But I like the fact that it will mesh with other Marantz and Denon equipment which for me opens up a lot of possibilities for an integrated audio future.Now it's setup it is easy to use from the phone or the remote. I've hardly touched the unit itself!Mine is connected to an old Rega III with a Goldring 1042 mm cartridge, a Marantz CD6004 connected with an optical cable - yes, the DAC is very good too!, and a pair of Kef 103.2 Speakers. I've got a medium size room but this amp has more than enough power to drive the speakers to very loud without any hint of stress.I think if you want to upgrade to the connected world and all the opportunities that brings, this unit will not disappoint if you're used to decent HiFi sound. It actually does a good job or rendering the quality Internet sound sources that are now available.You can of course spend an awful lot more, but for me this is a good entry into a whole new world of audio while not compromising on my old fashioned sources.

I went in to the Tunbridge Wells store with the aim of purchasing a whole new system with nothing but the idea of what I wanted... no clue how to achieve it. The entire team rallied and I was promptly offered professionally formed recommendations and options of which to choose from. I was made to feel informed and equipped without pressure to form one decision or another. Great amp with clean sound. Easy set up and control with HEOS app. I am using for pure 2 channel sound and the B speakers for 2 more atmos channels on my home theater amp. This is perfect because the B speakers don’t use the sub output. To be clear, I can use A+B on other sources such as my turntable, and this also activates the sub out. Has ground connection. Front panel cartridge option button depending on what you are using. I really love this amp. Thanks Denon.

Wow!!! I cannot give a better overall impression, Amazing to say the least!!!This really is the best piece of HiFi equipment I have treated myself to in many years! And I am sure it will bring many years of great pleasure and entertainment to me,my family and friends. Amazing sound engine, with a great aesthetic design to suit any furniture and surroundings you might have. And to really blast those tracks you might have sitting around in pure musical bliss 😊
I arranged a listening room session at the Weybridge branch and Luca had it all set up and will versed in both models. I compared against the recently reduced price Marantz PM7000N. I was primarily interested in the built in DAC with HEOS streaming so tested it with a high quality stream from Tidal. Both have a gorgeous sound with excellent timing and soundstage but the Denon had slightly higher power and a slight edge in resolution. Both are a clear step up from my Marantz M-CR510 and I'm delighted with my new Denon. Excellent service as always!
Fabulous. Purchased in July for only £700 and worth every penny. It is a massive upgrade over my Marantz MCR510 and really punches along with a glorious sound coupled with dexterity and a light touch where needed. I use NAS storage and hee is my only caveat. For large libraries, you are far better running them through something like HiFi Cast instead of the HEOS interface, but it does this with aplomb. Makes my Zensor 3s and Wharfedale SW150 sub sound sublime.
Bought a month or so ago... lovely sound, very clear and precise. I use wharfdale diamond 220. The App and unit itself are very easy to use. I probably would have given it 5 stars, but you can only do somethings via the App and not the unit itself, i.e. network & Internet Radio. Which at times can be frustrating. Saying that, i wouldn't swap it.

Classic living room, not optimized for hi-fi music listening. Nevertheless, the sound is really good. Presuming the source is good, quality CD or TIDAL or vinyl. Even TV. Audio streaming on this device opens complete new music libraries. You hear EVERYTHING, clear and loud. Sometimes you have not so good music quality input and it can be very disappointing. Not because this DENON is bad,but because it is so good. Bass and treble can be adjusted but I like direct sound most. So, sound quality comes first, as the prime expectation. In addition I liked the fact that this would drag me into the digital age with the ability to play Spotify through it and also internet radio. On top of that it’s possible to access iTunes on a computer and play that through the Denon. Particularly useful if you have many limited edition CD’s with rare bonus tracks saved to iTunes that would not be accessible on Spotify. It would be a pain to get the Cd’s out of the loft to play especially as they are on iTunes already. Set up was a breeze and it’s great to be able to switch between radio and Spotify using your mobile as the input.
