I guess it depends on how you fly, I found it being a new mind set was a little unnerving and took some time to get conferrable. In the end the type of flying I do is very tight and does not lend itself to this type of controller. Out in the open it's fine. I think a higher risk of crashing is a possibility. More time on task needed. Thanks

Adds another dimension to flying the dji fpv drone. An amount of caution is required to develop your skills, be prepared to operate emergency brake as in sport mode things happen fast. All in all brilliant fun.

I guess it depends on how you fly, I found it being a new mind set was a little unnerving and took some time to get conferrable. In the end the type of flying I do is very tight and does not lend itself to this type of controller. Out in the open it's fine. I think a higher risk of crashing is a possibility. I was amazed at how easy it was to pick up this controller for the DJI FPV. With a quick review of the button and controller functions and no time in the simulator, I was up and flying immediately. This control method is amazingly intuitive for existing pilots and new pilots. You lose the ability to strafe (fly the aircraft sideways) but what you gain in immersion is worth it. If you need to perform more technical maneuvers, stick with the two stick controller.Now, if only DJI would make this controller compatible with their other drones, we would have a total winner here. This is the only reason for removing a star, this controller is expensive for only being compatible with a single aircraft. I have been having loads of fun with the DJI FPV drone. But when you fly with the motion controller its a whole new experience. Hold the motion controller in your hand and fly your hand like an airplane while the drone follows the movement. The gimbal moves automatically when going up or down giving the feeling you're in a steep climb or a dive

This has become my preferred method of flight control when flying in standard GPS modes. It just makes sense up is up down is down & twist wrist to yaw point the circle in direction of travel &pull the trigger & whoosh off it goes !
You can't flip or be as precise as you can with sticks, but you feel like a fighter pilot and can fly fast, bank, and do all kinds of fun stuff. I love this thing.
I kinda got this for my 8 year old son to be able to play "quads" with me since he is still learning how to properly fly. It's fun for a few minutes but loses its novelty quickly for me.
