The Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is a liquid cream that flows like water. I've never been a full-coverage foundation kind of girl. My skin is generally pretty good, so I don't really need full coverage 99% of the time, and I hate how obvious (imo most) foundations look. I used to use the double wear light and liked it, though I found it to be ever so slightly too high coverage for me. If you're looking for good coverage, move along, you won't like this! Don't expect this to cover up blemishes, dark circles, etc. - you'll need a concealer for that. But, the overall tone correction is great. It's also the first foundation I've tried that genuinely hasn't felt like I had anything on! I love that it has more skincare-oriented ingredients, and adds another layer of sun protection! If you have dry patches, it will cling to them a bit, but it's not super noticeable. I found this wore just as well as the double wear light - my forehead does look quite shiny at the end of the day, but that's just how my forehead is. It applies and blends really nicely with my sephora #56 brush. I roughly apply and spread it with my fingers first (to minimize product soaking into the brush) and then buff it in with the brush. Without a setting powder it will crease, but I found creasing to be extremely minimal with the kosas cloud set powder! It's definitely not mattifying enough imo for my forehead, but for the fine lines around your eyes and mouth, it's a perfect combination. Overall I really like this. I'm glad there are options out there for people who like sheer coverage! Don't hate on this product if you like good coverage - not everyone does! We light-coverage ladies need an option too :)

I've used this product for over 4 years so I feel like I can give a solid review. This product, without a doubt, is the best foundation on the market. I have tried everything under the sun from Nars, Haus Labs, Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup Forever, etc - but I always come back to this foundation. Doesn't work for combo skin, bad package design

I have a few issues with this product:1. The bottle that I received wasn't as full as I expected to be. I've bought one years ago from Belk and it was way fuller.2. Speaking of bottle, it doesn't have a pump or anything to help you spill the right amount so you always end up spilling more than you need which goes to waste. It's also not spill-proof at all.3. I was matched the wrong shade both on the website and when I went to Belk for a shade test. They gave me the second to lightest shade which turned me into a ghost.4. And finally, my combo skin HATED this thing. I broke out in painful pimples around my mouth, my skin looked dry and cakey while my nose oily and shiny.Maybe for someone else it will work. He heard I had 6 kids and 8 grandkids. He was shocked and asked me how old I was because I didn't look like I had grandkids, let alone 8. I saw d I wasn't telling people my age. He asked who my husband s and was and I pointed him out (he's an amazing looking body builder with no grey hair). He said he looks around 50 and you must be mid to late 40's. I laughed and said I'll take that and thank you very much! I know I look younger (good genes) but I think a big part of it was that I felt beautiful because this foundation made my skin look amazing. The old adage of looking on the outside like you feel like on the onside rang true. Give this a try. I hope this helps everyone else feel beautiful like it did me.

I was always a cheap and cheerful girl when it came to foundation, using rimmel 25 hour foundation, but as I aged (current age 36) it didn’t work as well for me anymore! I asked around friends and consulted my good friend Google for a foundation with full coverage but also excellent staying power! This brand/product was recommended, plus Google kept pointing in the direction of this foundation too! So I bit the bullet and paid the 37 pounds for the foundation! I was worried that it would be a waste of money and I was only paying for the brand name! How wrong I was!, after using this foundation now for near on 8 months, I’m totally converted! Shade Matching Difficulties

Enough has been stated about this foundation’s longevity and feel, which I’m also pleased with. So I’ll focus more on the shades. My advice- be open minded. If the depth and undertone you would normally choose isn’t a match, you can likely find one that’s much closer by looking outside your regular depth and undertone range.I’m light with warm olive undertones (green that contains more yellow than blue). Here’s my shade match experience:1W1 Bone- my winter shade. When comparing bottles side by side, Bone is clearly the yellowest of all the light to light medium shades. I put one on each side of my face and wore all day, you could hardly tell the two apart and it was not noticeable I had two different shades on. The light skinned warm olive folks out there (which this shade was made for) need this to be more yellow please! I like the foundation enough to just accept it though, and hope they continue adding more shades.

I have used this foundation from the first time it appeared on the beauty counters!Must admit I have been drawn into the 'hype' of other foundations out there but always come back to my favourite double wear.So much choice now of colours, for every season when skin tone can change.I have used foundation brush, fingers to apply but my favourite is a wedge sponge.I apply one pump, (the pump which you can purchase separately is absolutely brilliant) on the back of my hand and gently blend all over my face with a sponge.A little concealer where needed and then a dusting of translucent powder with a big soft brush. I have used It Cosmetics CC cream for YEARS, but it seems they have altered the colors, because they one I have used forever started to look a bit orange on my skin, so I thought I would try something new. I was excited to see Doublewear on sale during 21 days of beauty and couldn't wait to give it a try. I purchased the Cool Bone shade. I'm really disappointed with this foundation. The formula is extremely thin and runny. It also provides minimal coverage. I NEVER have to do more than one pass with It CC cream, but with this I have to literally double-the-wear and add another layer just to get nearly medium coverage. the perfect foundation IMO

This is my go-to foundation. It’s the only foundation that i’ve used that is FULL coverage without multiple layers. This does not come off you could hug your man without transferring the foundation on their clothing so that’s a plus. I recommend using a dewy serum/skin tint to achieve a skin like finish. I pair this with the Fenty skin tint because this IS a matte foundation and adding some drops of Fenty allows the foundation to still have coverage but gives me the look I want. Another tip is USE LIQUID PRODUCTS on top of it, it adds the perfect natural glow to the matte finish. If you want to use your previous solid products I recommend applying those under the foundation like I do with my bronzing stick. That’s how I achieve a non-cakey full coverage look.
