Ok, maybe talk to me again in 3 months, but I don’t understand how you’re supposed to get your foot into this shoe? I have skinny ankles and I need to practically dislocate my foot and spend 20 minutes of wriggling to get past the elastic gussets. Once in, the width and length is perfect, meanwhile I’m losing circulation around my ankles. I’ve spent the last 2 weeks stretching them out with scrunched up paper and wide gin bottles, lots of leather conditioner, wearing at home etc and just now finally getting bearable. I’m hoping they continue to improve, but for whose feet are they designed? I’ve had Chelsea style before with no problems. What’s with the ankle space, Dr M?

Dr. Martens Chelsea 2976 Smooth Black Boots are very good boots. I get compliments all the time due to their distinctive Doc Marten yellow stitches and soles. They're very comfortable - feels like I'm not even wearing anything on my feet. They are very light despite looking heavy. They have excellent grip even in the wet. I haven't been able to fault them. They keep my feet dry even during wet shower cleaning work. Bstore provided a competitive price and reliable and prompt delivery.

Let me tell you my experience with this company and products. A day before I went on a local store and tried my normal size 42 EU . It was fine but I did not bought it because it was a different color. I Went home and ordered a pair 42 from the web site . It’s says to order your regular fit. Ok ! I also pay 11€ euro for express delivery 1-2 days instead of the free delivery 3-5 day . Got my package after 4 days but it’s not a problem . I opened the package and find out that one of the shoes has some imperfections. But that’s a minor problem . I put them on my feet and they are bigger and larger than the others shoes I have 42EU . Once again it’s not a problem because I can send them back ( I was thinking) . Put them next of some of my shoes 42EU and they look ... These are lovely boots. I won’t lie though, as the leather is so stiff it takes some doing to get them on and off, (I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to squeeze my foot in when I first took them out the box!) and I’m still breaking them in, but don’t let that put you off! Massaging them and wearing around the house or out for short trips is doing the trick and once they are on, they are so comfy that it’s worth it!They are amazing quality too. I’ve bought many pairs of cheap boots over the years, only to have to replace them after a couple of winters, but these seem like they will last so much longer.
I found these boots to be beautifully made and were just what I wanted, however the fit around the lower leg and top of the foot was too tight for me to get on easily. The actual size seemed correct just too tight on entry. It’s fair to say maybe my feet suffer from high arches perhaps? Maybe if I had persevered they might have loosened off but I couldn’t realistically take that chance as once worn they would be unreturnable so I returned them. Pondering now whether to try a size up?? Or maybe visit a store for fitting
Well made. Comfortable. Fit for purpose. Overall I am happy with them. Originally ordered them in a size 9.5 as that is usually the size I need, provided the width and height of the footwear is adequate. Returned them and ordered a replacement pair in size 10, which after a bit of assistance from my shoe stretchers fit perfectly. I take my dog out everyday and sometimes twice/ three times per day so I have now worn them in and am very happy with them, hence the 5*.Bought 2 other pairs of boots at the same, so I am confident once I ‘ break them in’ they will be perfect .
These are plush and soft leather boots. The Napa leather is much more pliable than the regular Chelsea YS, which is a much stiffer leather and more break-in time. Full transparency, I am a wheelchair user, so I will never even take a step in these things, but I love the style. The same booth in YS were too stiff and I had trouble getting them over my ankle and on my feet, but I did not have this issue with the softer Napa leather. Thank you, Dr. Marten! Shoes next.
I have been wearing Dr Marten Boots since I was attending secondary school, and have continued to this vary day. My career has allowed me to travel to many places across the globe attending many trade shows. When you are stood up all day a cushioned air sole is the only choice. In fact I have visited Las Vegas 18 times and my Dr Martens have been with every time. I’m 59, and in 2 weeks I’m off to Barcelona for a week, and my brand new 2976’s arrived on Tuesday. They have been nicely polished and are ready to go! I cannot recommend them enough. Just the best. Finally; there is nothing better when you walk around the office and someone says “nice boots Nige!”
I purchased a Dr martens 2976 boots a few years ago, which was a perfect fit, and I used it every day for work until recently, as it became so worn it was hurting my legs, so I decided to buy another pair, exectly the same...Unfortunately this isn't exactly the same, the neck of the boot is slightly taller and a lot firmer which make it difficult to put on and get off, also it hurts my ankle a bit.Hopefully after a few days more of wearing it, it will soften enough, that it won't Hurst anymore and also it will be easier to put on.The quality of the boot is extremely good, and the base also is very comfortable, just the slight pressure on my ankle which make me give 4stars.
I have DM shoes size 5UK and I love them and they fit me perfectly. I bought these boots in the same size and my foot is swimming in them. I sent them back and ordered the size 4 instead hoping they would fit but they were far too small for me. This was so disappointing because I love the quality of DMs, they are one of my favourite brands, but this sizing of the boots means that I cannot own a pair. Very disappointed with this, especially since I wear a size 5 from the same brand in shoe. Unfortunately I'll have to buy a different brand for my Chelsea boots which is something I really didn't want to do as I trust the quality of DMs above most other shoe brands outs there.
