Good, sharp blades. Clean Shave. Worth to buy and use. Better than the Gillette Blades safety razor blades i get from the hardware store at the neighbourhood store.Satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent performance. Returning to safety razor after years using multi blades, I have no complaints. No cuts or nicks so far (touch wood) just an very smooth shave.

These are different from when I purchased them a few years ago. The print on the blade is more dull and the paper the blades are wrapped in have a different language printed on them. Nevertheless, blades still give a close and comfortable shave. Great value for what you pay.

Tired of paying for disposable razors and not really all that interested in adding more plastic to the oceans, I researched double edged razor shaving and made the leap. A high quality razor was an imperative. And good blades too (Derby - a beginner's blade). Lets run the numbers. These blades are $0.09 (9 cents apiece). I change the blade out every 4 shaves. Not that I have too but at 9 cents a blade - why not? At a hundred count I am looking at over a year's worth. The blades themselves are great. I am not comparing them to other double edge blades because I have no experience with other vendor's blades. I am comparing the blades and shaving experience against Double Trac, Triple Trac, four blades, five.I can't tell the difference.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I bought this razor so i could clean up my haircut when I get a line up. It's nice to have a straight razor with replaceable blades so you don't have to sharpen it frequently. I don't know if I would use this razor for shaving my face though. the razor isn't bad quality for the price but the handle does look really cheap. This is why i say buy one of the wooden ones. FYI you can use normal double edged razors on this but you have to break them in half. Just a quick tip as I did not know how to load the razors into this straight razor. You do not need to buy the derby single edge razors designed for straight razors.
DE shaving is so subjective so YMMV. My Context: my facial hair is not excessively course. I use a decent soap. Hot shower first. I look for milder blades (with a mild razor) bc of sensitive skin. I only need 2 pass generally. Having said that, for me these are great. They aren’t quite as good as Gillette Silver Blue (IMHO the best for sensitive/mild shaving) - a bit less sharp but less expensive too…..nonetheless these glide quite well and do a great job with no pulling (technique does matter too). If you have similar parameters as I do, I’m sure you will love these as well.
Good Price. Solid packaging. Came as advertised. More than that though, I am thoroughly impressed. Great shave with my Gillette Slim. I tried Derby Extras in the past and was unimpressed. I hesitated to try these based on that experience. These are different. I compare them to Personna Blues which are considered by many to be a solid performer but forgiving. These are similar (still forgiving) but feel sharper with less drag.
As others have said these are much better than the other Derby blades. I found them to be comfortable, smooth, and good for 2-3 shaves without issue (I really do not like any blade past 3 shaves, maybe I have a tough beard). I will not be buying again, however, as long as they continue to come in plastic tucks. The world is choking on plastic and there are lots of great blades that do not create this excess and unnecessary plastic waste. I hope they switch to cardboard because it is a great blade at a great value.
to get the best shave, I always thought sharper was better. I tried a lot of blades, finally getting to feather blades for ultimate sharpness. the sharper the blades got, the more problems I had with burn and nicks. Yes, some of this is curbed by excellent technique, but even then, I just wasnt getting the results I wanted. I tried the derby blades on a whim because they came in a package of other things. result, super comfortable shave, that was just as close as I was getting with the super sharp blades. Now, I say this like the derby is not sharp. it is. very much so. But it also is a lot smoother. much more gentle on the skin. I have learned over this process that I have sensitive skin. There are other smooth blades out there, but I highly recommend you give the derby a try. they are priced fairly, and perform well.
It's the most soft in skin even if a bit dull. An extra pass solves that. Not very long lasting though. 3 uses max. Great for beginners. After having tried many firms of blades, I can definitely propose them to newcomers in wet shaving but my taste has turned to different style of blades at this point. They are not so sharp, which means that they leave more hair behind, and that requires more passes and yet it might not be enough to reach the results of more aggressive blades. It's all a matter of technique and ambition of course. As everyone correctly says, your mileage might vary.
