Diablo makes good products, don’t get me wrong. Their saw blades are good and their standard abrasives are excellent especially compared to the “blue” big box store’s house brand. However these are a total waste of money. They claim to last 10x as long as a regular sand paper - I would love to know what they’re comparing to. These don’t even last as long as their standard red paper disks; but they cost about 6x as much. I can’t see a single advantage to using these unless you’re sanding a lot of gummy finishes then *maybe* they can be rinsed. But for regular sanding on bare wood they are absolutely no better than a standard disk.

I went through a ton of regular discs then got these on a whim. The 60 grit version made fast work of white oak flooring. Tomorrow I'm getting 100 grit to finish.

Great idea, cleanable, reusable sanding pads. Only they have unfinished edges. Meaning that they fall apart on use, leaving frayed strings whipping around on your work with little ability to control where they are hitting. Would be fixed by simply making a thicker edge, or a thin layer of binding. Around the edge.

I got some 80, 150, 220, and 320. It is the best sanding product I have ever used. I'm a wood worker and refinisher and I have my orbital sander hooked up to my shop vac and a Dust Cyclone and I never get clogged. I can also use the pads on my sanding blocks when I'm sanding by hand or between coats of sealer, or even by hand when you need to sand turned items, routed, knock out edges, distressed look. I am all about saving money and I use my 80 grid and when it's worn-out well it becomes 100 well almost or close enough. Bottom line this product is amazing and I have used just about ... I’ve used one piece so far on two 10-ft boards front and back and this pad really does hold up! I don’t do a ton of sanding but when I do, it’s typically on bigger projects, and I want pads that will last. This Diablo 5” 320-Grit SandNet Disc does what it advertises. I also have all the other grits as well.
While I love Diablo products, this product is very poor. I bought these 10 packs in various grits (120,150,180,220) and they’re all the same with regards to quality.While sanding small pieces on the edges of the discs break off and end up on your work piece. As you continue to sand you’ll eventually go over these small pieces and create deep swirl marks “pig tails” in your work piece.I understand swirl marks “pig tails” are apart of sanding but these are worst then any other sanding discs I’ve used in the past.
The pack comes with the pad you need to use to attach these discs. They were easy to apply and switch. I started at 180-grit and then finished with 320-grit to sand my project. These pads left a great finish and didn't clog at all. It appears they'll last for quite a while. My Bosch RO sander had no problem collecting the dust they created.
The sanding disks are great! I bought them as a gift for a woodworking friend who asked where I got them so more (of different grits) could be purchased! I'm told that they work very well. So, yes, I would recommend them and more will be purchased.
Well, I don't know what to say. The package looks right, but the actual sanding disks are a cream color, not red. I don't know if this is old stock or what, I've never seen these in this color before. They *appear* to work (it's a sanding disk, how could it not work, other than being the wrong grit), but I don't know about the longevity yet.
Disks are made of "premium aluminum oxide grade" and they really do last. They claim 10 times as long as ordinary sanding disks. I was sanding kitchen cabinet doors and using 1 (320 grit) regular disk per door, but I got these and did 6 doors and the disk still has life in it. So they aren't exaggerating. You can rinse them if they get clogged. They fit most 5" round sanders with the included connecting pad. By my finger test, they sanded as smooth or smoother than regular sandpaper. So I'm impressed.
