I bought this and added alot of other cameras and door sensors 2yrs ago. I use it daily and love it. I have both the high end and regular cameras plus the in-home and doorbell cameras. The only advice is the the high end cameras are great for daytime distance clarity only but don't work as well as these cameras at night. Plus how you use them and set up the trigger feature will determine that amount of times you will charge them durring the year. Some of my high use and high trigger cameras must be charged 2-3x per year but the others maybe only 1x. Overall very easy set up and easy to mount and dismount for charging. The negative is charge times. Fyi the silly Black additional covers save battery life in my testing in the colder temps

Their customer service and technical support is non-existant and the community section withinthe app is full of the same unresolveds issue dating back a couple of years. I place absolutely no blame on the retailers, it's soley Eufy's fault for not working to resolve a long-standing and well documented problem with this system. Some people have the setup and have had no problems with it and the picture and sound quality is great I have to admit. But on night one I had an intruder in my yard that the dogs alerted me to and all cameras had gone offline. This is a great concept however its unreliability makes it a liability. Keep your receipt, you may need it.

I cannot speak for notifications as I don't have them turned on however in the short time I had them on after setup they seemed to come in quick. Using the Website - If I am waiting for a package or hear a sound outside my house I always use the website. And this is where my biggest complaint and annoyance with these cameras exists. The web feeds just don't work randomly, I will hit play the the player turns black and starts loading but it just wont work. Sometimes I cant look at a camera feed for a few hours because it keeps giving a "Failed to request." error. I cannot speak for the cloud storage option as I do not use it. Reliability - I have not noticed any issues with rain, snow, wind, etc damaging the cameras at all. They seem well designed and well built. The charge port has a large rubber seal to keep water out and the mounts themselves are very sturdy. I have not had any cameras die or ever had to contact support for help, however, there is an issue with one of them. I have a camera pointed at the sidewalk out front of my house, aimed at where my car is parked, and this camera gets about 50-80 motion events a day. Randomly this camera will just appear as offline in the app and the website. The only way to bring it back online is to bring the camera inside and plug it into the charger for just a second, after which the camera will spring back to life like nothing happened and will continue to work for another few weeks/months before doing it again. Perhaps there is something wrong with this unit however the problem is not enough of a headache for me to really do anything about it. Would I recommend these to somebody? Yes, If you want to be able to keep an eye on your house when your not home or want some insurance against porch pirates these cameras do the job about 99.9% of the time. They do have weaknesses, however you are buying wireless battery powered cameras so you are gonna have to make a compromise somewhere.

