I've been wanting to try this mascara for a while, and now being more home-based than ever before, it was the perfect time. Great ingredients, YES. Nice, soft eyelashes, YES. Beautiful brown color, YES. Natural look, YES. Great for my sensitive eyes, YES. Smudge-proof. NOPE. I'm glad I've been testing it out at home first. As others have noted... raccoon eyes a'plenty. It's unfortunate because I really do love everything else about it. But not sure that I'd feel good wearing it out in public. Haven't pool-tested or cry-tested it yet, but I have a feeling if it migrates like this in my dry climate--and indoors--that it's not going to do well in those environments. It's not worth returning, since right now we're all not going out much in public anyways, and otherwise ... I kept seeing this mascara on Instagram and just kept making excuses not to get it, but I finally caved and OHHHMYYY sooo glad I did! It doesn’t contain water so don’t expect instant perfect lashes. The formula is designed to be buildable to apply as much or as little product as your lashes desire. I love the controlI have and I know that it lasts all day too.I originally purchased it in brown, and now I have all the shades - I love it that much! Seriously, do yourself a favour.

After I went vegan I had the hardest time finding a truly sports quality vegan mascara. I stopped wearing it all together because I wasn't impressed with the performance of most of the vegan mascaras out there. Even the ones people rave about are only waterproof enough to last during a night out dancing, for example, but aren't really indestructibly gym proof. Ere Perez's waterproof formula is the first natural and vegan mascara I've tried that truly lives up to the waterproof claim. If you do hot yoga, surf, etc, this mascara is for you. I adore this mascara. I was thrilled to do a natural product in this colour- purple mascara is great for green eyes!It’s lengthening & thickening and gives a lovely dramatic spidery lash if youbuild it but also works as a quick slick for a natural look.The only criticism I have is that it gets rather thick and dry quite quickly. That said, when this happens it’s still very useable. I’ve had maybe 5 or 6 of these mascaras and use maybe every other day. Each tube lasts a good couple few months
Bought this for the colour - like a bright violet - as very few natural brands seem to offer coloured mascaras and was super excited to receive it. Sadly I’ve subsequently realised (after using) that it’s not vegan (and I am) so this has put a bit of a dampener on my feelings about it! I still say the colour is great but a couple of things I don’t love (on top of the fact it’s not vegan 🌱): (1) the small size - the wand is hard to work with as you don’t have the same length and angle options and (2) the formula itself is quite dry so it feels like it’s hard to get much on the lashes. Not sure if I got an older batch but there certainly wasn’t any visible surplus at the end of the brush where there usually is with other brands. Sadly I won’t be buying this again ... I actually really like this mascara, despite majority saying otherwise. It’s a deliberately dry formula, which you’re either doing to love or hate. It wasn’t my cup of tea at first, admittedly but the dry formula is what I think helps lengthen my lashes. I can control and build it slowly, without horrible smudging and it looks really natural. It doesn’t contain any water so instead, it contains nourishing oils, which is why it can transfer under the eyes if you wear oily eye creams etc.It’s not my favourite for big bold lashes, but I wear it every day for healthy long natural lashes.

It made me eyes itchy and the constant rubbing at them has now given me a rash on my eyelid. Finally, when I went to remove it with my trusty REN balm ... I actually prefer lengthening formulas over volumizing ones. My goals with mascara are to tint my fair lashes and to slightly lengthen and separate. I do not like any clumps whatsoever. I wouldn't say that this formula clumps but it is not great at separating and actually makes my lashes look shorter. I have to spend a lot of time grabbing the tips with the brush to help counteract this. As far as the tinting effect, the look is VERY natural. I went for the dark brown and it's really more of a light taupe on my lashes. It does transfer on me a bit by the end of the day ... I always give others a shot but for me this is it. Forever. And I’m not exaggerating. I’m Asian but not heavily hooded eyes. My lashes aren’t poker straight but they don’t stay curled either. With simple curl from my curling wand, apply this mascara and BAM! Lasts all day, eyes not red, no flakes and stays curled. Not spidery at all. It’s ok the drier side which I like. Some people might prefer wetter but this works absolutely perfect for me. Can’t praise this enough
I like that this mascara is a lighter brown compared to other brown mascaras. But the texture was so dry and clumpy that I struggled to evenly and smoothly coat my lashes. I was frustrated that the coat on my lashes looked so unnatural and clumpy that I attempted to remove it and found the colour was hard to remove around my eye area, which wasn’t expected because it doesn’t say waterproof. And as I tried reapplication - straight after having a little bit of oil on my lashes as if to help - but it was still awful so I chucked it in the bin. I understand if the mascara is trying to look matt by not being glossy but I just found the appearance really crumbly and clumpy on my lashes so I wouldn’t purchase again.
