I thought I had done my homework on this purchase before taking the plunge. My first cordless one. Would the battery last the pace or die out halfway through the job? Uncomfortably low for me. The handle would need to be a good 150mm 6” longer for it to be comfortably high for me to use with the strimmer operating in the vertical position while trimming lawn edges, which is mainly what I bought it for.Alternatively it’s the angle between the head and handle that is wrong as adopting a comfortable upright position results in the line undercutting the lawn edge. If I bend down to keep the head vertical back strain soon becomes evident some way into the job. Also the wire frame drags on the grass interfering with the smoothness of the cut so you have to lift the head a bit, bearing its additional weight and reducing depth of trim. What’s wrong with a wheel to support the head like some other manufacturers use?Unfortunately, so far, it’s an uncomfortable, slow and disappointing tool to use and not a patch on my previous strimmers. And most importantly I’m now stuck with it and will have to get some use out of it before I eventually change. Sadly Bosch now have a somewhat disgruntled customer.

Bosch Cordless Grass Trimmer

Bought this last month and have used it multiple times in the garden. It's lightweight, easy to use and reliable - perfect for keeping your garden in order. I've used it on grass and some thicker weeds and it seems perfectly adept at taking care of the tougher stuff - I've only had to extent the cutting cord twice so far despite using it most weekends in the last month. Would highly recommend.

This product is well presented and comes boxed with instructions. Assembly is easy to follow but could be difficult if strength is an issue.Reasonably lightweight, not too cumbersome and easy to use. Spool cap difficult to remove and replace if one has health issues such as arthritis.Product does a good job cutting grass on the flat but can be more awkward to control when edging. Cleaning can be difficult when grass clogs around spool. Generally speaking a good product with a few minor annoyances.

Excellent Trimmer for Small to Medium Gardens!

I recently purchased the Bosch EasyGrassCut 26 280W Corded Grass Trimmer, and I am extremely pleased with its performance. This trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle, making it perfect for maintaining small to medium-sized gardens. The 280W motor provides more than enough power to tackle overgrown edges and tough weeds with ease.

Most useless garden power tool I have ever bought!

I chose Bosch down to it being a well established brand but this is just the most time consuming trimmer due to the line constantly snapping and requiring feeding through. The spool constantly snapped when used to edge the lawn; flicking short spool cast offs everywhere ( I had to ensure these were collected so my dog did not eat and choke on them) . ONE use has used a complete reel of line! I am so disappointed, really expected this to be great and save me lots of time but I spent more time re-threading the spool line (which also requires you to remove the battery then re-install it each time) than actually using the trimmer. I don’t recommend this product for these reasons wish I had chosen an alternative brand that fully AUTOMATICALLY feeds the line. Not quite perfect

Prompt delivery and arrived in good condition. Having assembled it the first thing I discovered, the wire is too short, in fact a third of the length of my old Black and Decker one. Will now have to cut the plug off and lengthen it with a water proof connector.I don't know why but on first use the string promptly disappeared completely! Had to pull the reel out and re-thread it back through the hole again. It then appeared to work and feed as expected.Being quite tall I found it OK in use but it can throw up a lot of debris, so beware.

It doesn’t come with a battery which is in the small print if you search for it. I had to take it back to a store because I couldn’t do an online return. Even the Currys store assistant was shocked that it didn’t have a battery. I imagine that most people don’t have a supply of Bosch batteries and chargers and so it would be useful if it was made more clear. The price of a separate battery and charger was extremely costly (around £50) so I returned the strimmer and purchased the same model with a battery and charger from a rival store for pretty much the same price and strimmed my grass.Strimmer is great though…

The black plastic disc thing you put on at the bottom of the strimmer doesn’t stay on. It keeps coming off which is annoying so I have stopped bothering to keep putting it on. When you cut the grass with the strimmer all the grass blows up all over your shoes and clothes.Apart from all that it cuts the grass ok.

Useless

The line is absolutely unfit for the purpose it was designed for. As soon as it touches a weed (nettle) it breaks. The longest time I send it for without this appending was 15 seconds. A 5 minute job took three times as long as I kept having to open up the case and pulling out (and threading through) more line.I’ve put two stars only because I likes the fact the box was smaller because the pole comes in three parts and it is very easy to put together.I’ve bought cheaper ones in the past that have worked better, so am going to clean it up and return it.

Very poor product for the money.

I bought this product last month to replace my worn out strimmer that i’d had for about four years. I chose this model because Bosch tools have a very good reputation. Also there was 10% off. What a let down. I think the discount was given to get shut of a poor product. The handle is non adjustable & even though I’m only 5ft 10in in height after 5 minutes use i have backache. It does not do a good job at cutting even short grass, My old strimmer was less than half the price & did a fantastic job. I do not recommend this product.
