I purchased the above vacuum cleaner in January on the recommendation of the Harvey Norman sales executive, based on my circumstances. I have a family with two pets. I purchased the vacuum as its advertised as being able to handle human and pet hair. Unfortunately, it does neither, it doesn't even pick up the dust from the floorboards, just pushes it into the corners, which the regular head doesn't reach. I have persevered for a few months thinking my expectations were perhaps too high after having a Dyson, but this stick vacuum just doesn't deliver what it advertises. I do still need a vacuum cleaner, so would be happy to exchange for a higher spec'd model, and cover the increased cost. But this product is just a waste of my time.

I had to return 2 of these. The reviews were right. It overheats and switches off after 5 minutes of use. I got the Q9 as well. These reviews were also right, it had no suction. Your staff were extremely rude saying I was the problem and I had returned the vacuums dirty. The manager said I should have pulled the machine apart and cleaned it properly, even though I had explained that I had the vacuum for 3 weeks and only used it for around 45 minutes in total. He suggested I was a dirty person in a dirty house. Even though I told him about the online reviews he said I was the problem and threatened to kick me out of the store because I had become frustrated with him and the 3 vacuums I had to return. This stick vacuum is an excellent product. It comes at a good price and performs really well. Once fully charged, it can do the whole house. Three carpeted bedrooms and vinyl covered lounge, dining and kitchen. The dust collector may need emptying more than once, but you can then continue to clean without needing to re-charge. Very light to use, easy to empty and the attachments store conveniently on the vacuum. The in-built light in the cleaning head is another bonus feature. The hand-held cleaner section easily detaches for cleaning upholstery, curtains or blinds or even inside the car. Highly recommend it.

Using my new vacuum for a second time. So far I can say I like it. Great for a small place. Love the Cordless feature, has good suction, gets into corners where a big vacuum can't, and really like the light on the front. Maybe things for improvement....a larger dust holder so not necessary to clean every time. Not a fan on how to empty by pulling off filter. The brush on the bottom does get tangled with hair and would like a charging station on the wall to have floor space like the Dyson. I really like it for my place. It's perfect.
Great vac, with the hand-held able to be detached. Suction is perfect for rugs and hard floors (have not tested on thick carpet or shagpile rugs). Easy to empty. Seems to hold its charge even if you turn off the charging cable. Two attachments (upholstery and crevice tool) are very effective, though the crevice tool does get easily clogged with hairballs (i.e. the long hair of humans, not creatures) thanks to the brushy bit on the end of it. But easy to manage. The swivel head makes it easy to get around.
Overall the Electrolux Well Q7 is an excellent Vacuum Cleaner. The Good Rechargeable so no cables to plug and unplug. No Vacuum pipes to get stuck turning corners. Extremely manoeuvrable making it super easy to get under and around furniture. In addition it is easy to change hands because it it lightweight and has no cords. It is very efficient to dispose of the waste because the catcher completely and easily detaches. Easy to see when the catcher is full. The included accessories are very useful for surfaces like window sills and hard to reach places like cornices. The main 'dustbuster' is detachable for even easier access to the hard to reach spots. Overall Opinion This Vacuum is a fully featured machine with the appearance and weight of a glorified dustbuster. It is very easy to use and does everything you want it to do. The only real downside is the limited battery life. As long as you don't need to Vacuum the whole house you're in great shape.

First time I vacuumed the house I had to recharge because of the amount of dog fur it sucked up. Since then I can easily vacuum the house without having to recharge. The recharge is on the slow side taking roughly 4 hours to fully charge up and that gives you about a half hour for vacuuming on high before having to charge again. You can detach the vacuum from the stick to deal with car etc as well!. The cutter on the roller is excellent as well! And the vacuum has no problem going from carpet to tiled floors. General quality of the appliance is good and it is relatively easy to use. Some things are even designed better than those at Dyson. For example, the docking station. You dont have to screw the docking station to the wall to mount the vacuum. Big bonus for those of us who rent. Also, the Electrolux Well Q7 vacuum has all its attachments neatly stored within the vacuum cleaner body. Thats awesome. I always struggle to neatly store all the attachments that came with the Dyson. The vacuuming rotating brush also has inbuilt LED light. It is very handy when vacuuming darker places. The first charge (charge from empty) takes around 4 hours. Not good, not bad, just important to know for those that expect things in an instant. Operation is straightforward and in general the vacuum does a great job for the price point. There is an option to slow down/speed up cleaning brush rotation and sucktion to save power for non-carpet surfaces. While I didnt time battery usage it is enough to vacuum the average Australian house and there is juice for some more. We have two cats and I have long hair. which it is supposed to handle, yet it struggles to pick up either. It constantly leaves clumps of matter on the carpet and doesn't maintain suction as advertised. You can vacuum and the carpets and floors still don't look clean.
