Seen an ad for the Diablo Blade on the internet. Picked one up at the local hardware store. I could kick myself many time over again for not finding this blade sooner. This is my go to blade for all my cutting jobs. Have just about every blade they make now. I have saved a ton of money because I am not continuously buying replacement blades anymore.

Got 6 pruning blades from harbor freight. They would bend and get dull very fast. Bought the diablo and what a blade. I was cutting roots from a stump and this 1 blade, done 10 times the work as the harbor freight. So I decided to try a harbor freight carbide blade, wrong decision. Went back to the old diablo. The ace hardware store were out of the blade, so i purchased a diablo general purchase. For what I was doing, I had to go back to the old diablo and it is still ticking. Simply the "best".

In last month I have bought about 25 of the 3TPI pruning blades. 6, 9, and 12 inch carbon blades. I have been cutting roots and used a B&D Quantum Pro, a new Milwaukee Cordless Sawsall, and a new corded Milwaukee Sawsall. Each blade eventually brakes off at the connection point to the saw. It does not matter if the teeth last 50-times longer if the blade snaps off just like competitors blades. At $1/blade inch, I have spent a lot of money but have only cut out half of the tree roots. Back to HD to get more, since I can't find an alternative brand making 3-TPI pruning blades. If they were lower cost, it wouldn't hurt so much but expect more durability for high cost. Good luck.

Other blades wear out, not this one! It just seems to go on.... I bought Dewalt blades first but they wore out fast. Enjoy!
This got its first use in the aftermath of hurricane Michael. Anything that didn't require a chainsaw got to meet this blade. It cut quickly and smoothly, and kept doing it for days. Although the urgent need is past, it is still cutting very well.
I used this blade to demo deck railing, making sure to stay away from nails. As with other Diablo blades, it performed very well. My only concern is worrying about avoiding nails. While I'm sure the blade's carbide teeth will handle nails just fine, I will probably stick with blades that are rated for cutting nails. Also, it would be nice if the "intended use" of the bade was printed closer to the tool end where it won't wear off so it can still be read after use.
I got this blade in the mail and thought it's time for me to finally clean up the yard.Lots of trees surrounding my property creating too much shade for my plantings Some trees on my property were also blocking the sun where I wanted it to be.I started to cut some thinking I would do some today and some next week. I could not stop once I started. It was cutting through so fast I cleared it all in a short time. I then cut it into smaller pieces and still went in to watch football. The game was still in the first quarter !! I would definitely advise in favor of using this blade. It made the work almost effortless.I've always advised others to let the tool do the work. In this case it was so true.
We used our new blade to make a clean, fresh cut at the bottom of our real Fraser fir Christmas tree. It worked wonderfully, even with the tree being partially frozen. This blade will also come in handy when trimming up and pruning all of the trees in our yard next spring.
I work on properties all the time. I end up cutting thick branches, bushes and roots. Even cutting roots in the ground these blades hold up so well and stay sharp! Just switched to diablo and love the peformance.
I never used a reciprocating saw in the garden until I got a newer generation powerful battery driven model. This blade is tough and aggressive enough to seat quickly without slipping when I prune large shrubs and small trees. It also makes quick work of back cuts (upper cuts) when notching heavy limbs on the underside to prevent splitting. On the spur of the moment I've been known to cut / trim / point stakes as needed or repair a bird / bat house or feeder without changing blades. The Demo Demon is stiff enough to be reasonably accurate for rustic work and long enough to handle heavy chores in soft woods. One can guide it closely to re-cut poorly trimmed branch stubs left by hand pruning or damage. It will cut a sizable hardwood branch, too; but support it ... MoreI never used a reciprocating saw in the garden until I got a newer generation powerful battery driven model. Personally I prefer to be farther away from such a heavy limb - but this blade does prepare a great notch for finishing with a pole pruner... Now that I keep some of these with my gardening / landscaping tools, I'll be using my reciprocating saw to de-limb and reduce wind falls this season.
