Diptyque - Baies Candle 600g

This is my favorite candle of all times. Nothing can replace it. (I've tried). I received the first one as a gift, years ago. Ever since then, I became addicted to the fragrance. It's expensive yes, but there doesn't seem to be another candle that I like as well. Some manufacturers are selling fragrance candles at higher prices. I find them inferior to the BAIES fragrance candle I love. It's like a treat you give to yourself. Everyone who comes to my home, remarks about the beautiful scent when coming through the door.

My boyfriend bought this scent in the largest candle that dipytque makes. I fell in love with the scent and needed another candle for every room in our apartment. I bought 2 of these to put one on each of our night stands. The scent is very potent and even keeps our room smelling nice when it’s not lit. You don’t need to burn it for that long either. I burn it for about 20 minutes before blowing it out and the scent lingers for a long time!

Baies -such a gorgeous luxury candle

Great new packaging on an old favourite -a super way to update such a glorious scented candle without messing with the incredibly popular scent. it looks wonderful in my living room and, as usual, scents most of the downstairs for me without even having to light it. The wax is very good for not smouldering and getting sooty and the scent seems to last for ages after it has been lit -with any disturbance of the air as I walk past releasing yet more. A very good buy.

Luxurious, gorgeous spa like candle

Diptyque Baies candle is a huge luxury. The best smelling candle in my opinion as it isn't too strong but is very noticeable. Yes this candle is a huge splurge, however the candle last a long time and doesn't require hours upon hours of burning to fill your home with its wonderful scent.1 candle usually last me between 12-18 months. I then use the the empty candle as a plant pot (after cleaning and removing any left over wax).Everyone always comments on the wonderful scent and I wouldn't choose any other candle.

The BEST Luxe Gift

One of the heavy hitters, in all senses. Looks, smells and feels like the absolute luxe item it is. Comes packaaged in a gorgeous circular hat box that you can't wait to open. The scent throw is phenomenal even before you light it so just let it sit there garnering compliments and looking amazing.You do have to look after it though, to keep it at it's best. Cover it when not in use and make sure the wicks are kept short. This will allow the five-wick candle to burn evenly.

Too heavy

I don’t really understand the hype over this fragrance at all. It’s sickly but not in an overly sweet way. I’ve had Amber previously and that is an inviting fragrance. I was going to buy fig (annoyed I didn’t) before going with this one based on reviews. It’s too much and has a heavy floral fruity scent I would neither place this for winter or summer it’s confused. If you’re into that overly heavy fruit floral scent then you’ll like it but for me it’s not a sophisticated scent.

Treat yourself!

Dyptique candles are just beautifully made all around! I have owned several of the Baies scented candles over the years, but I decided to treat myself to the three wick candle version. It’s just so beautifully made, and the smell just completely envelops my whole home in the most pleasant way. They are pricey, but after you have burnt the candle for many many hours, you are left with this beautiful vase that can be used for many things (such as storing makeup brushes), which keeps on giving well after the wax has vanished. Absolutely love!

Underwhelming miss for the Diptyque line

I love BAIES and have been super happy in the past, but this version didn't smell as strong out of the box as the smaller 2.4 & 6.5 oz white candles I've purchased in the past. I have an excellent sense of smell & should've gone with my gut. Regrettably, I decided to give it a shot and light it up anyway. Has tunneling after 1st burn which someone else also commented they were disappointed by as this doesn't happen with the white candles. I concur. Scent was weaker even after candle was initially lit for approx. 5 hours. I bought it because the store was out of my regular option, but regret it. The black large glass jar is nice, but not worth the $98 price unless you absolutely have to have it in your collection. My advice is to stick with the white wax. Wish the smell was stronger, love the black.

I got this on sale along with some indulge points, so I was really happy with the price. So much cheaper to purchase from SpaceNK than here in Australia! Burns well, however I wish the fragrance was more pronounced. Will be enjoyed by someone who doesn’t want anything too strong. Truth be told I bought this candle as I wanted to use it as a makeup brush holder on my black and gold vanity, so happy that the candle will live on!

I do really like Baies, although my faves are ambre, feu de bois, cypres probably. But Baies is fresh and zingy, with the blackcurrant and rose waking up the senses nicely. The black jar is really lovely and chic, but I personally like to be able to see the flame better through the jar and have the candle as a light source. And of course like all Diptyque candles it lasts really well, although it needs to be left burning longer than the 190g size to prevent tunnelling.
