Duralex Provence Tumbler 130ml Set of 6

Having worked in the hotel business, I must have bought thousands of these over the years. I bought some of these recently for my elderly parents. My mother in particular has trouble gripping things and dropped a number of breakfast juice glasses recently, breaking them all.She finds that with the fluted design and flat sides, these glasses are very easy to grip and more comfortable to hold than traditional glasses and will just bounce off the kitchen floor if dropped Ive asked her not to test this theory though....

I have owned a set of the 12oz tumblers for the past 7 years, no chips, no breakage. They have survived through 3 big moves, a very clumsy roommate, and a NYC sink too small to wash them in without banging them against the faucet every five seconds. They have gone through so much abuse and still look shiny and new. Plus, they stack, which is great for kitchens with limited storage They are comfy to hold and elegant enough when setting a nice table. I recently bought a set of the large tumblers still the same great quality and will likely only buy this brand in the future.

These are great, sturdy looking glasses. Tumblers. I like that, French Bistro, look of them. I wanted a smaller size glass, as l have the larger ones. They bounce well, as l knocked one off my kitchen counter. It bounced, onto my ceramic tiled floor. Phew Straight back into my hand, almost. That says a lot. They are big enough for most drinks. If you dont want to get your special glasses out. If they do break they shatter into rounded pieces. Not pointed shards of glass. I think that the dishwasher will eventually dull them. They are not overly expensive. So they will serve you well. It puts me in mind of school dinners. Ours were good They are called water glasses forget that Open a bottle of wine.

I like these glasses and have used the same glasses for breakfast fruit juice for years. I prefer to limit myself to a little sweetened fruit juice rather than unsweetened or artificially sweetened juice so these glasses are perfect for me. Also a good size to help swallow tablets. Ideal too for whisky shots, liqueurs etc. They stack well and dont take up much space. Like any glasses they WILL shatter if dropped or hit with a hard object, so after 20 years I needed a few replacements. Perfect and identical to my exisiting Duralex glasses.

These glasses have proved to be the most resilient and good looking ones Ive ever purchased. They have the right balance of aesthetic appeal and quality craftmanship that I need for everyday use. I have had mine for around 10 years and they still look good. I use them for water, wine, whiskey on the rocks and hot beverages like lattes since they can withstand most temperatures. They are dishwasher safe and have become my goto gift for my friends.

I love the Picardie glasses. I love that they are durable, easy to hold and stackable. They dont scratch easily because one of the sets I ordered had a broken on in the middle. shipping gorillas because they were well packed The glass was in many pieces but no sharp shard, more like when safety glass breaks. Anyway some of the glass was even dust it was so fine. I thought maybe some of the other glasses would have scratches, but no, they all looked just fine. Another thing I love about these glasses is that they dont hold water on the bottom when they are washed in the dishwasher. I have had glasses and especially mugs that I must hand dry from the dishwasher because the bottoms are not flat and water doesnt drain. Beautiful, easy to hold Picardie tumblers. Love them.

The iconic Provence glasses dont need much description. Bombproof, cleanly cut not crystal glass level but then nor is the price and give a pleasing sense of history and heritage in use. However, I dont recommend these for Cortados. The sides get too hot to comfortably lift it when full of coffee. Instead, get the Duralex Picardie, their other, older design. The Picardie is the original Duralex this Provence design came later and does a better job in ever regard, in my opinion. The Picardie has a wide flaring top, which allows you to hold it at a cooler spot and tilt into your mouth. The Provence is great but not for coffee, and I cant think of anything it does better than the Picardie which is the same price and also available here.

Nice looking glasses, we bought the little glasses for fruit juice as well as a couple of 6packs of the normal size for water, They arent as stable as we like because the base is small and theres not enough weight near the base of the glass, so if accidentally knocked they will spill. More annoyingly today I dropped one. Instead of a few large pieces with several splintery bits, the whole thing shattered into zillions of bits, many like tiny glass sandpaper, but others chunky, which managed to cover almost all of the dining room carpet, plus 2 chairs. As we have 3 dogs we have had a worrying evening sweeping and vacuuming the floor, and I cut myself, which doesnt happen when clearing up normal broken glass. Disappointed.

These cups have been amazing. I was unsure about the size when I ordered but this is the same size as the cafe I usually go to. Feels like I’m actually there! Great quality and been using them for quite a long time and they are still looking brand new.

Review of 250ml Clear Provence Tumbler Glasses - Pack of Six - By Duralex

Glasses are not clear, but have a pink tinge through them. Was not stated in the description.We woke up to a glass exploding in the cupboard which left a huge mess. Hopefully no more rude awakenings.Very dissapointing.
