These have a beautiful sheen and would be great for embroidery work. Unfortunately they do not work for what i intended to do with them and I find that they have a plastic feel to them.

Great colors and easy to work with, rated four stars due to my daughter having difficulty finding the right end to pull out thread without tangling .
DMC is the only floss that I use. It is uniform in color and best in durability.
I love DMC floss! This satin floss is so soft and easy to work with. I love the shine, color, and smooth texture this floss gives to projects!
Amazingly shiny, I love the effect it gives in my nature-themed embroidery project. Makes everything look so luxurious. It is a little hard to thread though, but I use beeswax to make it less slippery.
I've never used the satin range before but end results were stunning! Remember to use short strands like you would metallic as will fray while sewing with it. Excellent value for money with Lovecrafts.
Bought this because the color I needed wasn't available in regular DMC thread (at the store). Yes it works completely fine, but it is very slippery and I had to anchor it really well to keep the stitches from coming loose. Would not recommend using satin floss for cross stitch as a beginner.
I like the sheen this floss gives to my needlepoint. Changes up the look.
