DeWalt DE7033-XJ Compact Mitre Saw Stand

Bought my first mitre saw on an offer and decided to buy this matching stand with what I had saved, can’t believe I’ve never used this kit before, Cutting laminate flooring has never been so easy.I’ve used FFX before and as always this arrived bang on time, in great condition, and the contents exactly as described, the stand, end stops / rests, brackets for the mitre saw and a selection of bolts depending on your model of saw,The stand itself is rock solid, locking legs, and the quick release / attaching of the saw a breeze, just wish I’d had one years ago. An essential part of your kit

This is a great bit of kit, I have two now, got the larger model too.It's just ideal to have your saw set at a high level, keeps you in a good posture position.easy to set up and two side extendable supports keeps your timbers in a safe position.You can take off the supports and slide them along the main rail for shorter lengths and the twist up ends can work as fixed end stops, for repetition cutting.Light and easy to fit into your vehicle.An essential part of your kit.

Brilliant

This is a superbly made stand which combines strength, portability, and function in a compact and easily stored package. There are loads of stands on the market and this is priced at the upper end bracket but it is worth every penny. I have mounted a DeWalt 18v mitre saw and a Festool Kapex on it and both saws are rock-steady. The extending arms have a cam lock and even at full extension, are rigid. I much prefer the fixed platform on the extension arms as rollers do not keep the work piece secure. The folding stop is excellent for repeat cutting.Easy to open and close, minimum storage space and reasonably light to carry using the built in handle makes this a really well designed and made stand. Highly recommended.

Dewalt Sagbenk

Great sale-price for a solid, incredibly well-designed support stand. It feels as strong as the miter saw I will attach to it. The extension bars and especially the support brackets are ingeniously functional - sturdy yet quickly demountable. The entire unit folds up into an easily carryable unit. I assume I'll be using this for the rest of my woodworking life, which is much improved now by my not having to bend over and use the chop saw on the ground!

Ok if you are buying a mitre saw or have one and you are not sure if this stand would fit you saw of choice, stop researching, this stand will fit any mitre saw and anything else you want to fit unto it. So how am I so confident? Well my wife and family bought me the Bosch GCM 8 SDE 216mm Double Bevel Mitre Saw and this stand for my 60th Birthday. I order them both the day before my birthday and they arrived the day after, you can't beat that. I was unsure if they would match as 2 different companies. I called Axminster they assured me they would match. Now I have them I see they will fit all. Now to the stand itself: Most impressed once I lifted it out of the box, robust. This stand is so easy to put together I didn't realise instructions came with it to later. A 4 yr old could do the little bit of assemble. It come with the leg fitted. Just life it out, open the legs and fit the to 2 end support to the sliding arms. Once the saw is fitted, put a straightedge on the saw and extend to the extension arms, adjust the bracket to the straightedge, tighten any bolts up and you are ready to go. One great feature on this stand. Most stand have rollers on the extension arms, this one has flat steel supports. Think about it, those of us who use roller know they can have problems is not at 90 degrees to the saw fence making the timber travel. However, you really won't feed timber into a mitre saw so no real need for rollers. The timbers used will be light enough to move on a flat plate. Now this is where this stand is apart from the others, because of the flat plates, Dewalt have added flip up timber stops and these will be invaluable to me and most of you to. So if in any doubt about buying this stand or worried you may purchase something that will not fit you saw or other tools, relax, it will. I recommend this stand 100% and also the saw too. Good Piece of Equipment

This item arrived with me in good time and at a reasonable price. However when I attempted to mount the saw one of the mounting brackets wouldn’t catch to secure the saw to the stand. I decided to take the brackets off and mount them to the stand first and discovered that one of the little plastic nipples which is part of the bracket was broken off. Also, a very small part fell to the floor as I removed the bracket. It took me over an hour to discover where this part came from. After dismantling the bracket I inserted the part which obviously couldn’t have been properly fitted at the factory. Reassembled it and got the system working as it should. Grand stand

Delivery of my DE7033-XJ was super quick!This is the most robust mitre saw stand that I have seen for sensible money, with many useful features. If I have minor quibbles they are that one of the legs should be adjustable to account for uneven ground, and the work support/length stop has a small amount of play (but nothing that can't be fixed with nylon washers).

Great product

I used to have to lift my mitre saw on and off my workbench umpteen times whilst doing any DIY work, which slowed things down and got a bit wearing at times too! So decided to get a purpose built mitre saw stand, what can i say?! This makes life using your mitre saw so much easier, its very quick and easy to set up, the timber support extensions are brilliant, no more having to move and set up sawhorses to help support long lengths. Well built, usual great DeWalt quality. Would highly recommend it.

Should’ve bought it in the first place

Had one for a while from a budget brand which cost about half the price. The support arms were rubbish and it was way to low so get fed up with it and bought this. Much better. It’s taller, more stable and a quality item which works. Should’ve bought it in the first place! Buy cheap buy twice as the saying goes.

Solid and safe.

I bought this a few weeks ago for my DeWalt DW708 Mitre saw. Instructions for mounting the brackets to the saw were clear and overall the stand is very solid and inspires confidence. However, operationally, a major flaw is the inability to set up the stops to cut short lengths. You must slide your saw along the rail or have some other method. That brings me onto the second flaw, which is why I awarded only 3 stars. Rating the stand was very difficult. It is solid and well made. It is well worth the money...but I cannot get the saw off the stand! I practiced with the levers before mounting the saw and all worked well. No amount of lever pulling/tilting will get my saw to budge now that it is secured to the stand. I will have to unbolt the bracket from the saw and remove it that way. You may not have this problem with one of the smaller/lighter DeWalt saws - but I certainly have with the bigger saw.The moral of this story is probably to use a smaller/lighter saw on the stand and leave the big one back in the workshop permanently fixed to a workstation.
