I am a licensed cosmetologist in California. I have been buying and using OPI nail envy for forever! I thought it was the best. It would always peel and my nails actually never grew. Thought I would try something new. I wanted to stay away from the toxic chemicals but was also desperate for my nails to grow and look healthy. Six-months of using this religiously and I do love it! Please see picture. My nails have never looked better. But I am still struggling to get length. Thus the 4 instead of 5.

I am a nurse and my hands are constantly being washed, sanitized, etc. For the longest time my nails are brittle, soft, and can never grow. I tried gel nails, gel manicure, and dip, only to further weaken my nails. After some fungal infection and actual pain with my nails, I stopped and decided to rehab my nails. I pair this with a cuticle oil and vitamin e oil to keep my nails strong and moisturized. It took about 3 months to grow out my nails to the length I want. I try to give myself a manicure once every 2-3 weeks and put a coat of this daily for up to a week and then let it fade until I do another manicure. I also like to use this as a base coat to protect my nails from the glue from acrylics. The only minor aesthetic issue I have is that it cracks if you don’t reapply after a few days and I find the smell overwhelming. Otherwise I definitely recommend this product! I’m so glad I went ahead and purchased this. Everything I tried before either flaked or chipped off, was so sticky it would never quite dry, or would give my nails a weird hue or cast. Over the years, my nails have become virtually hopeless. The ridges are so pronounced they make my nails split as soon as they grow out. Any stress on them would make them split so I had to keep them very short. Even then they would manage to split and i would have to wait for the damage to grow out enough to smooth. While this is not a ridge filler, just using it softens or hides the severity of the ridges. What is so impressive is how it lasts. It doesn’t chip or flake away. This is the longest they have ever been, and I am 52. Every day I have been applying a layer, and remove them once week and start over. Every time i wash my hands i use cuticle oil. Tried this product some years ago and my nails grew really well. However, after three months they started to split and flake again. Tried another lot a year or two later but had to stop using it as it really hurt my nails on application! Just bought it again in the hope that it would improve the condition of my nails for a special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn’t hurt my nails this time, and two seriously split nails were actually mended within a couple of days!!! Delighted! Hope it lasts this time!

This nail growth system is a game changer. I just ordered my second bottle after going through the first one in 3 months. I primarily use this twice a week and when applying I have found 3 coats is best as long as you let the previous coat to dry completely. I leave it on my nails for 3 days, take it off and then reapply. I have observed my nails going from frail and brittle to strong and growing in length. This stuff truly saved my nails. I use the 2 formula for sensitive nails, for now without color polish. Also have to say the brush for applying makes it so easy to apply evenly as well.
I like this strengthening nail polish. I’m old…and live alone..and garden and wash dishes by hand and feed and clean up behind a few indoor cats and several outside critters. I’m always washing my hands. This product has helped me to improve the look and strength of my fingernails. Thank you.