I want to be notified, but not for cars going by. That said, I'm still tweaking the motion mask. This is the only area that's given me any trouble, but I think it's because I'm only allowed to make square shapes. I could be wrong, maybe you can make other shapes. I'll update if I figure that out (only have created motion masks on mobile app, so need to try web app next to verify). No monthly fees - this is where Eufy has the market in my opinion. Have you ever heard of camera licensing? Well'every major VMS (video management system) company, that is reputable, charges a 'license' fee (recurring charge) per camera channel. That adds up over time. The fact this was a one and done payment, and it has all of this functionality, really caught my eye. But then I said how bad could it be? And if it’s not bad I’ll just return it. It probably arrive 24 hours after I ordered it and it took me an entire 25 minutes to download the app set up the system and get the cameras online. Mounting was a breeze. I agree with some of the reviews in which a magnetic mounting system might be better. But for what I’m using it for it works just fine. I don’t look forward to having to get a step ladder out to charge them every time they need to be charged. But what are you gonna do. As far as performance. They function exactly how advertised. And that would be for all of your cameras. As far as battery charge, it’s a little too soon for me to comment on and maybe I’ll update my review down the road. The cameras have only been on the house for about two weeks now. But really, if you’re looking for a security system for your home, I would recommend this one for sure for ease-of-use, easy set up, and overall functionality. You need to connect the home base to the internet, and turn it on. then on the app you select add device The cameras only have a charge port with a cover at the bottom, and a sync button on the top. The step by step prompt on the app will ask you to press the sync button, which will sync the camera to the home base and onto your app, you do this until all you cameras are on. Now a good hint* the home base can actually boost internet range you do this by connecting your home base via the app to your internet so you no longer need it connected by Ethernet cable. The cameras work about 10 m away from the home base but please bare in mind that if there is say 2 walls between the home base and the camera the signal is likely to weaken, and may cause a lag.* if your internet gets turned off you will have to go through that wifi process for the internet again. I recommend before mounting the cameras, test the range and reception of camera and video feed to make sure everything is at optimal connection. The fun part : fiddling with the camera settings is easy to use and to understand. You are given options of what you what to be sensed and be alerted by humans only, or all motions. You can select how the sensitivity is, how long you want your alert recordings to be, you can set the alarm during the day or if your away to go off. Whats extra awesome is these cameras they have two way mics so regardless you can hear outside, and can press the button to speak if you desire to, both mics come out clear and understandable, you can also press the alarm button, to manually set it off and get given the option to have the alarm go off on the camera that has alerted you, or home base or both! Decent volume and a very good feature. Video recording only lags maybe 2 -3 seconds in moments of time, very small time window so to me doesn't really effect, but again just increase sensitivity and the camera will pick up the moments quicker. Image: in the photos provided of different areas and times of day, youll see the image comes out clear that night vision is amazing and recommend to use, the day time is also amazing the color resolution and pixels are great for job they were designed to do. Basically all in all great clarity of video feed! Mounting: mounting is easy i will advise you will need a drill bit size of 15/64 inch ( 5.95mm) as its not provided in box. Also will advise be careful the screws and plastic things are more so designed for bricks etcetera so if you are installing it on tin and wood be careful, ask your shop assistant or local hardware store to insure your cameras are installed properly. Other than that mounting is easy, find the ideal place, you can adjust the angle to suit your needs. if the battery needs charging you just unscrew the camera, remember! it is slightly heavy so handle with care when deattaching and attaching don't want to drop it! Then you just connect the cable thats provided to your home base and it'll charge. I Will recommend going the extra mile and buying the silicone cases for the cameras easy to put on, just slides on. They cover the cameras white exterior making them less visible to the human eye and just gives the camera added protection from weather and from the strong UV rays if the camera is placed in a sunny area. Other personal notes: its good to know these cameras are highly unlikely to be hacked as they come with military grade software which is reassuring. Last couple days had extreme wind and rain and sun putting the cameras to the test and they have been outstanding no damage, no glitch in recordings, haven't moved from position or mounting. Now battery life is not going to always to be a guarantee of 180 day life as it all depends on your settings if you have high sensitivity for all motions want long recordings. This will use up the battery more so make sure you have a fiddle and find the settings that suit for your home. Great for protecting homes, or watching over your family or your pets. I would recommend this product definitely it was well priced and offered alot in exchange, we had a recent unwanted visitor at our home and having this set up has made me feel safer in my home. So I hope this review helps others wanting that safety and security. Used to have arlos…which are now greatly overpriced. Armos are more simple. These euphy cams however, have very good video, individual alarms on the camera AND the sound station and decent motion detection. Why 4 out of 5 stars? The app…I HATE too many options and I HATE being advertised to. It’s not that bad, but enough that it bothers me. All in all though, I’m pleased with the system. Pretty easy to setup. Way easier to charge than arlo. Only other complaint is that I was under the impression I could expand storage for these, but I cannot. That being said they are for internal and I’m not planning on keeping a ton of video there. 16gb is a lot of space overall and I don’t buy that people are actually watching all their motion alerts.

I have a wired doorbell where I pay a monthly subscription and thought to expect the same or similar ability to record and review. What you get here which is different is that it only records the motion trigger and inturrepted recordings. I have tried many different ways to fine tune and adjust but the auto recordings need improvement. There are many times I set to identify humans only lower the sensitivity and it records cars passing by. Or it sees the human late and cuts off the recording too soon and doesn't fully capture the entire event. If you go the manual recoding way then you can set 20,30,60 second recordings but then seems like a waste of power. That's another most important thing, battery power. Well I have worn down 75% battery life in one month alone and now writing this review after charging 2 weeks ago I'm down to 43% power using optimal battery life mode. It is super cold but still... I can't see where even in the best case scenario that I'd pull 180 day life on these batteries maybe 90 days if your lucky. Overall, the system does capture events, is on the delayed sensitive side and cuts off events a few seconds before they should.

Going to return the 2K pro cam for another to see if it's just a problem with the camera. 2C cam that it came with works well. Purchased two solo cams with one that fails to hold connection. Reset cam and it came on this morning then was disabled again an hour later. Four years with Arlo and never had this much trouble shooting. Looking like I should return Eufy system and go back. Phone support made me think Eufy would be a better choice but a rude customer rep and frequent camera disconnects are contributing to my consideration of returning to Arlo.
