I really like my existing motion controller for the Avata, but when I wanted to learn more 'advanced' tricks I needed this controller. It's very well constructed and easy to use. I really like that it pairs very quickly to the drone and the goggles. Finally, it's a ton of fun to learn using the DJI Flight Sim app.

So out of desperation to fly freestyle I pre-ordered it to ship later from Get FPV in hopes to get it before Christmas. A couple days later I got confirmation that the controller was shipped and on the way. I was blown away and you all beat my expectations and made my dreams come true. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love yall. You are the best.

The gimbal sticks are very short, so if you are a pincher style pilot, the sticks need to be modified. I did this by using an m2 screw with some brass standoff screws and the tbs honey stick ends. Once the sticks were longer and to my liking I love this remote for its ergonomic design and excellent smooth hall sensor gimbal design. With this modification it feels much more like a tango 2 controller which is what I am used to. There is a video that will be posted on my YouTube @cementkidd showing the modification in detail.
I've had this for a couple of weeks and really enjoy the added co trip this gives over the drone. Ironically, DJI has now released the 2nd version of the motion controller which appears to do the same thing. I believe, however, that if you want I fly in full manual mode like a traditional FPV drone you will still require this controller.

It showed that Getfpv had some in stock for cheaper than the other guys. I chatted online with Getfpv to make sure. The man said "if the website says its in stock then its in stock" , a little rude sounding when you read it. But i chose to hear it differently in my head. Plus I was too excited to be upset. Although I did not truly believe him or the site. But I ordered it. And after about a week .....IT CAME IN YESTERDAY 9/22. I have been hearing and reading horror stories of people ordering elsewhere and getting used, broken, opened, overpriced controllers for their Avata. Jumped on ordering this product when GETFPV notified by email item was in stock. Was fortunate to acquire one before running out of stock again.Have been using remote controller with DJI simulator learning how to fly the Avata in manual mode. Love the feel and operation of the controller. After having acquired approximately 10 hrs on the controller and simulator I can easily fly my Avata in manual mode. Would not trade the DJI controller 2 for anything else.
Its a very well-built controller. Easy to work with just a little bit of learning skills on the flight of the aircraft. I believe its a little more expensive than it should be, but I wanted it so I bit the bullet to get it the only other thing it is limit on how many aircraft you can fly with
I have had a nightmare of a time getting this remote to work from the moment I got it. It has had remote calibration errors since ownership and DJI fails to do anything about it. Yesterday the craft took off and almost crashed into a car, and could not land. This is after many failed attempts to calibrate, tightening and loosening the screws F1 F2, recalibrating, you name it. I have not been able to fly the Avata at all since ownership and I am forced to sell everything. Out 2k. The issue is that DJI makes consumers adjust screws to put in manual mode. They should just sell manual mode controllers as is. Also selling the Avata with only motion controller is a total marketing gimmick.
So far so good. Excellent battery life and low latency with the DJI Avata and FPV Googles V2. Definitely a needed accessory if you want to really get the most out of your FPV drone.
