I got this in the skin rescue kit. I waited awhile before trying this to make sure I knew if any of the products reacted to my skin. Well this one did. I applied it once and it started burning. The burning went away when I washed it off. Then I applied it a few days later with more intense burning. I tried to leave it on for while but it kept burning and made my rosacea flare up. I stopped using it and won't be using it anymore! It was also really sticky after applying it. I usually love dermilogica (especially the ultra calming line) but this didn't work at all.

My husband (who has eczema and sensitive dry skin) and I (sensitive and oily/combo skin) both love this and now have to have our own bottles. It's a refreshing mist that is nice to spray throughout the day when my skin is feeling dry/dehydrated from the A/C, and after I cleanse. Doesn't affect my skin's oiliness or sensitivity. Easy to carry around to refresh when driving/working etc.

I have been using Ultra calming Mist twice daily for many years. It my absolute go to for instant soothing on dry irritated reactive skin.I was dismayed when it was taken out of the range a few years ago but thankfully someone at Dermalogica HQ saw sense and reinstated it onto the range. However my recent purchased bottle took me by surprise unpleasantly so on first spray. It smells awful, very medicinal and antiseptic. The smell reminds me strongly of Germolene the antiseptic topical cream for burns, scrapes etc.I feel quite unwell associating that smell with Ultra calming Mist which always had a light fresh smell. It hasn't caused any problems with my skin but the smell does linger for a while after spraying. I finished my old large bottle of the Soothing Protection Spray and bought another at my local Ulta, only it appeared that the name and formula has changed to Ultra Calming Mist. Of course there were no testers, but I bought it anyway. I sprayed some on that night after cleansing my face, and immediately noticed that the scent I love is non existent, and the spray does absolutely nothing for my skin. No calming, no soothing, nothing. It's like I'm just spraying water on my face. I figured I would give it a chance and see how I like it. Well, it's been nearly a year and it still feels like I'm just spraying my face with expensive tap water. I wish I had immediately returned the product to the store and ordered directly from Dermalogica so I could see if the Ulta ... The UltraCalming Mist is the best hydrating mist I have ever tried for my sensitive skin. Works perfectly to also spray over makeup as well as anytime during the day. I absolutely love this. However, since Dermalogica discontinued this product and instead introduced the Redness Relief Essence, my skin has been out of balance. The Redness Relief Essence totally destroyed my face. Honestly, I have no idea what you thought when discontinuing this product, Dermalogica. Supposedly, the UltraCalming Mist should be now available again, but unfortunately, this is not the case for anyone living in Europe. It is not possible to order it from the US website, and NO ONE knows when it will be back in stock again in Europe and especially Sweden. I have had the worse customer ... It is not possible to order it from the US website, and NO ONE knows when it will be back in stock again in Europe and especially Sweden. I have had the worse customer service experience with Dermalogica, with slow or no answers, and no one can tell me when this will be available to purchase again. Since Dermalogica discontinued this product, whom I have been a truly loyal skincare fan of for years, I have started to look for other products within other skincare brands. For anyone feeling the same as me, I can truly recommend looking into PAULAS CHOICE. And for Dermalogica - I hope you will actually bring back the UltraCalming Mist to Sweden soon, and also start taking better care of your customers.
This is the best toner hands down ever!! I am 55 years old with sensitive but combination skin and then add in lovely menopausal also. I have used all the other toners in Dermalogica but the Ultra-calming mist works the best on my skin. It helps the Skin smoothing moisturizer absorb into my skin and it keeps my skin calm and beautiful and soft. I just love it! Please don't ever, ever discontinue this wonderful toner!! It is simply the best!
Love the Ultra calming mist! So refreshing to spray on after cleansing and before moisturizing. Helps to hydrate my skin and lock in the moisture! I look forward to using this mist throughout the day when my skin needs a little boost! You don’t think it makes a big difference till you don’t have it! Instantly calms my sensitive skin!
I'm 36 with dehydrated skin that was oily up until the last year and a half and now is normal/dry but acne prone and very sensitive. I wear sunscreen and hardly any makeup ever. I have been really dedicated in my skincare this past year. Dermalogica has been my go to for 10 years and this year I really branched as well figured out what really worked with my skin presently. I have bounced between the ultra calming mist and AgeSmart HydraMist for years. But I noticed at least for my dehydrated skin that when I use this face mist on freshly washed skin followed by an essence, my skin moisture retention is much better and my barrier isn't as tight near the end of the day. I tested a month without using this face mist and I could notice the difference. The Ultracalming ... I love the very faint herbal scent it has and the quick absorption. It's got soothing ingredients for stressed skin and it's now a staple in my skincare routine.
I have been using the Ultracalming mist with the Ultracalming cleanser and calm water gel. I have super sensitive skin and have struggled to find products that I can use that don’t sting, burn or cause breakouts and milia. This Ultracalming range has been fantastic I can use it with no adverse reactions. The mist is cool when applied which feels really good and as it’s sprayed on to my skin It means I don’t have to use cotton pads or extra wiping which is good news for my skin, it never burns and these three Ultracalming products together have left my skin feeling calm, hydrated and normal again after two years of hell. Would definitely recommend to anyone with sore, sensitive problematic skin.
