I also work with a Dell 38 Widescreen monitor (U3818DW), and that one is super good for text-based work, but the 6K monitor is on a whole other level as far as detail and color goes.I love the built-in hub with 2.5Gbit ethernet - I have my TB drives hooked up to the hub as well, and having a single TB connection to the Macbook is very convenient. No 5 stars though, as at this price point I need to be picky: ... MoreI got this monitor for my Macbook Pro 14 M3 Max. Overall, happy with the purchase. The resolution is a good compromise between 4k and 8k, if you beed the pixel real estate and don’t want to drop $4k on an $8k monitorB&H did an amazing job, it arrived the next day before noon, using standard shipping. Crazy! It retails elsewhere for $2300, B&H had it on sale for $1800. I’m guessing this might have something to do with the model being known for pixel issues, but that’s speculation. It was in the retail box, brand new, did not appear to be refurbishedA few issues - non-dealbreaking “complaints” - I would buy it again if I had the opportunity, so don’t read too far into these- After a few days, a pixel went bad (“bright pixel issue”, a permanent white spot). Luckily it was very easy to replace via Dell.com. Took about 20 minutes with a rep through chat. 2 days later, a replacement arrived- As is described in the listing, the monitor has 3 options for video inputs- USB-C/Thubderbolt, Mini Displayport 2.1 and HDMI2.x. This was tricky for me as I hadn’t realized how short high resolution (40Gbps) USB-C cables were. I also didn’t realize how rare 8k and 16k capable male mDP - male mDP were. My only option for connectivity on my GPU was mDP, which made it tricky and a bit expensive to get the cables/adapters that were capable of the resolution I needed AND fit the form factor on the GPU and monitor. Probably not an issue for most people, who have USB-C video out on their computer- It took a bit of work getting the 6k resolution to work on Linux, though I think this had more to do with my GPU and the cable mess than the monitor. So, yes, it works with Linux. And is probably “plug and play” for most setups- I don’t intend to use the sound bar or camera. It would be nice if at least the camera was detachableAs far as the actual display and features- it looks really nice, 6k @ 60hz. Lots of space for the work I do. Happy with it
This is a great monitor for those waiting for 8k to become mainstream. I was using a Dell 4k monitor and exploring the possibility of going to 8k, but I just don't think the industry (hardware and software) is really up to 8k yet. I want to see more offerings and support for 8k before I plunge into it. However, this monitor has proven to be a good solution until that time comes.I am a photography enthusiast and use a high-end Eizo 4k 32" monitor for color-critical work. However, I wanted more resolution to review a photograph's details, and this monitor works great in that respect. I can now see details in the photograph that need correction, where I could not see them so well with a 4k monitor. If you are considering a jump from 4k to 6k, at first, you may not ... MoreThis is a great monitor for those waiting for 8k to become mainstream. I maintained the existing resolution of 4096 x 2160 (actually 4096 x 2306 on the Dell 6k) as I had on my 4k monitor because higher resolutions are difficult to use consistently with standard 20/20 vision. However, after a couple of days of use, my eyes adjusted to the new dpi, and this monitor rocks! It's not inexpensive to upgrade to, but I believe it's worth it for those who don't want any pixelation on their monitor.

And it works with my Windows and Mac machines simultaneously. I honestly should have bought this monitor sooner.
