The offer that ASDA currently has, has allowed me to get enough to replace all the batteries I need to, with a set in reserve with a best before date far enough into the future that I will almost certainly need them before then.

There's a reason Duracell are a household name and still come very high in most lists of the top alkaline batteries. I normally use rechargeable batteries myself but there are a few occasions when only 'normal' batteries will do, such as in our wildlife camera in the garden. That needs a whopping 8 x AA and unfortunately cheaper brands are a false economy for this application as it needs staying power (6 months or so) and is fairly high drain when it's used due to wi-fi and recording video.You really can't go wrong with these - good all round long lasting powerful batteries.

Always excellent quality, best batteries ever. Long lasting and reliable. I always prefer this brand as I got two sons and a lot of electric toys . Few times got different brand and what a disappointment plus need to open up toys to change batteries often and most of toys got those tiny screws and make it difficult to change . But with Duracell no need to worry for a while . Would definitely recommend
Well what can I say apart from well done Duracell, always been a massive fan of this brand and always will be, they never fail to disappoint. Use battery’s for a variety of things from mini fans, air freshener diffusers, TV remotes and not to forget the beloved Xbox controller. Really impressed with these battery’s currently massively longer lasting than other leading brands especially in the x ox controllers. What more can I say apart from fantastic brand and another fantastic product. Keep up the great work Duracell
For me Duracell seem to produce, consistently, excellent batteries. I have to say that I find the "branding" difficult. I never know which is supposed to be the top of the range. Is it plus power or ultra power or procell (or "industrial"). I assume that ultra power are the best as they last the longest - according to the packaging.I use these in my Roland Street Cube amp for busking. It needs 6 at a time unfortunately, but these have provided the most continuous use out of all the batteries I have tried - I usually don't push them past 9 hours because changing batteries mid-set is no fun and I wouldn't want them to die halfway through a song.Of all of the batteries I've ever bought in my life these are some of the most special. Powerful in efficiency and performanceThe Duracell AA batteries are great in my remote controls and other gadgets giving superb continuous power. They are reliable and long lasting. I find with Duracell batteries I am able to control the TV remotes etc excellently from further away ranges without any compromises of having to move closer to the appliances. They are very trustworthy and cater for all my family's use of batteries in toys, gadgets and more.
My son loves his birthday present which is a remote control car, but it needs AA batteries which will last. We have tried a few brands, at first they work well, but soon you notice the batteries are depleting, as the flashing lights become dim and when the car goes over thick grass the car slows down. So far the Duracell Plus 100% AA have lasted really well. My son has used his car none stop over the last 3 days and usually this is when the batteries start to weaken, not in this case, the lights are still fully lit and the car drives through the thick grass so fast, I just have to ask my son to be careful with the plants! My son can't believe his car is still running so fast. Excellent batteries, they are a must have!
Whether it's gadgets or children's toys, there's nothing more frustrating, and costly, than having to continually replace the batteries so I use Duracell because I know they keep whatever items I put them in running better for longer. I hadn't seen these 50% extra life ones before but it means me and my family can get even more use out of our toys and electricals from every pack.
