Diptyque Scented Candle - Mimosa 70g

A few months ago I purchased a set of three small Diptyque candles on their website for $108. The price margin is significantly higher for these candles than what I am used to, but they definitely give you the luxury experience. 🕯My candles arrived carefully packed and tucked into a branded Diptyque pouch. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the presentation of the products. The Mimosa candle had less intensity than the other two I had purchased. This smells INCREDIBLE! I love the parisian style to this, its absolutely beautiful. It throws out the mimosa scent so well and is so long lasting. Its a perfect summer scent and everyone always comments on how amazing it smells wether its lit or not - highly recommend

I bought this without smelling it in store first. So I was a little scared, but when I just barely opened the packing I knew I made the right choice. It’s velvety, delicately honeyed notes, make the perfect winter comfort. It’s floral yet not overly strong, accompanied by honeyed notes which gives off warm vibes. If you’re tired of baies and roses, I would recommend this unique scent. Diptyque candles are a work of luxury that will elevate the ambiance of your home both by looks and scent.

the fragrance is actually part of the floral family, and channels the scent of the mimosa flower in full bloom. Full disclosure, I’m normally not a huge fan of overtly floral scents, and during the spring and summer months, I often opt for fruity scents (in fact, Diptyque’s Citronelle is constantly burning on my nightstand May through August). However, I’d heard some great things about the light and airy Mimosa candle, and how, according to the Diptyque site, it’s meant to transport you to the French Riviera, where the honey-scented flowers famously thrive in late winter and early spring. That was enough to get me on board.

These may be pricey but they are soooooo worth it. I have tried MANY Diptyque candles including the Mimosa and have loved them all. The scents are all divine and the candle design is unmatched. These make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, housewarming gifts, hostess gifts, birthdays, etc. I also love to upcycle the containers when they are burned out (just stick them in the freezer over night and in the morning you can easily remove any excess wax with a knife). They make the perfect containers for bathroom items (Q-tips, cotton, etc), pens, flowers, you name it.

Disappointing Buy

I bought myself two Diptyque candles for Easter, one being Mimosa and the other Baies. As much as I adore Baies, unfortunately Mimosa didn't live up to the same expectations. Evidently they are very different scents, but the experiences I have had with both have been so contrasting, it's hard to believe they are made by the same brand. I loved the scent of Mimosa from the in store tester, but since I have opened mine and lit it, all I can smell is sunscreen. Now this may be because "mimosa" is a commonly used fragrance for sunscreens, but even so, I didn't expect the candle to smell like this. Yes, whether or not I like the scent is of course up to personal preference, but the weakness of the fragrance and the quality of the candle is most definitely not. This has honestly disappointed me greatly, and I would not buy again.

First Diptyque candle, and sure not gonna be the last

First, when i was in store trying to smell this beautiful candle, I couldn't smell anything. I was looking for something gentle, floral, clean, but not overbearing since I'm gonna use it for a relaxation purpose. The shop assistant recommend this among other 3 or 4 scents.Definitely hooked with the soft and clean scents. Good but not great :(

While it’s still a very nice candle to have, it definitely isn’t worth the money. I’ve paid less than half the price for other candle brands in the past and they have smelt stronger and nicer than this one. The scent is not very strong and I can’t smell anything while it’s burning. Glad I used a gift voucher in this and not my own money.

Stunning Scent!

I absolutely adore this Diptyque Scent, It's by far my favourite!The smell is so elegant, and I cant get enough of it, It is floral, sweet and the perfect candle for spring. This candle is such good quality and is definitely worth the price, plus it looks so cute displayed in your home. Definitely recommend it.

It isn't a candle range that emits strong fragrance, just enough to linger in a room and give you a nice scent to perk up a particular area. If you're a candle fan who loves candles that can fill an entire house with scent, I would advise that Diptyque probably isn't for you. I've managed to fix the tunneling using the old tin foil trick (google it if you've never heard of it - works a treat!).I have this candle on my desk and love having it lit whilst I'm studying. It's such a beautiful aroma and one that I will continue to invest in for quite a long time to come.
