the fragrance is actually part of the floral family, and channels the scent of the mimosa flower in full bloom. Full disclosure, I’m normally not a huge fan of overtly floral scents, and during the spring and summer months, I often opt for fruity scents (in fact, Diptyque’s Citronelle is constantly burning on my nightstand May through August). However, I’d heard some great things about the light and airy Mimosa candle, and how, according to the Diptyque site, it’s meant to transport you to the French Riviera, where the honey-scented flowers famously thrive in late winter and early spring. That was enough to get me on board.

These may be pricey but they are soooooo worth it. I have tried MANY Diptyque candles including the Mimosa and have loved them all. The scents are all divine and the candle design is unmatched. These make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, housewarming gifts, hostess gifts, birthdays, etc. I also love to upcycle the containers when they are burned out (just stick them in the freezer over night and in the morning you can easily remove any excess wax with a knife). They make the perfect containers for bathroom items (Q-tips, cotton, etc), pens, flowers, you name it.

Well this is just lovely, after all the deep and heavy candles over the Winter months, I lit this today, sun is shining, first signs of Spring and this is very clean, floral fresh scent. Quite uplifting I have to say. This will probably carry through well to the Summer months. Only downside is the throw isn't brilliant and the scent doesn't linger like other fragrances, so this sadly wouldn't be a repurchase for me. But still very nice (close up) non the less!
As a huge fan of Diptyque, I can't live without having at least one of these candles in my house. This Mimosa scent is just delightful and gives off a fresh, spring/summer scent. These candles last for a long time and I usually burn them a for a few hours an evening. It makes a great gift for someone special too!
This smells so lovely, but buy this only if you are a fan of powdery florals. I blind bought this and was apprehensive because I saw quite a few reviews saying the scent is weak. When the candle arrived I was so relieved as it smelled wonderful, and you just have to burn it for 2-3 hours and the scent will linger on after the candle is put out. I don't burn this for too long as the scent can get cloying after a while. My candle tunneled a bit but nothing that the tin foil trick couldn't fix.
The ultimate french treat. As a loyal fan of dyptique this scent is my favourite. Just so fresh and delightful with summer holiday vibes. Mixing this candle along with the gorgeous room spray is heavenly for any home. An excellent gift too. Don't hesitate.
