Got the Dr Martens rugged and dressed aesthetic, but also the usual issues as with most ankle-high boots made of tough leather-esque material. Needs some breaking in to make it comfortable for longer wear. At the moment, my calves know they're hitting against the top of the boot with every step. Wish they would line the cuff edge with some cushioning to make it softer against the calf. The laces were not thought out at all. They're a flimsy, slim polyester blend that don't really hold. Haven't got much wear from my pair, since I've been looking for a new pair of laces to replace the originals. Not what you expect when you pay this much for a pair of Docs.

Genuine Doc Martens - comfy, sturdy, trendy. Love the Matt black finish. These boots are for wear everyday, every situation. My last pair lasted 20 years and only reason don’t have them is cos got mouldy in my mouldy rental house. Otherwise I’d still be wearing them! Hope to have these for the next 30+ years! Good wide fit for my bunions too….

The boots live up to the DR Marten brand and are well worth their money. My issue is the lack of any mention of them being the vegan version on the product page which gives off the impression they are of the real leather type. This wasn't a particular issue for me but the lack of clarity and option to return the product because of it makes this dishonest advertising. This is potentially harmful to the consumer due to the expensive nature of these boots.
Nice boot, love the softer leather. Don't be confused like I was though about Myer saying it is a women's boot ('Gender: Women') it is unisex, written on the box. This is important as the UNISEX boots require you to size down/slightly smaller. I have a very narrow women's 7.5AU/38.5EU and got these in UK 5 like my other standard 1460s.I ended up returning for the women's boot I was after:the Pascal Virginias (also soft leather, but slight dimpled/textured) the Pascals hug the ankle and my narrow foot like a sock almost, have a more feminine, angular heel and do NOT need you to size down (I wish they did a UK 5.5 but I had to get a 6)Both very comfy and flattering but for me, the Pascals moreso :)
The nappa leather on these was just the nicest look I wanted for my dr Martens as I own a few pairs in other models. Unfortunately these one run very very big so one has to size down, I previously read it in the reviews but I still ordered the last size that was available which was my regular size and yess Indeed they ran too big, but how I wish they would have fit me, will look for my size next time they re in stock . They are gorgeous and will last a lifetime… sport altitude was really easy with the return and refund, great store to order from when you are unsure about sizing ( or even when you are sure :)
As I have seen these trending more and more and winter is upon us, I decided to finally purchase my first pair. They look great. For sure. They are however not a great fit. Very uncomfortable and tight. The materials are very rigid and shiny not what I expected. Easy to scratch. I expected the fabric to be a lot softer. Laces are very short too. As I have worn them now I cannot return. I will definitely not purchase another pair. Not worth the price at all. Look good but that's about it if I am honest.
This is the second pair of Nappa leather Docs I have owned. I love the 1460 Nappa leather boot, however, I have noticed a slight difference in the properties of the leather. These pair of Nappa leatehr boots seam to me to have more of a 'rubberized' exterior which I found makes a loud 'creaking' noise when flexed as I walk or move my feet about.I'm not 100% sure the coating on the leather is the cause or not.The 'creaking' noise is loud enough that co-workers near me commented how they could hear my boots creak as I nervously bounced my knee t my desk.I tell myself the noise will stop once the leather 'weathers' or 'breaks in'. I'll give it some time to wear probably and perhaps the noisy boots will quiet.
Purchased a pair of Dr Martens for winter. My husband has had a pair of originals standard for 20 yrs,. I chose the Napper leather as I always had issues with blistering with new shoes and Napper Leather is softer and more forgiving. I still wore thick socks to break them in and have never been happier. Really comfotable to wear with the added bennifit of no blisters with warm and dry feet when walking in wet grass.
I have been wearing Doc Marten work boots for 35 years. Unfortunately they stopped making non steel toe versions of my favorite boots. I am now trying to find a suitable replacement. I wish the 1460 had the padded inside, tongue and collar like the work boots and the thicker Air Walk sole. The NAPPA leather is much softer than the 1460 work boot they offer. I think the boots will be fine for casual wearing but will still have to find a suitable work boot.
