As a middle school counselor I do a lot of walking. I bought the brown pair three months ago and I haven't thought about my sneakers. I have worn these while walking all over New York City putting in 12 miles as stated by pedometer. I'm 61, 275 pounds and I have arthritus. At the end of that day I felt excited and delighted minus the miserable joint pain of the past. I look forward to wearing the ST.1. They are so comfortable. Ordered shoes in magnet color, soles sidewall finish pealed off after mere minutes of wear. Sent back on a return. Ordered another identical pair, which had the same sole issue. Offered to keep them for a 50% discount but was only offered 15% max discount take it or leave it. So this time used the warranty return process. Took over 2 months of waiting, which meant almost 3 total months without my shoes. And when I finally got the warranty pair the magnet color was no longer available so settled for black which are too shiny for my tastes also they make a lot of noise on epoxy floors, like an exorbitant amount of noise, an embarrassing amount. But the worst part of the was terrible buying and service process, will likely be buying from elsewhere from now on. That wouldn't bug me since most places you can do an exchange however here they don't do exchanges, only returns. This is my 5th pair of ECCO shoes and have loved them all until this pair. All previous pairs have been amazing from both comfort and quality standpoints.This pair however, is very stylish, quality seems great… but these are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had! I wear them Monday thru Friday and was hoping they would break in but they have not and I have blisters on both sore feet.I wear them in pain everyday only because they look great and were so expensive that I can’t afford to get something else. I would recommend the ECCO brand… just not these shoes!!
I’ve been wearing Eccos for the past 15 years and what can I say, the hybrid derby is spot on. As always, comfortable straight out the box. Seems like I’m wearing a tennis shoes. The shoe does run a bit large so take note of that. I’m usually a 12-12.5, I’m in 11-11.5 with plenty of room. Many compliments on this shoe as I get on all my Ecco shoes. Definitely a must have.
The shoes look great but are too narrow relative to other Ecco shoes purchased in the past. Tried them in store and appeared to fit well, but after wearing for a few hours on the first day my feet were very sore. On the second day of wearing they were so uncomfortable that I had to pull over my vehicle and change into another pair of shoes. I purchased a brown pair , was hoping to purchase a blue nubuck pair and I’m glad I didn’t. I had tried the next size up and they were too long. I’m going to take them to a shoe repair to determine if they can be stretched and if not, I just threw away $250. I also purchased a pair of Biom 2.1 X Country M shoes that I have yet to wear and thinking of returning because I have the same concerns.
Got an email with a 40% off sale. Picked shoe I wanted that was on sale. Then I selected the shoe color and size and ordered. Kept waiting to see the sale price in cart while purchasing. Before I knew it I made a purchase and the shoe was not on sale. I like the shoe. I feel like I was mislead while looking at shoes on sale and picked the shoe then the color. I didn’t realize a different color was not on sale. Shoe color not on sale shouldn’t show up in the sales add when selecting a shoe. Like the shoe but I’m frustrated.
I am a long-time fan of Ecco shoes however, these shoes surpass every other pair I have had. I bought the brown ones and later purchased a pair in black. And, even cheap old me, I didn't wait for a sale. They are comfortable, sturdy, not too heavy and very nice looking for the courthouse. I am recovering from an Achilles injury and Plantar fasciitis and these shoes have been a wonderful addition to my recovery plan that is working.
They hurt my feet every day that I wear them. They felt good in the store, although the right one was a little tight, and the guy who helped me stretched it out a bit. But they just won't seem to break in (after a dozen days of wear). Size 13, brown, fit well and felt good walking around, but at the end of the day sometimes I drive home barefoot rather than keep wearing them.
I discovered Ecco shoes about 18 years ago after recovering from an injury. I needed supportive comfortable and preferably good looking shoes and Ecco delivered on all fronts. Whether it's a dress shoe, sports shoe, or even sandals my Ecco's never fail me or my feet. They're not inexpensive, they are worth every cent. I'm probably going to order a third pair of these, I have them in black and cognac and I really think I need a blue pair. I wish Ecco made shoes to wear to bed, I'd wear them. If you're looking for a gift for me I'll take them in size 46.Best shoes ever.
