Duralex Picardie Tumbler, Clear, 220 ml Capacity (6 Pieces set)

Strong, heavy, lovely glasses, which were purchased after giving up on so SO many Libby sets that have fallen one by one with gentle use. Bought 3 sizes of these (17ish-oz, 12ish, and 7ish) and the whole family loves, loves them. Only wish they came in sets of 8. Will be buying more of the 17oz size. Very impressed!

Didn't come broken, was a little worried about that being glass. Ran them in the dishwasher after I got them. Little worried about that too, lots of reviews of shredded glass after being put in the dishwasher. I wonder if that happens if the glasses are cold b4 running in a hot dishwasher? Just a thought. But mine came out just find, all 1 piece. Little smaller than what I thought they would be; I called them my milk glasses, lol. But I really like them and it's time to put my 30-year-old plastic glasses away. Never know what's those plastic glasses are made out of. Shouldn't be a problem with glass.

Glassware was so poorly packaged that one glass in each set was completely crumbled. I suspect it was already broken and I was sent someone else’s return. No bubble wrap was used, it was put in a toolarge box and was obviously tossed about.

I prefer the color Picardie for cocktails, but in the morning I want to see my juice and milk and water with the vivid clarity that Duralex always provides, thanks to the wide flat verticals that define the form of the Picardie. I have to replace these every few years because I entertain a lot and guests of guests frequently walk out with Picardie in their hand… or purse… or backpack. That’s the only way they disappear because they are virtually indestructible. I’ve never broken one in my 30+ years of using them, through countless guests at dozens+ of parties large and small. Do not buy the knockoffs, even from known brands. There’s no substitute for Duralex.

My flatmate breaks glasses. I bought 100 in a box, admittedly they weren't great quality and he broke them all bar 3. I only drink coffee out of a glass and was more than pleased to have bought these. I've already myself sent one flying and it was fine. I will buy some more but a size up. I use different sizes depending on what I feel like at the time. Thanks T& W

Just hand washing the 12 glasses to swap out the old with the new. Discovered the inside of 1 glass is extremely rough with specks of what I assume is gritty glass from the manufacturing process. It isn't as dense as an emery board so I can't file my nails on it, but size of glass specks is same size, 25% as dense as an emery board on 50% of the inside vessel. Used a green scouring pad to see if it would remove the glass specks, but they're permanent. Duralux needs to improve it's quality control.

These glasses are perfect for my household. They are sturdy, but comfortable in the hand and on the lips. They come in a variety of sizes. Are easy to grip, and on the rare occasion one breaks, they don't shatter into many dangerous slivers.

These glasses are so lovely and classic. They never go out of style and so many sorts of decor. I especially like that they come in a lot of sizes. Shipping from Birchlane was fast and the glassware came wrapped really well. Highly recommend.

Duralex Picardie Tumblers 90ml (Pack of 6)

These are great, sturdy looking glasses. Tumblers. I like that, French Bistro, look of them. I wanted a smaller size glass, as l have the larger ones. They bounce well, as l knocked one off my kitchen counter. It bounced, onto my ceramic tiled floor. Phew Straight back into my hand, almost. That says a lot. They are big enough for most drinks. If you dont want to get your special glasses out. If they do break they shatter into rounded pieces. Not pointed shards of glass. I think that the dishwasher will eventually dull them. They are not overly expensive. So they will serve you well. It puts me in mind of school dinners. Ours were good They are called water glasses forget that Open a bottle of wine.
