Terrible product. Broke on the third tile I tried to cut. The support strut underneath seperated from the body, so it was bent like a banana. Hence, it loaded the tile length wise, rather than side to side. Went and bought a professional item that worked faultlessly.

Grabbed this tile cutter to do a large shower. Made over 240 cuts of both ceramic subway tiles and small format porcelain floor tiles. Never skipped a beat. I did feel it was a bit flimsy and it wanted to twist and flex when making some trial cuts. Screwed it down to a bench size piece of 18m ply between two saw horses and it performed a treat.Good value for money if you only have a small job to do with small format tiles.

I bought this over the QEP because this says it does 6-8mm tiles.First off, it does cut ok. After about 5-6 cuts I figured out the pressure needed, practice on some dead/scrap tiles first. The tail needed aligning for me, it didnt line up with the pressed ridge I was aligning my cut to so I ended up looking down the rails to see where the wheel touched the tile. I can slacken the screw and there's about 0.5mm adjustment that can be made. The fence is awfully short but I guess it's an economy model.

I bought this for a small splashback job with 30cm subway tiles. I soon noticed the backrest isn't straight leaving a couple degrees of play. As another suggested I bolted it down and made a jig for half-cuts. This cutter can do small jobs, but really a more precise cutter would make the job better and quicker. I wouldn't buy it again.
Flimsy construction and even with adjustments it failed to cleanly break an 8mm x 200 x 200 ceramic tile. Does anybody test these things? Looks like it’s back to the grinder or a more expensive model.
I bought this on the off chance it will do the job and I’m very impressed. Even though it’s only designed to cut tiles 6-8mm I was cutting 9.5mm tiles, and I didn’t stuff up any of them. Would definitely recommend this cutter
Will break any tiler larger than 100mm. Shearing ridge is low at one end and high at the other and cannot be adjusted. Get an expensive one ,$500 +, and it is idiot proof. My good one was pinched and I foolishly thought this would work for this small job. Bunnings tool tend to second rate and I rarely go there if there is an alternative.
Do not buy this as its useless, piece of junk. Would not cut the middle 50x50mm tiles in a mosaic sheet only the end tiles. Bent like a banana. Waste of money and time.
I picked up some 20x20cm 5mm tiles for a small job and needed to trim 1.5cm off the side of them. This cutter was more expensive than the tiles but got the job done with a clean cut. I scored the cut a few times first and then used some extra tiles on top to distribute the pressure while snapping, as I was so close to the edge. All came out well with only one broken tile early on, before I added the top tiles while snapping to distribute the load.
Can’t cut square to save itself and there’s too much slop in the cutting wheel. Almost impossible to consistantly cut tiles to the same size. It did however cut neatly along the scored line.
