Gorgeous vibrant colors. Thin fine threads which are easy to put into the eye of the needle. Doesn’t store well on the DMC plastic bobbins. The individual strands will appear messy and it won’t neatly wrap around the bobbin. Harder to embroider with than cotton Pearl floss but the sheen from the satin finish always adds such a gorgeous pop to your project. I often will remove on single strand of the satin floss and mix it with 2 strands of regular cotton 6ply dmc floss. Recommend highly.

Bought this in hopes of making a bracelet only for it to immediately start unraveling and making horrible knots. The other string I bought worked just fine but this just wouldn't knot right. You'd think for a higher price it would better but no. It's worse. Save your money

I purchased several skeins of DMC Satin floss for a needlepoint project that required the seven rainbow colors. Since it is a large canvas, it will be several months before it is finished. LoveCrafts had a better overall selection of colors and more inventory on hand than I could get at home. And the prices were actually much better than the local stores.

Bought this because the color I needed wasn't available in regular DMC thread (at the store). Yes it works completely fine, but it is very slippery and I had to anchor it really well to keep the stitches from coming loose. Would not recommend using satin floss for cross stitch as a beginner.
Very nice feeling, it does have a tendancy to get a little ragged if youre using tear away paper for your embroidery pattern, so use short lengths of it in those cases. The shine is perfect for my celestial embroidery project
This silk floss is a bit hard to work with. It shreds a bit and dulls out as you work it. If you separate it into two strands the strands won’t come together into one working strand. I recommend you use a short strand even though it will mean knotting and Re threading more frequently. It is a really pretty sheen and it is a pity it doesn’t hold up better.
The color and shimmer look lovely but embroidering with this thread is an absolute nightmare. Because the texture is more slick than regular embroidery floss it tends to slip, knots don’t always hold, and strands tend to separate from each other when you’re working with more than one at a time. I use this floss for minor details and highlights only and avoid it when I can. Stick with standard DMC floss whenever you can.
I find this quite slippery and although it doesn't tangle easily it is really hard, for me, to keep it all together. If you have been embroidering for a while you'll see that something about it is very, very different from the regular stuff we all have used. I didn't like working with it, but I know for sure that someone with a lot more experience will appreciate it.
I needed black floss and this was all they had in stock. Thought it would look nice for a snowman hat. Could not tell was glossy compared to rest of project. Did not enjoy working with as was too slippery and was knotting and catching easily as trying to pull thru. I have been doing cross stitch for over 30 years, will not buy again and may not even use what I have left over.
