Bought the 71L for standard camping use. Holds ice 3+ days easily. Longer if not opening and closing too much. Heaps of room and the optional rack helps keep dry items you donāt want getting wet in the melted ice. 2 person lift when full. Solid construction as well. Highly recommend

Great product. As the description outlines, you need to have solid blocks of ice not the bags of ice you buy from a servo. The blocks last a long time. I simply used old ice cream containers and yogurt 2 litre containers. Whacked them in the freezer and into the ice box when needed. I didnāt know if the 71 litre would be big enough, but it certainly is.

I like that it has silicon clips and while they are hardy and won't snap like plastic clips they form part of its light weight assembly that is easy to remove and replace if needed. Easy lift for one person empty or part filled, easier with 2 especially full. Has divider and racks as add ons to make organisation easy especially for trips away to store food & drinks. This product is everything that Waeco, and the rebranded Dometic fans will appreciate and expect.

We bought this product to use when we go camping. Haven't been camping with it yet, but we feel reasonably confident that it's going to be great. We used it on a 4 day trip away at Christmas, and were very happy with the result. It kept our food and drinks cold the WHOLE time. Most impressed. Would totally recommend this product to anyone thinking of purchasing it.
I bought this to replace another so called "good esky" which was supposed to keep ice for a few days and never lived up to the hype. Sp after some research I choose this Dometic 71L. there was still ice in the esky after 3 days of fairly warm weather, inside the tent was even warmer. The 2 frozen water bottles lasted 4 days. Very happy. Probably just a little bigger than I wanted but the next size down was too small. Also bought the baskets which are very handy but having 2 of them, restricts what can stand up inside the esky. Probably only use 1 in the future.
I needed something to keep my frozen food frozen and bottles of water chilled in the back of the ute while I did a 3hr hike. To my surprise, after a 12hrs on a hot day, the ice cubes were still ice cubes, frozen food still frozen and room temperature water absolutely cold. Took the frozen food out and left the water bottles in and ice eventually turned to water after 4 days but the chilly bin was still real cold. Definite bang for buck chilly bin!

My mate next to me who had the same esky and same amount of drinks,food and ice was still going strong. Came back from my trip and went to talk to someone at bcf and she told me I was opening my esky too much and is why it melted, I went home and decided to test this esky so I bough 3 bags of ice,put them into the esky with no food or drinks and moved the esky into my house. This was Wednesday night... by Saturday morning almost all the ice was melted. Went back to bcf and the guy is now telling me itās the type of ice Iām using! I have only taken this on one trip but the ice blocks (2l milk containers) still had ice after Easter long weekend/4 days. Everything stayed cold and it was being opened regularly as was our only esky. If going for longer, will prob use smaller esky for regular items, milk etc so lid stays closed which will keep ice for even longer. Wheels were great and glad I got this model as it is heavy when loaded. Heard some mention position of handle. I didnāt mind. You just gotta stand to side but I am 6ā4 with ape like limbs haha
It did keep things cold but I expected the ice to not melt so quickly considering it is winter time. Two full bags of ice completely melted in approximately three days. It did have a towel covering the ice layer in an attempt to restrict the cold. Tried to minimise the amount of time the icebox was in direct sum.
Best one out there. Value for money and keeps everything cool for yonks!! Iāve tried a few coolers but this one tops āem right out. Bought it knowing itās only gonna use it for the weekend but ended up the all the ice were still good probably for another day or two. Definitely recommend this than buying those expensive ones.
