It does not smell like being out in a literal field of flowers the way more like the impression of a bouquet, it smells more like how i would imagine a perfectly coiffed Parisien woman walking downtown and pausing to look over a bridge at the water would smell. The fragrance is pretty long-lasting: i usually wear two puffs of it, one on the wrists, one on the neck, and doing that lasts about 6 hours on cool days, but only ~2 hours on hot/sweaty days (but i generally find only men’s fragrances persist through hot days). There is nothing about fresh roses, vanilla, peach, and powder that are likely to offend anyone. Unfortunately for my nose, this is also what will prevent it from being a stand out for me. With a moderate sillage (1-3 feet), moderate longevity (about 6 hours on skin) and moderate run of the mill floral notes, Miss Dior misses the mark on being a true stand out fragrance. This can very well work in its favor, for people who are looking for a staple fragrance that's not likely to turn anyone off. Though I'm not keen on gendering fragrances, the lean on Miss Dior is decidedly feminine. It smells like a heavy spring day in a garden bursting with flowers. The images it evokes are of bushes and branches bustling with flowers, picnic blankets and baskets of fruit and jam sandwiches. I personally would have loved some grass, or moss or even oud notes to balance it out. Though Sandalwood is mentioned in the composition, I don't get it at all on my skin. But was I to wear an organza dress for a stroll in the gardens with my parasol, Miss Dior would be the one I would reach for. I've given this 4 stars, because though it's not for me personally, I think it delivers what it intended. If a clean linear floral is what you want, I think it would work well for.

I get no headaches which is amazing because often times scented products will have that effect on me. The packaging is pretty and appears durable. The lid is a bit difficult to remove at first. In 2019 Miss Dior was reformulated again and smells nothing like its predecessor. The 2012 one ( the one I was hoping to get) smells very similar to Coco Mademoiselle, while this new one is completely different. It smells like a modern take on a soft elegant rose. It is a beautiful scent, but it’s not what I wanted. Sadly I can’t return it, but it’s my fault though for not reading more carefully...I guess I got excited thinking they still had the older version in stock (I can’t find it anywhere). In addition to the centifolia rose, the star of the show, the Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is a menagerie of floral notes with iris, peony, and lily of the valley. Unlike most fragrances nowadays, the scent does not have a light, fruity opening so I was immediately overwhelmed with a flower bomb of sweet floral notes. This quickly mellows and fuses with another sweet and warm blend of scents thanks to the vanilla, musk, and benzoin. To me, the Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum feels unfortunately one-dimensional. Despite having a good number of notes, the fragrance feels heady and overly sweet, lacking levity and freshness. Admittedly warm florals aren't my top category of perfumes but Miss Dior just feels too confined and old-fashioned. Unfortunately, I've never smelled the original Miss Dior so I can't make any comparisons but the 2020 Miss Dior Rose N'Roses Eau de Toilette (reviewed here) is much more up my alley with a fresher, more vibrant scent that still highlights the floral aspect. There are nothing like the Classics When it come to perfume. Christian Dior’ original Miss Dior, qualifies highly as one of those Classics. I’m a senior and I’ve seen many perfumes come and go, but Miss Dior still delivers an all day wonderful fragrance with just a few sprays in the morn. Don’t be fooled by anything less than perfume. The bottles may look alike, but there is a huge difference from the toilette water Miss Dior and the perfume. I’m not exaggerating when I say almost everywhere I go I get compliments about what a wonderful fragrance I’m wearing and many ask for the name. But I must warn you that if your chemistry make a big difference to each individual wearer. If your chemistry doesn’t align with certain fragrances, the smell just isn’t going to compliment you. Sadly, you won’t know unless you buy a bottle. Or go to Macy’s and spray some on and see if it last on you and if anyone notices your new smell. I’m a little upset with companies that change fragrances so often that they leave the Classics behind. It’s hard for me to get out and shop so I’m very grateful to AMAZON for having Miss Dior to sell.
